8/1/2021

4-Maroon vs. 10-Steel

Jin Kasuya (2025, Lawrenceville, GA) went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Both doubles were well-struck to the pull side. Quick bat with good barrel feel on an even plane combined with advanced speed around the bag.

Riley Williams (2024, Greenville, NC) threw 2.0 shutout innings and recorded 4 strikeouts while only allowing one hit. Up to 88 with the fastball out of a nasty arm slot at ¾ and showed really good feel for a nasty slider that got a lot of swing and miss.

Trey Hicklin (2025, Urbandale, IA) had a really impressive showing, going 2-for-3 with two doubles. Belted the first one off the bottom of the left field fence and then followed it up with another shot into left center. Big physical kid with some evidently loud pull-side pop.

Mason Archie (2025, Lawrenceville, GA) had a nice day at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a pair of well-struck singles. Displayed some solid barrel feel and aggressiveness with the bat-head. Quick through the zone and made consistent contact.

Griffin Wells (2024, Pascagoula, MS) finished the weekend off with a multi-hit game, going 2-for-3 with an RBI. Stays inside the ball really well and showed good feel for a quick bat.

16-Navy vs. 22-White Game Highlights

8/1/2021

16-Navy vs. 22-White

Wilmer Martinez (2025, High Point, NC) went 1-for-3 in day two with a deep double over the left fielder’s head. Short and quick to the ball with good lower-half rotation. Shows good pull-side pop from an athletic frame.

Juaren Salas (2025, Bremerton, WA) had a solid day at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a pair of singles. Went the other way on his first at bat and crushed a line drive over the shortstop. Showed off some speed and beat out an infield single for his second hit. Solid barrel control and has a bat path that plays to all fields.

Camden Hodge (2025, Winder, GA) went 1-for-2 with a single to right field. Did a nice job left-on-left getting the bat head out and smoked a line drive. Smooth lefty swing with solid bat-speed and feel for the barrel. Had a good outing on the mound as well striking out 3 in 1 inning of relief. Worked in the low 80-s from a three-quarter arm slot. Mixed a frisbee slider that he showed good feel for and got a ton of bad swings and misses.

Rivers Kurland (2025, Tampa, FL) was 1-for-2 at the plate with a deep drive the left center for a double and an RBI. Barreled up a pitch in his first at bat that resulted in a line out to the shortstop. Shows a quick bat that stays through the zone and creates loud contact.

Ethan Holliday (2025, Stillwater, OK) had a 2-for-3 day at the plate with two singles and an RBI. Hit a rocket up the middle for his first hit and then followed it up with a groundball that he beat out for an infield single. Very polished left-handed swing with solid feel for the barrel and body.

Trey Morris (2025, Fresno, CA) was 1-for-3 with a deep pull-side double to right field. Big frame with a smooth left-handed swing that proves to show some pop. Good feel for the barrel as well.

1-Black vs 13-Gold Game Highlights

8/1/2021

Ethan Porter (2025 3B, Costa Mesa, CA) was dominate in his two innings of work with the fastball reaching 86 mph. The big physical right-hander was ahead early in counts with his low 80’s heater and mixed in two distinct breaking balls for good measure. The slider was hard with short horizontal life as he showed it more often. The curveball had more life with downer actions coming through the zone. The whole package projects well for Porter as he has feel for the zone and three offerings.

Jonathan Medina (2024 3B, Miami, FL) missed bats with the heater in the zone getting plenty of swing and miss. The young right-hander repeats his delivery well with plenty of strikes and consistent sinking life on the fastball creating the swings-and -misses. He mixed in a as well with 12-6 shape later in the action tunneling well off the fastball and getting chase below the zone.

Thomas O’Connell (2025 C, Harwinton, CT) found barrels early and often in his at bats. His left-handed swing is smooth with good connection through the whole body as the hips fire on time to provide the power. Defensively he was solid behind the dish moving well and showcasing his athleticism as he worked well in the crouch with soft hands and flexible hips.

Russ Martin (2025 RHP, Rose Bud, AR) came out firing bullets at the knees in the low 80's. He has a shorter arm action allowing his velocity to play up even more as hitters were late on the offering on multiple occasions. The arm is quick and the breaking ball matches arm speeds well as he throws in in the low 70's with tighter spin.

7-Purple vs 20-Royal Game Highlights

7/31/2021

Jack Ruckert (2025 SS, Baton Rouge, LA) had a solid day at the plate with two knocks as he spread the ball around the yard. The first hit came to right field in his first at bat as eh dropped in a single. Later in the game he would come up with a base hit the other way once again on a fastball. Once on the bases he made his way around at will with four stolen bases on the day.

Hector Gonzalez (2024 LHP, Miami, FL) brought some deception to the mound with a lower release from an extended three-quarters arm slot. The tall lean left-hander through a lot of strikes in his out and got a good bit of swing and miss on his fastball as he located it to the arm side with some movement all day.

