High School Top 50: 11-20

Preseason Top 50 Countdown: 41-50 | 31-40 | 21-30

11. Dripping Springs (Dripping Springs, Tx.)

2024 Record:
25-11
Head Coach: Chris Payne

Notable Prospect(s): RHP Cooper Rummel (Texas), OF Taylor Tracey (Tennessee), 3B Tristan Ciechanowicz, MIF Dominic Hurley, SS Conner Helms

Dripping Springs comes into the 2025 season with higher expectations than any other season in recent memory as they have two PG All-Americans rostered for 2025. Cooper Rummel provides some high-octane stuff on the mound, giving them the ultimate weapon as their #1 starter. Taylor Tracey is their second PG All-American and brings dynamic athleticism to the middle of the order. They round out the roster with three other seniors in Tristan Ciechanowicz, Dominic Hurley, and Connor Helms. It’s a strong upperclass group mixed in with some younger players that are going to try to make a big impact early on in their high school careers. Having two PG All-Americans is something that only a few teams in the country can claim, giving them as good of a chance at winning a state title as they’ve had in quite a few years.

12. Catholic (Baton Rouge, La.)

2024 Record: 38-2
Head Coach: Brad Bass

Notable Prospect(s): SS Jack Ruckert (LSU), C Andrew Clapinski, OF Noah Lewis (ULL), OF Harrison Kidder, LHP Lucas Lawrence

Catholic is coming off an incredible year and were in the discussion for our National Champs in 2024. There are some critical pieces from last year’s team that will have to be replaced but they’re still a well-rounded group with firepower on the offensive side. Leading the Bears into 2025 is LSU signee Jack Ruckert, who’s one of the top players in the entire country in 2025. They also bring back catcher Andrew Clapinski and Noah Lewis along with sophomore Harrison Kidder also returning. Junior left-hander Lucas Lawrence will step into a bigger role in 2025 on the mound and bring quality stuff with him. This is one of the perineal powerhouses in the country and it’s easy to continue to bet on them to be dominant year in and year out even while replacing incredible talent from their 2024 team.

13. Valley Christian Schools (San Jose, Calif.)

2024 Record:
27-6
Head Coach: John Diatte

Notable Prospect(s): OF Brock Ketelsen (Stanford), RHP Rohan Kasanagottu (USC), OF Hunter Kenji Fujimoto (Santa Clara), C Jordan Ortiz (Loyola Marymount), LHP Quinten Marsh (Stanford), RHP Kole Laubach (UCSB), RHP Forest Zelmer (Cal State Northridge), RHP Alexander Kim, SS Antonio Chavez, C Logan Mull

Valley Christian Schools comes into the year as our top ranked team in Northern California and for good reason whenever you look at the roster. Everything will start with two-way player and PG All-American Brock Ketelsen. They have as strong of a staff as any with Ketelsen, Rohan Kasangottu, Quinten Marsh, Kole Laubech, Forest Zelmer, and Alexander Kim, giving them immense depth with quality stuff. They also bring back a pair of experienced bats in Hunter Kenji Fujimoto and Jordan Ortiz along with a pair of nationally ranked sophomores in Antonio Chavez and Logan Mull. There’s a great mix of veteran leaders and top-end talent all over this roster and it’s shaping up to be another great year in San Jose.

14. Southlake Carroll (Southlake, Tx.)

2024 Record:
26-13
Head Coach: Larry Vucan

Notable Prospect(s): RHP Ethan Baiotto (Tennessee), 3B Tanner Carson (McLennan CC), SS Davis Perkins, LHP Jack Fuller, 3B Evan Robson (NYU), RHP Max Wu (Yale)

It’s now been a few years since Southlake Carroll won their last championship but with the talent they have coming back, they have a solid chance of doing so again. The roster in 2025 is riddled with seniors with immense talent. Headlining the group is Tennessee signee and right-hander Ethan Baiotto. The rotation is rounded out by seniors Jack Fuller and Max Wu and the seniors don’t stop there as they have a strong core of offensive players in their last year in Tanner Carson, Davis Perkins, and Evan Robson. This is another program that just wins and it wouldn’t shock anyone if they rattle off another year like 2022.

