Olson is an impressive ’29 arm from Pennsylvania that is already peaking in the upper-80s. The 6-foot-3 right-hander moves extremely well down the slope, has tons of present arm speed and immense physical projection that is only going to further his velocity upticks over the next several years. Add-in a feel for pitching, aptitude to spin the baseball and a bulldog mentality, and you have all the ingredients for the young fireballer to continue rising up the boards. 

Ian Choi, RHP/3B, Chantilly, VA | Freedom

Choi has continued to perform each time we get eyes on him, while climbing the velocity ladder as well on the bump. The athletic, sturdy built right-hander is now up to 89 mph with huge carry on the top rail. He pairs it well with a tunneled slider that generates whiffs in the zone, while showcasing the ability to manipulate both speed and shape to it. Add-in his two-way prowess at the plate, where the Chantilly, VA native hit over .400 in PG tournaments in ’25 and you may just see Choi continue to ascent up the board.


Alejandro Cartegena, LHP, Allentown, PA | William Allen

Cartagena dominated in his only appearance of 2025 at the WWBA Underclass World Championships, as the athletic left-hander punched out eleven across five no-hit, scoreless innings. He held the 86-88 mph range throughout with tons of life through the zone, while pairing it well with a slurve shaped breaking ball that varied in shape a bit. The ability to hold the velocity, miss bats in the zone and land the breaking ball, while repeating his delivery bodes well for success in the future.


Brodie Taylor, RHP/OF, West Monroe, LA | West Monroe

Taylor jumps nearly 450 spots to 154 in the newest Class of 2029 Rankings update, as the athletic two-way prospect exudes tons of projection and things to dream on for the future. On the mound, there is plenty of arm strength as he has peaked at 89 mph already with the ability to spin the slider. Offensively, it is a repeatable compact stroke with tons of present bat speed and strength at impact. The athleticism, physical upside and toolsy set of skills should allow for this profile to continue rising up the boards as he matures over the next few years.


Jake Abrams, RHP/C, Edison, NJ | Ranney
Previous Rank: 191 | Current Rank: 149

Abrams is another two-way product with huge upside on both sides of the ball, as the Edison, NJ native is a run producing machine at the plate with huge power potential. On the mound, he been outstanding throughout his nearly sixty-six innings of work in 2025. With a fastball that now tops at 88 mph, the physical right-hander has amassed an obscene amount of strikeouts- 113 to be exact in PG tournaments this year. As Abrams continues to refine his overall repertoire and adds even more velocity, expect for him to continue rising in the rankings.

Colton Windham | 3B/RHP | Lakeside, CA

Windham jumps 28 spots in the new rankings all the way up to number 11 behind an outstanding fall that saw him bring home the MVP for the WWBA Freshman World Championship MVP. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound left-handed hitter has shown off the plate discipline and power upside all year to put together a campaign that saw him launch seven home runs and drive in 51 RBI with a 33:14 BB:K ratio. The frame will only continue to get stronger and with an uphill bat path and leverage in the swing, the power will only continue to grow. It’s an advanced middle-of-the-order offensive profile that will be one to continue to follow closely going forward. 

Brayden Greene | LHP/1B | Fayetteville, TN
Previous Rank: 190 | New Rank: 156

Greene jumped up 34 spots and will continue to rise with a high ceiling on the mound. He has a lean 5-foot-10, 168-pound frame that has plenty of room to fill out and more velocity in the tank. He’s already running the fastball up to 86 and shows a ton of feel to spin, featuring a legit out-pitch slider with spins that have been up to 27-2800 RPM with tighter shape to go with a curveball and a change-up. Impressed with his pitchability and as he continues to polish the command and compete in the zone more, expect him to make another big jump in the rankings. 

Owen Duncan | SS/RHP | Waxhaw, NC
Previous Rank: 51 | New Rank: 37

Duncan jumped 14 spots in this update, thanks to his athleticism and two-way potential. The right-handed hitter has shown off all the tools, including a burgeoning power tool as the 6-foot, 170-pound frame continues to mature and develop. Has a ton of bat speed and creates loft with the feel to work both gaps. The power-speed combination and how that continues to mature and develop will make him a name to follow closely. On the mound, he has also been up to 87 with good ride on the fastball that allows him to set up his two off-speed pitches. Exciting two-way upside with a chance to continue to climb up the rankings.

Brayden Schwantz | RHP/OF | Daniel Island, SC
Previous Rank: Top 1000 | New Rank: 255 

Schwantz made the jump up 295 spots up to 255 in the update, thanks to his present pitchability and a solid three-pitch mix. Long and whippy arm that comes through from a high over-the-top slot and good ride to the fastball that has been up to 87. Also shows feel to turn over a change-up with good vertical drop and a slider in the upper-70s that he can get swing-and-miss on that helped him post a 17:3 K:BB ratio during the fall season with a 1.24 ERA in 11.1 innings. He’s an aggressive strike thrower on the mound that challenges hitters with an arm action that makes it difficult to pick the ball up and the athleticism in the 6-foot-1, 176-pound frame to continue to see the velocity rise. As the velocity continues to tick up, expect him to do the same in the rankings.

Bryce Haydock, OF, League City, TX

Haydock is a tooled-up outfielder who performed well on both sides of the ball all year. He has a 6.58 sixty time on record and that type of speed shows up in game. He hit 449 on the year across 73 games with 22 extra base-hits to go with it. He also stole 51 bags. High end athlete who should continue to get better throughout the years.