Sam Rosand (2025 RHP, Washington, DC) had one of the better fastballs of the game topping out at 84 mph in his outing. The arm is quick for the young right-hander as he gets some arm side movement on the fastball at times, giving hitters fits as they try and barrel it up. The Changeup he showed solid fading action in the low 70’s as he threw it primarily to left-handed hitter with swing and miss type depth

Jackson Miller (2025 OF, Palm Beach, FL) came in for his one inning on the mound and was very efficient throwing a lot of strikes with the fastball and working ahead in the count at 80-84 mph. He threw the breaking ball well in the mid 60’s with depth as the inning went quick with a strikeout and two ground balls. At the plate he got himself a hit with a hard-hit ball through the left side showing off the strength in his hands.

Rodrigues “RJ” Groomster Jr (2025 SS, Simpsonville, SC) took some impressive hacks on day two of the event as his lightning quick hands stand out in his right-handed swing. In his first at bat he got a pitch to his liking on the inner half and drove a ball deep down the left field line for a foul ball but none the less impressive. In his next at bat he once again got the bat head out this time driving a ball back up the middle for a single.

Nicolas Partridge (2025 3B, Lakeland, FL) took a few impressive swings on Sunday showcasing a smooth left-handed swing smooth left-handed swing. He gets his hips through the swing well creating some jump off the barrel to the pull side. His long lean build projects nicely moving forward with room to fill and add strength as he matures.

Maddox Monsour (2025 SS, Carrollton, GA) made the most of his last at bat with a triple left center field that hopped off the wall. The swing showed a smooth path with good strength at the point of contact. He ambushed a fastball in the middle of the plate showcasing his ability not to miss good pitches which will vow well for his offensive abilities moving forward.

Green vs Royal game highlights

8/1/2021

Chase Mobley (2024 RHP, Plant City, FL) showed his typical top of the class stuff at 88-91 with a big breaking ball at 69-70 and then a short, hard slider at 77-80 mph. The stuff is obviously special but the mechanics and ease he does it with really standout amongst others. Mobley has mastered the ability to resist early rotation and rides the tension down the hill to produce excellent mechanics.

Erik Parker (2024 SS, Suwannee, GA) has shown a really advanced all-around game and showed maturity in the approach as he took a breaking ball on the outer half and lined it into right field for a base hit. The build and overall physical tools and the ability to activate all those tools in his game will be the separator for Parker. Parker also showed smooth actions at SS as he plays under control and utilizes a strong arm across the infield.

Kaemyn Franklin (2025 3B, Broken Arrow, OK) impressed both at the plate and on the mound. Franklin had a sharply hit single up the middle and shows the ability to stay square to the ball and uses positive direction. While on the mound, Franklin sat 83-84 mph and didn’t a good job commanding the zone and attacking hitters.

Tucker Holton (2025 OF, Hoschton, GA) smoked a double down the left field line and really showed off what is a strong offensive profile. Holton has quick twitch ability and really shows off his rotational skills on pitches that are left over the plate.

James Skiffington (2024 RHP, East Longmeadow, MA) showed well as he roped a single back up the middle and proceeded to steal a base a few pitches later. Skiffington has excellent instincts for the game and takes what the defense gives him at any given moment.

6-Orange vs. 18-Purple Game Highlights

8/1/2021

Noah Malone (2024 OF, Glendora, CA) was dominant on the mound working 84-86 mph with his fastball that showed some life to it, he touched 88 mph as well. Malone displayed a slider with good depth and bite to it. He also flashed the occasional changeup. Cruised through two innings while striking out three opposing hitters.

Evan Hankins (2025 1B, Bristol, VA) was up to 84 mph on his fastball that showed significant run over his two innings of work. He paired that with a slider that showed some tilt to it. Hankins also flashed a changeup with some late depth. Hankins went on to strike out four over his 1â…” of work on the day.

Nate Hawton-Henley (2025 SS, Fairfax, VA) drives a ball the other way for an easy double to right field. Good stride and swing through the baseball to take it the other way and find the grass in right-center.

Ryan Mitchell (2025 SS, Germantown, TN, kept his weight back on a curveball and was able to drive it to deep center field for a standup double. Mitchell loaded up, did a good job keeping his weight back, and then exploded through the baseball. Mitchell drove in Hawton-Henley who doubled in the at-bat before.

Reilly Six (2025 3B, Niceville, FL) delivered a clean inning in relief where he missed bats and induced weak contact. He worked his fastball up into the low-80s, showing some cut glove-side. He flashed an 11-to-5 breaking ball that was more 12-to-6 at times with tightness and bite. Made quick work of the opposition in his inning of relief.

