Austin Bain is a 2018 OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Duncanville, TX who attends Martin HS. Large frame with an athletic build. Frame projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 7.06 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth, deliberate footwork while closing to the baseball. Clean glove action while funneling the baseball with developing fluidity while working through exchange. Released from a loose three-quarters arm slot producing on line carry to the bag, topped at 83 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Created good hip torque through the zone that produce solid bat speed on a simple, uphill plane through extension. Swung with the intent to lift the baseball and flashed good feel for the barrel while working to all fields. Good student as well.