Nathaniel Long, RHP, Houston, TX

Making a big jump here after his most recent outing at the Fall South World Series and certainly opened eyes. Long went 5 no-hit innings and struck out 15 batters which included an immaculate second inning. It was one of the most dominant outings we’ve seen all year. Long is a physical right-handed pitcher who stands in at 6-foot-1 with ample projection remaining. Fastball got up to 87 with good arm side run to it showing plenty of life. He can spin it too with a slider in the low-70s and sweeper like traits. The velo should continue to tick up and the arm just works.

Henry Kuenstler, RHP, Heath, TX

Had a real strong showing during the WWBA Freshman World Championship out in Florida where he when 5 quality innings while striking out 8 batters. On the year he is pitching to a 0.65 earned run average across 43.1 innings pitched. He has also struck out 51 batters to go with it. Kuenstler has ramped the fastball up to 87 from a lean and athletic 6-foot-0 frame with a ton of projection remaining. Fastball showed good ride and traits to it with big life out of his hand. He can spin it too with a tight horizontal slider in the mid-70s. The arm works well and he moves well down the slope and it’s easy to see what could come with proper polish and development.

Jordan Owens, SS, Leander, TX

Climbing up the rankings after hitting 436 on the year across 60 games against high end competition. Owens is an athletic short stop who just flat out hits with actions on the dirt. He controls the barrel well with good bat speed from a short and compact swing. He has shown good instincts on the base-paths as well and looks like the complete package on both sides. Owens made a big jump this year and should continue to trend up in every facet of his game.

Matti Dimaggio, OF, Santa Barbara, Calif. | Dos Pueblos

We’ve only seen Mattias in short glimpses at the SoCal Summer Kickoff and the SoCal Fall Classic but in both tourneys he had loud moments that had lasting effects on our scouting staff. It’s an uber projectable 6-foot-3, 185 pound frame with noticeable athleticism and strength that he taps into consistently at the plate. It’s a powerful left-handed stroke that is relatively simple in its moves while still being able to generate advanced bat speed which results in some outlier EVs for his level. Simply not many players in this class are as advanced offensively while still holding a ton of projection. 

Romeo De La Torre, INF, Corona, Calif. | Corona HS

With strong showings at the PG Fall World Series and the WWBA Freshman World Championships De La Torre sees a significant jump in this release. It’s an athletic MIF profile with a bat that continues to perform and look the part. He exudes hitterish traits in the box with a swing that has a lot of parts to like. It’s an easy rhythmic stroke where the hands work fluid, loose and fast in throwing the barrel on a clean path through the zone where it's above avg. bat speed and impact for his level. This year Romeo slashed .493/.590/.725 across 65 games. He looks to make an immediate impact at a high school program in Corona that has seen a lot of prospects come through of late.


McKay Skarlanic | RHP, Carlsbad, Calif. | Carlsbad HS

Skarlanic was a huge standout at our California Prospect Showcase back in October which propelled him from a non rank to the #201 spot. We are talking about a physical, athletic and projectable 6-foot-3 frame that looks the part of a power pitcher on the mound and an impact bat in the box. He’s a smooth and balanced mover down the slope where he’s running it up into the mid 80s, T86 already with ease while also showing a sharp slider he has feel to manipulate and execute. Then it’s a loose and powerful right-handed swing that shows serious pull side juice. Part of a small list of players with his type of upside in California.

Alexander Scott | OF, Santa Clarita, Calif. | Sierra Canyon HS

Scott jumped 44 spots nationally after a strong WWBA Freshman Worlds where he was 5-for-8 at the plate which included three XBHs, three walks and zero strikeouts. Scott looks the part of that top-of-the-order and athletic CF profile. He moves around quite well all over the field and the bat just hasn’t stopped performing at a high level. Personally a big fan of the swing where it’s a loose turn of the barrel on an uphill path that has shown an ability to lift, backspin and impact balls well to the pull side. Not a whole lot of whiff in the profile as well where he had a 28:6 walk to strikeouts in 2025. He’ll be joining an already talented crop of underclass players at Sierra Canyon HS. 

Josh Sosinov | MIF, Marlboro, NJ | Manalapan
Previous Rank: 200 | Current Rank: 159

Sosinov had many moments during the Fall that helped propel this 41 spot National jump. Strong showings at the PRD Ghost Showcase, Fall World Series, Northeast Fall State Championship and WWBA Freshman World Championships. First few things that standout include his athletic 6-foot-2, 180 pound frame and his high level offensive performance where he slashed .420/.573/.650 across a large 71 game sample in 2025. At the plate, it’s strong and fast hands that really whip the barrel through with ability to impact the baseball to all fields, especially to the pull side. If the defense continues to improve on the dirt, we could be looking at a T100 type prospect sooner rather than later.

As the old saying goes, “all good things must come to an end” and that was the case last Tuesday when UCLA (36-3) saw their 27-game win streak come to an end in a shutout loss to UCSB.  However, the No. 1 team in the land still has their 21-game winning streak in Big Ten to protect, as they have started off league play without a single blemish.  The Bruins will remain atop our poll this week and their historical start to the season roll on.  The UNC Tarheels (33-7-1) move up to No. 2 this week after they made their biggest statement of the year by taking the weekend series from now No. 4 Georgia Tech (32-7).  No. 3 Texas (30-8) and No. 5 Georgia (32-9) both went (3-1) on the week and won their SEC series to stay in contention for the regular season title.  Florida State (28-11) had a nice bounce back (4-0) week and re-enter the Top 10 at No. 8 this...