Brady Campbell(2025 OF, Phoenix, AZ) came in and threw a clean inning of relief, working up to 80 mph on a fastball that he commanded well and pounded the zone well. He made quick work of the opposition and etched a clean inning. He flashed a deep 12-to-6 curveball as well.

11-White vs. 19-Red Game Highlights

8/1/2021

Noah Franco (2025 OF, Downey, CA) is a very athletic 6-3/170 two-way player from California who took the mound this morning.  He worked mostly at 82-84 mph with a low effort delivery and a fast arm out front.  He also flashed nice action on his slider when he trusted it off his fingertips.

Zach Strickland (2025 3B, Arcadia, CA) is another California two-way standout who impressed on the mound today.  He topped out at 87 mph with a lightning quick arm action and really sync'd up his hips and his arm stroke well to provide the power from his 6-0/145 build.

Luke Beeler (2025 C, Jenks, OK) had maybe the two hardest contacts of the game, one a double to left centerfield and the other a solid single to centerfield.  The 6-0/185 catcher looks even stronger than listed and it really comes out in his swing.

Brevin Bezick (2024 LHP, Red Bank, NJ) had the hardest contact of the game if Beeler didn't, as the 6-1/185 left handed hitter drilled a double into the right field corner that got there quickly.

Walker Shaw (2024 RHP, Mansfield, TX) showed a nice feel for mixing three pitches, including a fastball up to 82 mph, a mid-60's curveball and a nice low 70's change up.  In fact, his off-speed pitches outshined his fastball in command and ability to generate outs.

Nikko Taylor (2025 SS, El Sobrante, CA) and Quentin Young (2025 SS, Camarillo, CA) were a dynamic duo up the middle for the Red Team, making multiple far ranging plays up the middle to turn potential hits into outs with their athleticism and range.

5-Navy vs. 17-Orange Game Highlights

8/1/2021

Vaughn Neckar (2025 3B, Murrieta, CA) had a huge game on both sides of the ball for the Orange Team.  The 6-3/200 two-way standout pitched mostly at 88-89 mph in his one inning of work before a long rain delay to go with a sharp 73 mph breaking ball.  But just to remind everyone that he is a primary third baseman, Neckar blasted a pair of doubles, one over the centerfielder's head with big carry and the other a shot up the left centerfield gap.  There is a strong physical and arm action/delivery resemblance to 2021 PG All-American and fellow Californian Jaden Noot.

Adrian Areizaga (2024 SS, Aguada, PR) also had a strong two-way game for the Orange Team.  He dropped the barrel on a low inside fastball his first time up for a triple off the left field wall, then followed up with a single to left field in his second at-bat.  He also threw a couple of innings on the mound, topping out at 83 mph from an athletic delivery.

Peter Visconti (2025 C, Gurnee, IL) showed his power with a big double over the centerfielder's head and also had a strong game behind the plate that included a perfect throw to second base to nail a runner.

William Brady Saxton (2025 OF, Brandon, MS) took some big hacks from the left side, one of which resulted in a line drive double down the left field line.

Eli Ramirez (2025 SS, Duncan, OK) is a talented two-way player with a compact 5-6/152 build and plenty of lower half strength.  He was up to 84 mph today and threw lots of fastball strikes.

Angel Pichardo (2025 OF, Thomasville, NC) had as loud of contact as any hitter in this game, as the left handed hitter lined a double to right centerfield  that really jumped hard off the bat and was only some elevation and back spin from being extra bases.

15-Maroon vs. 21-Steel Game Highlights

8/1/2021

Cam Caminiti (2025 OF, Scottsdale, AZ) showed some electric stuff from the left side with a fastball that topped out at 89 mph with a ton of life. Caminiti has a four pitch mix with a hard biting slider and feel to throw the changeup for strikes.

Braden Booth (2024 3B, Madison, AL) touched 87 mph and lived in the mid-80s throughout his outing. The fastball plays well and he'll also throw a two seamer, changeup, and slider.

Kevin Fajardo (2025 SS, Brentwood, NY) showed some feel for contact with two singles to each sides of the field. He uses the whole field with a clean swing and some two way upside.

Omar Serna (2025 C, Pearland, TX) crushed a missile double off the top of the wall in left field. Serna has big strength, catch and throw skills, and absolutely crushed his double.

Raul Martinez (2025 SS, Hockley, TX) got an elevated fastball and crushed a ball to right centerfield for a double. He has strong wrists and was able to drive through impact and create jump at the finish.

Sammy Diaz (2025 SS, New Castle, DE) collected two hits including a well-struck single back up the middle and another bloop single. He's got good feel for the barrel and is athletic too.

Green vs Gold game highlights

8/1/2021

Jackson Geiger (2025 C, Naples, FL) started the game as he typically does with a barrel to left field for a base knock. The next inning Geiger proceeded to throw a rocket down to third base for the third out, an impressive display of shifting his center of mass to the third base side and carry his momentum through the throw.

