National High School Player of the Year | Maxwell Clark, Franklin Community (IN)

It’s no surprise really that Clark was in the discussion for National Player of the Year given he’s put up some of the country’s best numbers for years now and he’s nearly a lock to go in the first handful of picks in this year’s draft. His senior campaign, he was pitched around, tallying 52 walks across just 29 games, but when he wasn’t he did damage. He hit .646 on the year, while hammering six home runs, driving in over 30 and reaching base at over an .800 clip, a ridiculous line in getting on base over eight out of every 10 times he stepped in the box. Add in that he only struck out five times in the entire season and played stellar on the other side of the ball, and you’ve got a deserving National Player of the Year that barely edged out Walker Martin.

National High School Pitcher of the Year | Christian Rodriguez, Stoneman Douglas (FL)

Rodriguez has had one of the more storied high school careers down in Florida at powerhouse Stoneman Douglas, having won three consecutive state titles over the last three years, which included a pair of National Championships. In his senior year, he led them on the mound to a perfect 29-0 finish, going 12-0 with a 0.69 ERA across 70 innings, striking out 117 and only walking 13 in all of that. He added some solid numbers with the bat as well, but it was his impact on the mound that was probably single most crucial piece to Stoneman Douglas’ perfect run, and second National Championship in just the last three years. If he doesn’t sign in this year’s MLB draft, he’ll head to Gainesville and look to contribute early on for the Gators.



National High School Two-Way Player of the Year | Bryce Eldridge, James Madison (VA)

Eldridge was a two-way hero for the 18U Team USA club this past year, and he took all of that skill on both sides of the ball and helped James Madison to a state title in a historic year. Seen likely as the top two-way talent in this year’s draft, Eldridge went 11-0 on the mound, keeping a 1.30 ERA across 53 innings on the spring, and striking out 88, while offensively he hit well over .400 and had nine home runs to go with 25 runs driven in. He’s a monster physically and he was every bit the catalyst for James Madison’s success this spring. Where he goes in the draft is yet to be determined, but wherever he ends up starting at the next level, he’s got skills both ways.

National High School Underclass Player of the Year | Cade Brown, Parkview (GA)

Brown has been a solid player for a few years now, but his game was taken to a new level over the course of the last year and he put that fully on display for Parkview this spring, one of the country’s top programs year in and year out. As just a junior, he hit in the heart of the order and finished the year with a .486 average and 14 home runs while driving in over 50 and scoring almost 50 times himself. In addition, he walked over 20 times, leading to a near .600 on-base percentage, and given the additions he’s had in terms of power and consistency, he’s got a real shot to surpass these numbers next spring and become one of the more followed hitters in the state, and country, from a draft perspective.

National High School Underclass Pitcher of the Year | Landon Victorian, Barbe (LA)

Victorian is no stranger to the spotlight as he’s one of the country’s top pitching prospects in the 2024 class, and he once again was a catalyst for Barbe’s historic season as they went 39-1 in route to another state championship and a #2 national ranking at the close of the year. On the year, he went 8-0 and had just a 0.97 ERA, throwing 50 innings and striking out 80, but maybe the most impressive stat is that he walked just FOUR guys over the course of those 50 innings, something you don’t see at any level, and especially so as just an underclassman pitching for one of the country’s top programs in a gauntlet of a schedule having played 40 games this year. He’ll once again be the ace for them next spring and will have a chance to establish himself as someone that could go in the first couple of rounds when we turn over to the 2024 draft cycle.

C | Luke Stevenson, Wake Forest (NC)
Stevenson had an outstanding year as a catalyst for one of North Carolina’s top programs, falling just short of a state title. He hit .512 with 11 doubles and 17 home runs, while his 37 walks was a lot and helped add to his .648 on-base percentage. He only struck out 10 times in 33 games and drove in 58 runs; he’s a big riser in the state and one of the more talented catchers in the country.

1B | Bryce Eldridge, James Madison (VA)

2B | Steven Milam, Centennial (NM)
Milam led the state of New Mexico in a bunch of categories; he hit .627 and had an OBP up near .750, while his 42 walks was a huge number to go with seven home runs, 50 RBI, 65 runs scored, 21 stolen bases and just eight strikeouts across over 30 games. He’s a very pure hitter and his hit tool is something that should certainly carry over as he heads to play at LSU at the college level.

SS | Walker Martin, Eaton (CO)
Martin had an unbelievable year offensively and would take home National Player of the Year honors in just about any other season. He helped lead Eaton to a perfect 29-0 record, and state title, while hitting .633 with a country-leading 20 home runs and a whopping 75 RBIs, scoring 64 times himself, and ended the year with a 2.355 OPS while striking out only six times in 29 games played. He’s flown up draft boards and could potentially be a first rounder next month.

