Jordan Compton (2018 SS, Oklahoma City, OK) Utilized a compact, aggressive swing that generated solid bat speed on a hard in double. Also pitched featuring a fastball that flashed good downhill tilt though the zone topping at 86 miles per hour. Tossed 2 scoreless innings while striking out 4 batters.
Jacob Rothenberg (2018 OF, Houston, TX) Showed a smooth, fluid swing path with a knack for finding the barrel collecting 2 hits in 3 at-bats. Also worked one scoreless inning topping at 82 miles per hour.
Ryan Ollison (2019 C, Carrollton, TX) Singled in first 2 at-bats employing a simple, repeatable swing plane that created good strength at contact.
Thomas Miller (2018 1B, Mansfield, TX) Miller also singled twice in his last two at-bats showing the ability to manipulate the barrel and create hard contact to all parts of the zone.
Sammy Silva (2018 3B, Corpus Christi, TX) Doubled in last at-bat of the day showing solid strength in swing with the ability to deliver barrel through extension with authority.
Andrew Shoultz (2018 C, Scurry, TX) Shoultz showed a smooth, clean arm action that generated good life through the zone with a fastball that topped at 85 miles per hour. The 2018 grad work two hit less innings while striking out 3.
Peyton Zachry (2018 LHP, Austin, TX) The 2018 lefty effectively stayed off barrels while flashing good swing and miss potential. Zachary topping at 85 miles per hour and changed speed with a tight breaking ball in the mid 70's. Struck out 8 batters over 3 innings while allowing one hit.
2-Columbia Blue vs. 4-Purple

Logan Ellis (2018 3B, Bushland/Amarillo, TX) showed good tools on the mound highlighted by a short and deceptive arm action and a fastball that topped out at 82 mph. Ellis showed an advanced feel for his curveball which has swing-and-miss potential.
Evan Sutton (2018 LHP, Kearney, MO) put his good awareness for the barrel on display with a hard double down the third base line.
James Starnes (2018 C, Spring, TX) showed intriguing power potential to the pull side of the field with a run scoring double to the right centerfield gap.
Bennett Shoptaw (2018 RHP, Little Rock, AR) was a strong presence near the top of the lineup and showed good lead off tools. The primary arm has a contact-oriented approach and collected two hits and two runs scored.
Austin Roccaforte (2019 SS, Tomball, TX) played an outstanding game at shortstop with good instincts and smooth actions. Roccaforte made a number of plays in the hole with the requisite arm strength to nail runners while off balance. He also added a deep RBI double.
Kyle Jackson (2018 RHP, Conroe, TX) continued the offensive showing with two hits. He put his power on display with a hard hit double off the left centerfield wall.
Caleb Flores (2018 3B, Amarillo, TX) showed interesting two-way potential with a fastball up to 82 mph while mixing in a good slider. He also showed his power with a long home run to right field.
Ryan Depperschmidt (2019 OF, Shady Shores, TX) launched a home run to deep left field. Depperschmidt jumped all over a fastball for a no-doubt shot.
Ryan Walden (2018 C, Edmond, OK) had a strong day at the plate and showed off good pitch recognition in the process. He crushed a double down the line and stayed back to hit a line drive over the third baseman's head.
Weston Hickman (2018 OF, Whitesboro, TX) made a number of tough plays during the game including a diving catch in centerfield. Hickman crushed two doubles as well, including one that he showed good hustle to reach second base.