Carter Smith (2025 SS, Cape Coral, FL) led off for green and smoked a middle-middle fastball to left field for a single and proceeded to steal second base. Smith is an exciting combination of powerful tools and athleticism. He has really gotten on track with the bat this weekend as everything he hits seems to come off very hard.

Hogan Nelson (2025 OF, Fort Worth, TX) smoked a ball to the oppo gap for an extra base hit. Nelson strong wrists and was able to use them to impact the baseball and send it sailing in the outfield. His second at bat was even better as he got a pitch on the inner half and smoked it to deep left center for another double. Extremely impressive day at the plate for Nelson as he shows huge upside in the bat.

Logan Charboneau (2025 1B, East Haven, CT) showed his easy pop during bp on Friday and has continued doing what he does during the games so far and started off his Sunday with a hard hit single into left field. The power comes very easy for him as he stands at a strong 6-6 230 and he has a swing that stays in the zone long allowing him to make contact at an impressive rate.

Jacob Parker (2025 OF, Purvis, MS) left strong impressions with a well-commanded fastball at 82-83t 84. The mechanics are sound with Parker as he does a nice job riding through his back glute and down the mound under control. From there, he is able to release excellent rotational power which is where most of his velocity is created from. He throws his breaking ball in the upper-60s and likes to throw the pitch front door and get flinches from righthanded hitters.

8-Red vs. 12-Black Game Highlights

8/1/2021

Isander Martinez (2024 3B, Cayey, PR) stays on a changeup and drives it down the left-field line past the third baseman who made a diving attempt to knock the ball down. Martinez would advance all the way to third base on a ball that would roll all the way to the fence. Showed loud contact on his second at-bat, a ball blasted to deep left field that the outfielder made a good grab on.

Konnor Griffin (2025 OF, Florence, MS) delivered two solid innings in relief, striking out five of the six outs he recorded. He used a fastball that was 82-88 mph with good ride through the zone and also flashed two distinct breaking balls. He showed a bigger-breaking curveball and a tighter slider. Both had hitters guessing. Griffin missed bats and collected swings and misses. He was also 2-for-2 at the plate with a double on a shallow pop fly into right-center. Showing good hustle on the basepaths he was able to get to second and earn the double.

Riley Treadway (2204 RHP, Greenville, NC) delivered three quality innings where he surrendered just one hit and was able to log three punchouts. His fastball worked into the low-80s with some tailing action and life when it was thrown up in the zone. Treadway flashed a breaking ball that he landed for strikes during his outing. It had both 12-to-6 and 11-to-5 shape to it and was a pitch he used for success throughout the outing.

Quindon Wright (2024 OF, Albany, GA) worked his fastball into the low-80s with ride through the zone over an efficient outing. He also mixed in a changeup with late depth at 72 mph that helped him find success. He would deliver a clean inning of relief.

Malosi Mata’afa-Alferos (2025 SS, Ewa Beach, HI) was able to get his hands through the zone and connect with a pitch that he drove the other way. He would line it into left field and it ended up scooting down the line allowing him to reach second on an easy double.

Xavier Neyens (2025 C, Mount Vernon, WA) was dominant in relief over an inning of work. He worked 81-85 mph on his fastball that showed life through the zone. He attacked with the fastball up that collected swings and misses on the outing. The Oregon State commit also flashed a two-planed slider with some good bite to it.

15-Maroon vs. 16-Navy

7/31/2021

Billy Bosser Jr. (2024, Tarpon Springs, FL) threw 3.0 solid innings, striking out 6 in the process. Sat in the 80-84 range with the fastball and topped at 86. Tight breaking ball with downhill action at 66-69. He also went 1-for-2 at the plate with a roped single to left field.

Ridge Southerland (2025, Little Rock, AR) ran the fastball up to 85 and sat in the low-80s. Solid outing for him going 2 2/3 innings with 6 strikeouts. Big frame with some clean mechanics and a quick arm. Showed really good feel for the CH 75-78, along with a curveball in the upper-60s.

Trey Morris (2025, Fresno, CA) had a lights-out performance, striking out all 9 hitters he faced in his 3.0 innings of relief. He sat 83-85 with the fastball, topping at 86 and showed some effective arm-side run. Curveball had nice slurve action 68-70 and he showed really good feel for it in the zone and down in the dirt. Clean actions and really impressive command with both pitches.

Kayson Cunningham (2025, San Antonio, TX) had a perfect 3-for-3 day at the plate with two doubles and an RBI. Went the other way with his first double and scorched it to left field. Showed off the speed by stealing third immediately after. Adjusted well to left-on-left breaking ball and crushed it up the middle for his third hit. Impressive bat-speed and barrel control with a swing that plays well to all fields.

