Kade Brewer is a 2018 C with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Sherman, TX who attends Whitesboro HS. Medium frame with an athletic build and wiry strength. Primary catcher with a low, slightly side set stance while receiving. Gains some ground while working out of crouched with clean footwork. Smooth paced exchanges and stays on back side while releasing from a three-quarters slot. Baseball came out quickly and producing accurate carry to the bag topping at 77 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 1.94. Right handed hitter with a balanced, even stance and sweeping front side trigger. Hands launch from a slightly lower slot on an uphill plane through extension. Primarily looked to work between the gaps and flashed solid bat speed with strength at contact. Jumped off barrel well when on time and squared generating tight back spin with good carry. Very good student as well.