3B | Trent Caraway, JSerra Catholic (CA)
Caraway had a phenomenal year for the state of California’s top program in 2023, helping them to a Southern Section Division I Championship. He broke the school’s previous single season hits record, which led him to a .462 average while tacking on 11 doubles and seven home runs, some of the better totals in the state as well. He’s climbed boards as well and could be a Day 1 guy.

OF | Drew Burress, Houston County (GA)
Burress is one of the more storied performers in terms of his amateur career to this point and his senior campaign was a big one, leading Houston Country to a state title in Georgia. He hit .430 with 13 home runs, as well as 17 doubles, and drove in 59 while scoring over 50 times himself. The offensive numbers are huge, and when necessary, he got on the mound and closed games out.

OF | Bristol Carter, Northwest Guilford (NC)
Carter had a strong year to close out his high school career and helped Northwest Guilford to a good finish. He hit .546, logging almost 60 hits on the season, and 25 went for extra-bases as he had nine home runs. In addition, he scored 60 times himself, and drove in over half that, while the OPS got up over 1.600 thanks to his additional 27 walks; he’s committed to East Carolina.

DH | Carson Rucker, Goodpasture Christian (TN)
Rucker is a plenty talented defensive prospect, but just fits into this spot because of his offensive numbers that were deserving of being first team. He just casually hit .500 across over 40 games, while slugging 18 home runs and 16 doubles, driving in 81 and scoring almost 60 times himself. He helped his team to a state runner-up finish and was just the offensive catalyst all spring long.

UT | Cooper Pratt, Magnolia Heights (MS)
Pratt was the leader on a Magnolia Heights team that won yet another state title and was one of the top teams in the country this year. Getting it done both ways, he was 10-0 on the mound with a miniscule 0.14 ERA, while offensively he hit .469 with four home runs, 50 runs driven in and 38 stolen bags. He’s one of the more talented guys in this year’s class and can really get it done on both sides of the ball.

 National Pitcher of the Year (See Above).

P | Tate McGuire, Liberty North (MO)
McGuire was the ace on a Liberty North team that had one of the best years in program history on their way to a state title and a Top 20 national ranking. On the mound, he went 11-0 with just a 0.23 ERA and struck out 109 across 59 innings against walking just 16 guys all spring long. He’s got big stuff and has a chance to be impactful pretty early on for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

P | Bryce Johnson, Eastlake (WA)
Johnson was excellent all spring long as Eastlake made their way to winning the state’s 4A title. He went 12-0 and had just a 0.37 ERA across 76 innings, and his 110 strikeouts to 13 walks was one of the better ratios in the entire country from this past springs. He’s headed to Oregon State.

P | Dylan Loy, Pigeon Forge (TN)
Loy has always been a guy that can really pitch and his numbers this year certainly speak to that. He went 11-1, posting one of the best ERAs in the entire country for his innings logged at just 0.10, while striking out a ridiculous 169 hitters in roughly 70 innings, and walking just 11 guys.

P | Noble Meyer, Jesuit (OR)
Meyer is widely regarded as the top high school right-hander in the country for this year’s draft and his numbers can certainly back that up when you pair them with the stuff. Although he fell short of capturing a title, he went 10-2 on the year with a 0.41 ERA and struck out 142 in just 69 innings pitched. He’s got a very real chance to go in the first 10 picks in next month’s draft.

Kai Anderson (2028, Missouri City, Texas) continued his breakout stretch over the past couple of weeks with 2028 South Texas Sliders 16U Pierce. Compiled a 7-15 week with two doubles, a triple, and two home runs, driving in nine runs. Parlayed that into winning Tournament MVP. Physical presence in the box that is starting to tap into a ton of juice offensively. Tight rotation on an uphill plane with loose actions in the barrel. Doing all of this with very little swing and miss while holding it down in center field. One of the louder stretches of the summer. As of Monday at 5 p.m. ET, the 2026 MLB Draft is officially complete. The signing deadline has passed, meaning we now know every team’s finalized draft class and exactly how much each player signed for. Entering the draft, it was clear there was a distinct top tier consisting of Roch Cholowsky, Grady Emerson, and Vahn Lackey. That separation became even more evident once contracts were signed. Cholowsky became the first player in draft history to sign for more than $10 million, agreeing to a record-setting $10,347,500 bonus with the White Sox. Emerson set a new high school signing bonus record at $9,747,500, the second-largest bonus ever awarded to a draft pick. Evan Brand (2027, Acworth, Ga.) has been solid at the plate all summer and did not slow down late in the summer. This week, Brand was able to hit just under the .700 mark and tallied three extra base hits, including a homer. The switch hitter has a fluid barrel path with plus feel for the barrel to all fields. The lower half also moves with some rhythm, and the switch hitting ability with the accuracy to the barrel provides plenty of intrigue. The middle infielder is committed to Georgia Tech.