Camden Hodge (2025, Winder, GA) went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI. Absolutely smoked a ball to first base that took a funky hop and ended up as a double. Big, athletic frame with a smooth lefty swing and a quick bat that creates some impressively loud contact.

Dayson Griffis (2025, Baxley, GA) put together a really impressive at bat and battled off some tough pitches until he got something he could do damage to as he crushed the 11th pitch of the at bat into centerfield for a single. Carries a big, strong frame with good feel for the barrel.

Wilmer Martinez (2025, High Point, NC) went 1-for-3 at the plate with a double that was laced to the pull-side. Good feel for the barrel and stays inside the baseball well. Athletic build with some speed and twitch to his game.

Randy Ruiz (2026, Winter Garden, FL) had a solid day at the plate, going 1-for-3 with a deep double to left-center. Battled with two strikes and made some quality adjustments in the approach that allowed him to do some damage down in the count. Quick bat-speed and a strong frame that produces some solid pop.

11-White vs 12-Black Game Highlights

7/31/2021

Jackson Roper (2025 SS, Orange Park, FL) took an impressive at bat his first time up fitting off some tough fastballs in the zone until he got one he could handle. The at bat ended with a line shot to left field. He added a steel of second base to get himself in scoring position a few pitches later.

Vincent Decarlo (2025 C, Tampa, FL) had an impressive day behind the dish showing well receiving the baseball as well as moving around in the dirt to block baseballs. He put runners on notice when he nabbed a would eb base stealer in the top of the first with a 2.08 in game pop time. At the plate his swing showed quick hands with a direct path to the baseball that will impact the ball well to the pull side.

Andrew Karhoff (2025 RHP, Akron, OH) worked some stress-free innings as the big right-hander ran his fastball up to 85 mph. He does a nice job repeating his delivery as the breaking ball tunnel nicely off the heater coming from the same three-quarters slot. The big fella gets down the mound well with an advanced feel for using the lower half.

Slade Caldwell (2024 OF, Jonesboro, AR) got his day started with a base hit to right field. The Ole Miss commit has some of the best hit ability in the country and it shows each time he comes to the plate. In his next at bat he would get a fastball on the outer half and lace a ball the other way out to left showing his ability to use the whole field.

Xavier Neyens (2025 C, Mount Vernon, WA) was solid behind the plate with good hands and a solid game plan when calling pitches. His large frame presence a good target to throw to as he can manipulate pitches around the plate to make the zone bigger. At the dish the left-handed swing shows good barrel control with bat speed allowing him to get the barrel to a lot of baseballs.

Marshall Louque (2025 SS, Lutcher, LA) ran the fastball up to 84 mph in his outing today as he worked tow rather uneventful innings closing out the second inning with a well-located elevated fastball after showing feel for a changeup and curveball as well. He also showed some tow way potential with his abilities at the plate hitting a ball hard on a line in his first at bat.

7-Purple vs 8-Red Game Highlights

7/31/2021

Hunter McLemore (2024 RHP, Henderson, TN) came out and attacked the zone with advanced stuff, fastball at 80-84 mph with a changeup 72 mph that he was able to throw in many counts.

Jax Bishop (2025 RHP, Rome, GA)brought his best stuff with a fastball at 84-87 mph and an 11-5 breaking ball at 69 mph. The Tennessee commit showed willingness to throw the breaking ball in any count as he had solid feel for the offering. Hip to shoulder disassociation and advanced pec mobility are where the velocity is mostly generated from. When the fastball is located, it is a tough operation to crack. As he got deeper in his outing, he showed a BB with more vertical break and landed it for a strike just as consistently.

Tyler Johnson (2025 C, Wetumpka, AL) showed an impressive display of hitting on a difficult breaking ball away and took it in to the opposite field for a base hit. Second at bat was an even better result for Johnson with an excellent piece of hitting to right field again and hit extremely hard. Very good feel for the barrel and the ability to cover the entire plate.

Konnor Griffin (2025 OF, Florence, MS) had the at bat of the day working a battle with another impressive talent in Jax Bishop as he worked a 9-pitch at bat and drove a fastball off the outer half of the plate up the middle for a sharp line drive single. The plate coverage and ability to compete in at bats standout just as much as the generally advanced tools for Griffin. Griffin battled on another long at bat and chopped a ball to the left side that he used his advanced speed to leg out an infield single which was as impressive as anything else today.

Jackson Miller (2025 OF, Palm Beach, FL) has really stood out on the mound this summer but today he showed it off with an aggressive approach at the plate and the ability to get the foot down and drive the ball. Miller has plenty of strength combined by his usual quick twitch muscle.

Jack Brodeur (2025 RHP, Durham, NC) showed impressive command of the fastball to both sides of the plate, keeping hitters off balance with a tight sweeping slider at 67 mph while getting on hitters quick with a low-80s fastball. Brodeur does an exceptional job of loading a hinge into his back hip and exploding through the ground to create torque and drive to the plate. Brodeur is surely an arm to watch over the next few years as the present stuff and pitchability are already evident.

