Estanli Castillo Abad (2020 OF, Kissimmee, FL) may have just turned 15 years old and isn’t eligible to sign for another two years but he turned in one of the better performances in recent memory at the World Showcase. With five long and majestic home runs, Castillo shows easy plus raw power and bat speed, leaving everybody in attendance in awe.
Davis Tavarez (2017 OF, Santo Domingo, NC) more than looks the part as he stands at 6-foot-2, 190-pounds as he creates solid separation to his righthanded swing and has the bat speed and strength to match. He gets extended out front very well and with an easy swing and connected for a few hard hit, line drive home runs.
Miguel Angel Hichez (2017 OF, Santo Domingo, NC) showed nice bat speed and present strength to his righthanded swing as he stayed direct to the ball with leverage at point of contact. When on time with his weight shift Hichez showed big carry off the barrel to the pull side with an easy swing.
Carlos Sanchez ( OF, , SD) has a large and physical yet loose and athletic frame which he uses well to generate leverage at the point of contact while showing big separation to his righthanded swing. The bat speed and strength are both standout tools and he does a nice job of staying short to the ball while remaining balanced as well.
Kevin Bermudez (2017 C, Winter Park, FL) is an uncommitted 6-foot-2, 200-pound righthanded hitting catcher who flashed interesting strength from the ride side. When on time he was able to show leverage out front at the point of contact.
Widimer Juaquin Aquino (2017 3B, Santo Domingo, NC) is yet another talented bat out of the Dominican Republic who impressed with his righthanded bat speed and overall strength. He shows nice fluidity through the zone and is able to create nice lift out front with hard jump off the barrel to the pull side.
Sebastian Salado (2017 3B, Santo Domingo, SD) like other mentioned above, stayed short to the ball while creating nice leverage and was able to generate backspin on well struck balls to the pull side. He shows a nice launch angle out front and the ball jumps off the barrel well with simple, repeatable mechanics.
Dalton Wingo (2017 OF, Plant City, FL), a Central Florida commit, has a very well built and athletic 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame and incorporated that strength into his righthanded swing very nicely. The bat speed stands out, as does the jump he’s able to generate off the barrel with nice extension and looseness from the right side.
Daniel (Danny) Harris IV (2017 SS, Stone Mountain, GA) showed nice hand speed and overall fluidity, especially when he gets extended from the right side. He worked the middle and pull side parts of the field with regularity and came off the barrel well with a short stroke.
Kenneth Maisonet (2017 OF, San Sebastian, PR) threw 88 mph from the outfield and followed it up with a sound righthanded stroke, remaining short and quick with his swing path to the ball. He connected for steady line drive contact to the pull side and was able to repeat his swing well.
Joab Gonzalez (2017 SS, Arecibo, PR) is a 6-foot, 170-pound shortstop who showed quality arm strength across the diamond (88 mph), but also swung the bat well from the right side. He does a nice job of shifting his weight off his backside and gets the barrel through the zone showing plenty of looseness and comfort working to all parts of the field.
Santis Sanchez (2017 C, Las Piedras, PR), an uncommitted catcher out of Puerto Rico, put on a defensive show with plus arm strength from behind the plate but also swung it well at the plate. He has a long and fluid swing with solid present bat speed, showing hard carry off the barrel to all fields, especially to the pull side.
Austin Chavis (2017 SS, Bel Air, MD) did a nice job of creating separation to his swing and hit the ball out front regularly. He was able to generate backspin on his contact to the pull side and did a nice job of repeating his overall swing plane.
Nicholas Daniels (2018 RHP, Oldsmar, FL) might be listed as a primary pitcher and committed to Florida International for his abilities on the bump but the 2018 grad also impressed during batting practice. He has a balanced swing and shows leverage at the point of contact and drove the ball nicely to his pull side with carry.