15. Poly Prep Country Day (Brooklyn, N.Y.)

2024 Record:
14-6
Head Coach: Matt Roventini

Notable Prospect(s): RHP Miguel Sime Jr (LSU), RHP Justice de Jong (Duke), C Owen ten Oever (Indiana), SS Mateo Noto (Indiana), OF Jack Roventini (Villanova), RHP David Hinojosa (Vanderbilt)

Poly Prep Country Day comes into the year with sky high expectations as they’re looking to capture their 12th NYSAIS championship in 2025. It’s one of the more star-studded rosters in the region, led by two top-100 talents in the 2025 class in PG All-American Miguel Sime Jr and Duke signee Justice de Jong. The talent doesn’t stop there in this senior class as they also have a pair of Indiana commits in Owen ten Oever and Mateo Noto as well as Jack Roventini who’s signed with Villanova. Vanderbilt commit David Hinojosa comes into the year with big stuff and gives them quite the rotation heading into the year. There’s all kinds of reasons to be excited about this spring in Brooklyn and it makes sense why they’re our top team in the region heading into the 2025 campaign.

16. Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, N.C.)

2024 Record:
23-7
Head Coach: Maurice Blakeney

Notable Prospect(s): RHP Sam Cozart (Texas), RHP Josh Hammond (Wake Forest), OF Domaine Vann (Miami), 3B Nick Papciak (Wingate), C Cole Bowman

Wesleyan Christian Academy was one of the higher ranked teams a season ago and bring back three of their top players from a year ago. With any team, they’ll have to replace production but this team looks set up nicely to repeat what they did last year. They have one of the better one-two punches on the mound in the country in Texas signee Sam Cozart and Wake Forest signee Josh Hammond. Cozart has been into the mid-90s and Hammond comes into the spring as one of the better two-way prospects in the 2025 class. They also return Miami commit Domaine Vann and Nick Papciak from a year ago as well as sophomore Cole Bowman looking to make a major impact in his second year. We’ll get an early look at them at the HS Showdown and they look to be set up nicely to win their second state title in three years.

17. Orange Lutheran (Orange, Calif.)

2024 Record:
28-7
Head Coach: RJ Farrell

Notable Prospect(s): OF Josiah Hartshorn (Texas A&M), RHP Colt Peterson (Stanford), 1B Noah Haros, SS Wyatt Hanoian (Air Force), C Brady Murrietta (Texas), RHP Gary Morse (Tennessee), SS Gavin Hottle (TCU), OF Hamilton Friedberg (Air Force), OF Rock Akahi, OF Tristan Ramos (Long Beach State), 2B Justin Lopez, RHP Jaeden Estevez, RHP Blake Killinger, SS Jordan Kurz 1B Scott Fritz, 1B Zach Estrada, RHP Ethan Torress, OF Angel Gonzalez

Orange Lutheran was a mainstay in the top-10 a season ago and even after losing one of the stronger senior groups in Southern California from a season ago, they’re set up to put together another strong year. PG All-American and Texas A&M signee Josiah Hartshorn returns for his senior year alongside right-hander and Stanford signee Colt Peterson. There’s plenty of reasons to be excited about the coming years as well as they have four of the top ranked players in the 2026 class in Brady Murrietta, Gary Morse, Gavin Hottle, and Hamilton Friedberg. This has a chance to be yet another strong season for the Lancers and they look more than set up for future seasons as well.

18. Basic (Henderson, Nev.)

2024 Record:
20-8
Head Coach: Gino DiMaria

Notable Prospect(s): SS Tate Southisene (USC), C Kealiikoa Won (Hawaii), SS Matthew Kelley (Miami), OF Andruw Giles (Oregon), OF Troy Southisene (USC), 2B Lyndon Lee

Basic comes into the 2025 season with a significant amount of buzz around the program and it’s easy to see why with just one glance at their roster. The roster is headlined by PG All-American and top-20 player in the 2025 class in Tate Southisene. Kealiikoa Won is another returning senior that’ll make a big impact on the offensive output throughout the spring. It’s one of the stronger junior groups in the country as they have Miami commit Matthew Kelley, Oregon commit Andruw Giles, and USC commit Troy Southisene. It’s an exciting time around the Basic program and it’s another program that’s churned out wins recently and they’re looking to do the same in 2025.