Malosi Mata’afa Alferos (2025, Ewa Beach, HI)  is a rangy shortstop who boasts plenty of athleticism for the position with the ability to fire the ball across the infield. Alferos also has a solid ability to put the ball in play and make things happen with his speed on the basepath.

15-Maroon vs. 16-Navy Game Highlights

Kayson Cunningham (2025 SS, San Antonio, TX) had a dominant offensive game, as the left handed hitter picked up two singles and a hustle double, then completely disrupted the defense with his speed and aggressiveness once he had reached base with multiple stolen bases.

Camden Hodge (2025 C, Winder, GA) almost undressed the first baseman with a hard double down the right field line to highlight his bat speed and strength.  He also showed a smooth and quick release on his throws behind the plate.

The Navy team had plenty of other hard hits in addition to Cunningham and Hodge.  Wilmer Martinez (2025 SS, High Point, NC) lined a double into the left field corner.  Randy Ruiz (2026 OF, Winter Garden, FL) hit the longest ball of the day, launching a double to deepest left centerfield.  Dayson Griffis (2025 3B, Baxley, GA) lined a single up the middle that registered 90 mph off the barrel.

Billy Bosser Jr. (2024 RHP, Tarpon Springs, FL) has a lightning quick right arm that he really leverages hard with his hips and lower half.  He topped out at 86 mph from a nice under control delivery and also threw an upper 60's curveball with tight hard spin.

Trey Morris (2025 LHP, Fresno, CA) was masterful during his 3 innings of work, almost picking up an immaculate inning in the first inning and bumping his fastball up to 86 consistently during his third inning of work.  He showed outstanding fastball command to go along with some feel for his breaking ball.

Grayson Gibson (2025 LHP, Tampa, FL) throws from a mid to low 3/4's arm slot that gives him big angle to the plate.  He sat at the bottom of the strike zone with a 79-82 mph fastball with nice running life.  Almost as impressively, his 72-74 mph slider and 72 mph change up where quality secondary pitches, especially his change up, which he delivered with full arm/hand speed.

Matthew VanOstenbridge (2024 LHP, Sinking Spring, PA) is going to get lots of outs and win lots of games during his baseball career.  He worked in the upper 70's with his fastball but never threw 2 pitches the same back to back, tossing in a big breaking curveball and fading change up at any count and consistently freezing hitters looking for a different pitch.

Noah Sheffield (2024 SS, Tampa, FL) has some of the best bat speed at the event and he showed it with a crushed line drive that the left fielder made a diving catch on.  Sheffield also made a nice diving play at second base.

Jack Lafflam (2025 RHP, Scottsdale, AZ) is a long and very lean 6-4/150 right hander who a fast arm that produced a fastball up to 84 mph to go with a full four-pitch mix.  It will be fun to watch him develop over the next few years.

Braden Booth (2024 3B, Madison, AL) didn't have any hits to show for his work on the day but had a couple of quality at-bats, one of which ended up with a deep fly to left field when he did a nice job of getting his barrel up to a high fastball, the other when he drove a hard grounder right at the third baseman.

3-Green vs. 4-Maroon Game Highlights

7/31/2021

Tyler Baird (2025 RHP, Cornelius, NC) had a nice game on both sides of the ball.  He worked 78-80 for the most part on the mound to go with an upper 60's slider that showed some sharpness at times and threw strikes with both pitches.  At the plate, he squared up the ball twice, once a solid single to left field and the other on a rope to centerfield that was run down,.

David Gibbs (2024 LHP, Indio, CA) has a very deceptive delivery with a compact arm action that makes him look like he's throwing straight out of his jersey.  He topped out at 80 mph with nice fastball life to go with a curveball and change up.

Myles Mayse (2025 C, Midlothian, TX) is a big and strong catcher who has a strong arm behind the plate, frames the ball nicely receiving and showed he could impact the ball on a hard hit line out to right field.  He also filled up the strike zone for one inning with a fastball that topped out at 82 mph.

David Shields (2025 LHP, Pittsburgh, PA) was dominant on the mound for his three innings, as the smooth throwing strike machine worked in the 80-83 mph range to go with a tight slider that topped out at 72.  He dotted his fastball to both sides of the plate and got occasional big tilt from his slider.

Paul Toovalian (2025 RHP, White Lake, MI) has a quick arm and a high velocity fastball that topped out at 84 mph with big running action at times.  A key to his development will be learning to repeat his delivery on his secondary pitches, both of which flashed quality out of the strike zone.

Mana Nicholas-Bublick (2024 RHP, Toledo, OH) has a big 6-3/187 build and a fast and loose arm from a high 3/4's arm slot that creates big downhill angle.  He worked up to 81 mph on his fastball, with plenty more to come, and showed very nice tight spin and downer depth to a 66 mph curveball.

