Forrest Ruiz is a 2017 OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Pawling, NY who attends Trinity-Pawling HS. Medium athletic build, has some strength plenty of room for more. 6.95 runner, moves well to the ball in the outfield, good fundamental footwork, has a quick and strong arm, throws carry very well and are accurate, very solid defensive tools overall. Left handed hitter, spread stance with limited sift towards contact, short inside swing path, tends to cut off his swing out front, contact approach, mostly opposite field contact, has the strength and athleticism to create more bat speed with adjustments. Excellent student.