19. Doral Academy (Doral, Fla.)

2024 Record: 24-4
Head Coach: Ralph Suarez

Notable Prospect(s): RHP Marcelo Rodriguez (Arizona State), 3B Gabriel Milano (Miami), OF Jadyn Nunez (North Carolina), SS Dylan Prince (Bryant), OF Leandro Hernandez, OF George Prado, RHP Aaron Elissalt, SS Kobe Carrion, OF Bryan Ravelo (LSU), OF Gavin Ruvalcaba, SS Bryan Mesa, SS Caleb Hernandez

Doral Academy won their first state championship in program history in 2022 and they’re looking to return to the mountain top after getting beat in the state semifinals a season ago. They return one of the stronger senior classes in the state, headlined by three P4 commits in right-hander Marcelo Rodriguez, third baseman Gabriel Milano, and outfielder Jadyn Nunez. They also return Bryant commit Dylan Prince and a pair of JUCO commits in George Pardo and Aaron Elissalt. They also have some of the highly regarded talents in the younger classes in Bryan Mesa, Bryan Ravelo, Caleb Hernandez, and Gavin Ruvalcaba, all looking to make impacts early in the high school career. They bring back an immensely talented roster that’s looking to make it two state titles in three years.

20. Jackson Prep (Jackson, Miss.)

2024 Record:
39-4
Head Coach: Brent Heavener

Notable Prospect(s): OF Kevin Roberts Jr, 3B Trey Bryant (Arizona State), OF Cole Gideon, LHP Gardner Young

Jackson Prep is a household name when it comes to high school baseball and they once again find themselves grouped with the best teams in the entire nation. They’ll have to replace the dynamic athleticism and monster season a year ago from first-round pick Konnor Griffin but once again they’re set up to win their 8th straight state championship. Offensively, they bring back a top-10 talent in the 2026 class in Kevin Roberts and return seniors Tre Bryant and Cole Gideon from their offense a year ago while Gardner Young provides good stuff and a veteran presence on the mound to lead the staff. They’re once again in position to put together a strong year and look to continue their historic run of state titles.

Most Likely To Make a Huge Jump in the Rankings in 2026 RJ Shields (2027, Venice, Fl.) Shields took some significant strides throughout 2025, especially on the mound. The fastball reached 95 mph in recent months and he projects well with great athleticism and a sharp breaking ball. Shields is also a left-handed bat with good thump in the stick. The Mississippi State commit shot up the rankings following a loud fall and looks poised to continue to climb. -KP High speed BP swing from '27 OF Gavin Ruvalcaba (FL)... #JrNational @Florida_PG https://t.co/OwU9I0u6eY pic.twitter.com/gjYZbmCPGE — PG Showcases (@PGShowcases) June 12, 2025 Gavin Ruvalcaba (2027, Hialeah, Fl.) He handles high-level pitching extremely well, commands his staff and his offensive prowess makes him a true two-way asset. 1B: Cooper Knight (Buda, TX) Knight is a smooth operator at first base with plenty of range, fluidity and agility in his footwork around the bag. Best Game I Saw: The Dream NTL 18U vs. MBA Scout Team Murphy Jupiter always brings out the best, and we got fireworks from the jump. Turner Marshall gave The Dream an outstanding 4+ innings of work on the mound, holding a lethal MBA team at bay with Chance Dixon, Derrick Carter, and Ellis Appling providing an offensive spark out of the gate for the Georgia based boys. However, it was only a matter of time before the talent on the other side got going, as MBA erased a 3-run deficit in the 5th to take a 4-3 lead led by a Parker Loew HR. The Dream then took command again in the Top of the 6th, before MBA punched right back with a huge 5-run inning in the bottom half capped off by a clutch RBI single from Matthew Kerrigan, ending a wild sequence with tons of notable performances from two very competitive rosters. Nebraska Cornhuskers 2025 Highlights: The Cornhuskers were a difficult team to figure in ’25 as they finished with 33 wins, played just .500 (15-15) in the Big Ten but had some big wins at various times during the season and got hot at the right time. They knocked off then #16 Vanderbilt in the second game of the year, beat #5 Oregon State 2-out-of-3 at home in late March and then got hot at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha to win the Big Ten Tournament. They beat Michigan State in a 10-inning thriller before taking care of #4 Oregon, knocking off Penn State and then shutout #13 UCLA to punch their ticket to the Chapel Hill Regional. Head coach Will Bolt has now led his alma mater to three conference titles and three NCAA Regional appearances during his six years in Lincoln. No different than when he was a player, Bolt’s teams play with passion and toughness, this was never more...