Mason Pike (2025 SS, Puyallup, WA) shows bat speed from both sides of the plate to go with lots athleticism working through the ball in the middle of the infield.  He's already an Oregon State commit.

Matt Luigs (2025 2B, Marietta, GA) squared up the ball hard twice while showing plenty of right handed bat speed, picking up a single to left field along with a scorched line drive right at the second baseman.  He also made a nice sliding catch in right field.

21-Steel vs. 22-White Game Highlights

7/31/2021

Rivers Kurland (2025, LHP, Tampa, FL) delivered three innings of work while working his fastball 81-84 mph. The fastball had some late arm-side run too it and paired well with a 1-to-7 breaking ball that was up to 74 mph. Kurland would collect two punchouts and was pretty efficient overall.

Cam Caminiti (2025, OF, Scottsdale, AZ) showed a nice piece of hitting on a fastball on the outer third that he lined the other way for an easy single. A nice job keeping the hands back and driving the ball the other way for an easy single.

Wesley Bass (2025, OF, Marietta, GA) got a small rally started after he lined a double into left field after staying through a fastball. Good stride through the ball.

Kelvyn Paulino Jr. (2025, 3B, Thomasville, NC) mashed a baseball to deep left-center that carried quite well. Good job lifting the baseball to score Bass who doubled on the previous pitch. The two traded places on Paulino Jr.’s long double.

Defensively he played a solid short stop with clean action making athletic plays in multiple directions.

Tanner Thomas (2025 RHP, Arcola, IL) doubled down the line with the barrel getting out front on an inner half fastball tucking it just inside the third base bag. He followed that up with a stolen base showing off his base running ability with a good jump to swipe the bag. He has shown the ability to handle fastball and takes an aggressive approach hunting them early.

Ryan Mitchell (2025 SS, Germantown, TN) showed solid defensive action up the middle making all the plays at short and second. In the third inning he laid out on a line drive in the hole making a spectacular catch to save a run and end the inning. He would later add a roped single to the right center as he dropped the head on a fastball at the bottom of the zone.

5-Navy vs 6-Orange game highlights

7/31/2021

Daniel Giuliani (2025 RHP, Trinity, FL) is a big, physical athlete who attacks with his FB mostly to the glove side and throws BB to front door righties. When direction is on-line and efficient the fastball and breaking ball combo is really deadly. Tends to lose control of BB when not synced up or directional. Low-to-mid 80s FB up to 87 and slider with horizontal movement at 69. Slider is at its best when not rushing center of gravity down the mound and thrown with intent.

Nolan Traeger (2024 C, Spring, TX) is an impressive athlete behind the plate and shows sub-2.0 pop times. Blocked several balls in the dirt with runners on base. Shows controlled aggression at the dish as his plate discipline as well as plate coverage stood out. Smoked a ball to the left side of the infield right at the 3B in last at.

Noah Gyauch-Quirk (2024 RHP, Bethlehem, PA) has a that FB that plays up and hitters had a difficult time getting on the pitch. Slider plays mostly horizontally but has very quick spin and is very quick and difficult to pick up on release. Has more tempo to be utilized to the delivery as well. Good separation (hip-shoulder) where velo is created from. Utilized arm-side sink especially against lefties.

Brady Thompson (2025 LHP, Newark, DE) is a lhp with a bit of deception to a stiffer arm action. Creates difficult over the top angles for hitters with natural fade to his arm side. BB works best when he throws it with intent and pulls down on it rather than throwing it side to side. 79-81 mph and 65-67 on BB.

Zahir Barjam (2025 SS, Miami, FL) is smooth and has quick actions at SS. Takes his time and sets up direction with his feet well and uses an advanced arm across the infield well. Really nice piece of hitting to go down and drive a base knock to center field on a low fastball. Stole third base with ease. Plays a very mature and sound brand of baseball. Third at bat took an elevated fastball down the left field line for a double. Recognizes pitches and locations well and does damage.

Isaac Ahokovi (2024 C, Kailua, HI) showed a good piece of hitting on a middle-away fastball. One of the quickest and most athletic catchers at the event. Hit tool will be one to watch. Was able to get on-time and on the barrel with velocity. Impressive with extremely quick feet behind the dish.

Eli Ramirez (2025 SS, Duncan, OK) went up and got a high fastball and drove it deep over the left fielders head for a stand up double. Athleticism is the calling card but has impressed with sneaky juice in the bat. Showed some solid defensive actions to add to his day.

Emmanuel "Manny" Lantigua (2025, Boca Raton, FL) has a clean and short AA; works smoothly with little interruption to mechanics; 82-85 mph fastball, slider is really sharp and deceptive at 76 mph, ultra-impressive operation and filled up the zone. Great showing from Antigua, left very strong impressions.