Austin Gallagher (2018 RHP, Spring, TX) had a RBI double and showed the ability to hammer pitches up in the zone for extra bases.
Bennett Shoptaw (2018 RHP, Little Rock, AR) stuck out 6 batters over 3 innings of work and attacked hitters with mid-eighties fastball. Worked from an over-the-top arm slot and showed good feel for a 12-to-6 shaped curve ball.
Austin Roccaforte (2019 SS, Tomball, TX) had 2 hits and scored a run, while showing a relaxed and loose approach. He battles well in at bates with a line drive swing plane.
Ryan Depperschmidt (2019 OF, Shady Shores, TX) had 2 hits and showed off quality speed with a stolen base as well. He hits with a relaxed stance and shows good follow through through the ball.
Kade Brewer (2018 C, Sherman, TX) was short to the ball with a compact swing path and tallied 2 hits on the day.
Justin Ruble (2018 RHP, Tomball, TX) has a large and projectable frame. His fastball worked in the upper 80's, and reached 90 mph. He flashed a breaking ball that showed sharp break and tilt.
Krystian Padron (2018 C, Spring, TX) hit an RBI double in the game.

South Top Prospect Batting Practice Highlights

Jared McClain (2018 3B, McKinney, TX) had a very strong and physical frame which helped translate to hard hit line drives. He showed good present bat speed along with the ability to impact the ball with strength through the point of contact; leveraged swing throughout with balls that traveled well and had backspin.
Kolsen Powers (2019 C, Abilene, TX) had a very clean and repeatable swing path that allowed him to make consistent contact. Powers showed good feel for the barrel of the bat with the majority of the hits being line drives up the middle and to the pull side of the field.
Justin Ruble (2018 RHP, Tomball, TX) stood with a wide base and a high hand set with a high back elbow. Ruble had a smooth and short stroke with a direct hand path to the ball and the swing path itself was naturally lofted.
Caleb Flores (2018 3B, Amarillo, TX) showed a very physical presence in the batter's box with a very fluid stroke from the left side. He generated good extension when he was on time and out in front of the plate with loud contact and barrel skills to the pull side of the field.
Bennett Laurence (2018 OF, Rockwall, TX) worked line drives to all fields and showed a good swing highlighted by the quickness in his hands. Laurence showed some jump off the barrel when he was on time to go along with balls that were impacted hard to the pull side.
Trey Harris (2018 OF, Little Rock, AR) utilized a short and compact swing that complemented the contact, line-drive oriented approach nicely. Harris has quick hands with requisite bat speed and had a direct path to the baseball. He was able to smoke line drives to all fields.
Pete D'Alessandro (2018 3B, Driftwood, TX) has a strong, physical frame to go along with a fluid swing that showed good bat speed throughout the path. D'Alessandro repeats his swing well and stays on plane consistently with good power potential to both gaps and all fields.
Lennox Rivera (2018 1B, Irving, TX) is another hitter who showed na intriguing power ceiling. The righthanded hitter showed some lift and bat speed in the swing and allowed him to generate power to the pull side and left centerfield gap. Rivera showed some torque through his hips and his batted balls carried well.

Chandler Arnold (2018 RHP, Mesquite, TX) pitched at 84-87 MPH with his fastball with sound mechanics. He's got a long body that projects well and the velocity projects as well. He threw an 11/5 curve ball for strikes with tight rotation and shape. He struck out 7 in his 3 innings of work.
Spencer Cochran (2018 RHP, Prosper, TX) pitched at 82-84 MPH with good arm speed. He worked ahead in the count with the curve ball and showed feel for it.
Kohl Drake (2018 LHP, Sachse, TX) pitched at 79-83 MPH with his fastball and located it well. He didn't allow a hit in his 3 innings of work and struck out 5.
Trey Bostic (2018 RHP, Waxahachie, TX) pitched at 82-85 MPH touching 87 MPH with his fastball. He attacks hitters and threw 3 pitches for strikes. He threw a heavy change up with good run and sink on it at 75 MPH.
Logan Ellis (2018 3B, Bushland/Amarillo, TX) hit a hard double to left field and squared the baseball up well. He has a good plate presence and is confident in the box.
Saul Hernandez (2018 3B, Galveston, TX) collected 2 hits in the game and showed quick hands at the plate. He has a balanced stance and showed a good approach at the plate.
Thomas Miller (2018 1B, Mansfield, TX) hit a hard double to left center field. He has a quiet approach and a clean swing path to the baseball.