Finest in the Field: Class of 2026 | Class of 2027 You like athletes? You like defenders who can impact a game at any given point? Look not further than this class as it's loaded from coast-to-coast with elite defenders all over the diamond.  C: Brogan Witcher, Bakersfield, CA Our scouting staff got several strong looks at Witcher whether that was at the Summer Kickoff, Sophomore National or the Underclass All American Games where he showcased his strong overall skillset and especially his advanced ability behind the plate. His 6-foot-3,180 pound build looks like one that will fill in quite nicely and be that big and physical catcher’s frame. His arm talent is undeniable where he gets it out quick and runs it up to 79 mph on throwdowns to 2nd (1.84 pop). Besides the standout catch/throw ability, we’ve seen him frame/receive strong arms and block it well during...

BURLINGTON, IA - 2025 Perfect Game Softball Toys 4 Tots Fundraiser One Day, December 7, 2025. Kicking off the holiday season, six teams participated in this one day, 3 game guarantee tournament in the 18u Division. We would like to thank those that donated a toy, and know that they will be distributed to area underprivileged children through a local charity organization. Following are some of the top performers from the weekend. Earning Tournament MV-Pitcher was Jolee Strohmeyer (2026 Dubuque, IA), a RHP/UTIL with tournament champion Lady Expos Blue. Strohmeyer shows hitters a consistent and repeatable motion and delivery with good use of the legs in the drive phase, and a quick and aggressive arm whip. Working with a six pitch mix of fastball, change-up, rise, drop, curve and screw, Strohmeyer topped out at 60 mph, and showed good movement  as she worked her rise and curve just out...

The game was an efficiently played affair with arms dominating on both sides. Graham Schlicht was masterful for Alpha, striking out 12 hitters over 5 dominant innings. PG All-American Julian Cazares came out of the pen blowing smoke, touching 97 mph with the fastball. On the other side, Jake Carbaugh surrendered just one hit and...

Finest in the Field: Class of 2026 Elite defenders from coast to coast certainly seems to be a strength and to think you could make another top-tier team without thinking, speaks to the real depth this group possesses. The infield is a no-doubt strength of the group, but what catcher Dariel Carrion can do behind the plate is like something we haven't seen in a while in the prep ranks with an absolutely bazooka of an arm.  C: Dariel Carrion (San Juan, PR)  It isn’t often you get a catching prospect as athletic and natural as Dariel Carrion, a big reason why he holds the rank of #1 player in PR and #18 nationally. Metrics wise, the 5-foot-10, 210 pound San Juan native is all you can ask for and more, posting a sub 1.80 pop time with an 84 mph arm behind the dish. He has both contact and clear power threat on the offensive end, ending 2025 with a .337 BA and 4 HRs while also...

The Class of 2026 is one of the deeper prep classes that we have seen in a couple of years. With that being said, there is plenty of talent on the defensive side. Let’s take a look at some of the best defenders in the class.  C: Will Brick, Christian Brothers HS (Memphis, TN) Brick is a newcomer to the class after reclassifying, but immediately became the top backstop. Extremely advanced actions are shown behind the dish with impressive athleticism to go with it. Brick showcases big time arm strength and is consistently accurate on throw downs. He can make playing the position look extremely easy at times. Brick possesses all the defensive tools needed to be a premier catcher.  1B: AJ Curry, University City HS (San Diego, CA) Curry has a bigger and stronger frame with good strength throughout.