Barrett McKenney (2025, SS, Magee, MS) is another hitter who was able to do a job at the plate. He would drive a change-up to left-field for an easy double. Kennith Dalton Jackson (2025, 1B, Florala, FL) stays on time for a changeup to do a job and drive in a run. Delivers a good line-drive swing that drove the ball to left-center for the easy single. Throwing from a three-quarters arm slot, he worked down in the zone and was also not afraid to elevate and work the fastball up that touched 87 mph. He flashed a deep 1-to-7 breaking ball that helped induce swings and misses. He would punch out seven hitters while not allowing a baserunner.

Thomas Stewart (2025, RHP, Lakewood, CO) delivered three quality innings in relief while being efficient throughout. He worked his fastball 82-84 mph and flashed a deep 12-to-6 breaking ball that was tight and had good bite. He located well and was able to hit spots. Stewart missed barrels and collected two punchouts while not allowing a hit.

Tyler Holman (2024, RHP, Lake Saint Louis, MO) would throw three innings, allowing just one hit and punching out three opposing hitters. He was efficient through his first, inducing weak contact and locating his fastball which was up to 83 mph. He also showed a 12-to-6 breaking ball and flashed a few changeups. 7/30/2021

Malosi Mata'afa-Alfero (2025 SS, Ewa Beach, HI) has a projectable swing that will only get better as he gets older. The bat path is smooth and level through the zone with good feel for the barrel as he sprays line drives around the field.

John Davis (2025 OF, Tifton, GA) hammered some baseball to the pull side with good use of the lower half. The left-handed swing has good leverage at the point of contact creating plus back spin and carry when on time.

Konnor Griffin (2025 OF, Florence, MS) has very mature bat speed for the age with a lightning quick bat. The power upside is obvious as he showed the ability to drive the baseball when he gets extension out front.

Sean Gamble (2025 SS, Des Moines, IA) was consistent with his barrel control as he laced baseballs to the pull side. The bat path is fluid with present loft as he can create carry with back spin to the pull side gap.

Tucker Holton (2025 OF, Hoschton, GA) got the barrel to all parts of the zone, hitting the baseball hard to all parts of the field. The barrel control was impressive with quicker hands getting the bat head out front to hit line drives.

Barrett McKenney (2025 SS, Magee, MS) drove the baseball deep to the pull side with strong hands and good use of the lower half. The bat speed will project nicely as he continues to add strength to the frame.

Ed Small (2025 OF, Austin, TX) took some strong swings in his round hitting baseballs high off the wall in left field. The right-handed swing has big power upside as the strength at the point of contact shows up consistently.

Jin Kasuya (2025 SS, Lawrenceville, GA) has quick hands that work to the inside part of the baseball with good barrel feel. He gets the lower half involved in the swing well with a good weight shift into contact.

Xavier Rivera (2024 C, Cayey, PR) had some loud barrels throughout his round including some balls high off the monster in left field. He creates good leverage from the ground up getting the lower half involved early in the process.

Riley Williams (2024 OF, Greenville, NC) lived in the middle of the field with his round hitting baseballs hard on a line. The left-handed swing works fluid through the zone with good barrel feel staying on a line throughout the round.

Noah Solano (2025 SS, Chula Vista, CA) has a sweet swing that tacks well through the zone, on plane with the baseball hitting hard line drives to all parts. His quick hands will project well moving forward as he will be able add weight to the frame.

Luke Pappano (2025 LHP, Cincinnati, OH) gets through contact well with a quick flip of the hips. The use of the lower half supplies the majority of the power as he impacted the baseball to the pull side gap at his best.

Slade Caldwell (2024 OF, Jonesboro, AR) worked on a line to all parts of the field using the middle at his best with controlled bat speed. The wrists are loose at the point of contact supplying some whip to the swing and helping to create some carry to the baseball.

Jace Kohler (2024 SS, Clearwater, FL) displayed a projectable swing with good intent from the right side of the plate. The hands get through the zone quick supplying the jump off of the barrel when he gets it out front.

Luke Keefer (2024 SS, North East, MD) was on plane early finding a lot of barrel in his round. The hands get to a good position in the slot allowing the barrel to get on plane early and find the inside part of the ball consistently.

Ethan Adams (2025 OF, Parker, CO) hits some off the wall in left as he showcased some of the pop in his right-handed swing. The hands are strong at the point of contact providing good punch out front.

Ian Draper (2025 SS, Puyallup, WA) has long limbs with good separation pre-swing. The length plays well in his extension through the ball as he was able to consistently hammer baseballs to the middle of the field on a line.

Yvan Douglas (2024 C, Tampa, FL) uses his legs well to create power froth ground up as his lower half already shows some solid physical presence to it. The ability to find the barrel only adds to the intrigue as he swings with good intent.
