Justin Allen is a 2019 RHP/C with a 6-0 186 lb. frame from Kingston Springs, TN who attends Father Ryan HS. Large frame with solid, well-built physicality; good projection remaining as well. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.75 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher; deceptive delivery without much back hip engagement, lands collapsed and online with hips, compact arm stroke through the back to three quarters arm slot, fastball worked 74-76 mph with good heavy life to arm side. Shows good feel to spin the ball, curveball has 11/5 shape with good sharpness and depth. Did a very good job of pitching to contact and getting quick outs. Sets up to hit with high hand set, hanging leg lift trigger, leans back into load, line drive swing plane with solid strength off the barrel when timed up, showed good line drive jump off the barrel at times. Worked out behind the plate; receives out front with two hands, gains good ground coming forward, circles around ball, showed solid arm strength up to 76 mph with pop time as low as 2.12 seconds. Good student.
