Tommy Roldan  LHP - 2023 - Poolesville, MD
Virginia

Roldan is a fascinating two-way prospect showing off impressive chops both on the mound and with the stick in the batter's box. Roldan worked his fastball up to 84 mph with excellent angle and life while mixing in a tight breaking slider that was a very effective offering; the swing produced some loud contact off the barrel head and he's a threat on both sides of the ball.

Nikolas Sanders  C - 2023 - Waco, TX
Texas

Sanders showed perhaps the best raw power out of any prospect in attendance this weekend, peppering balls high off the left field monster on JB1 during batting practice. The swing is simple with a lower hand set and he really drives the ball uphill while generating excellent carry off the barrel. Sanders is also an accomplished receiver but the offensive profile has the potential to be excellent.

Carl Schmidt  SS - 2023 - Petaluma, CA
Texas A&M

Schmidt is a fairly polished hitter and shows advanced tools in other aspects on the diamond as well to make for a fairly well-rounded profile. He's a well-built, physically projectable infielder with arm strength recorded up to 85 mph from both the outfield and infield. Offensively, he has a short, quick stroke that generates good bat speed and projectable raw power to the pull side.

Chris Smith  RHP - 2023 - Bartlett, TN
Uncommitted

Smith showed the top velocity of the event with a fastball that touched 89 mph during his stint on the mound. The arm stroke is short and quick on the mound and his lower arm slot generates some really heavy and sinking life on the fastball. There's legitimate upside as Smith continues to develop with three pitches including a biting curveball and a nasty split-change.

Cooper Strawn  RHP - 2023 - Farmersville, TX
Weatherford College

Righthanded pitcher Cooper Strawn showcased well during the event topping out 86 mph with an 11--to-5 breaking ball as well. His tall and athletic frame combined with a well-hidden ball through the back makes Strawn extremely effective as shown during the showcase. The arm action is loose and he commands the zone well with his two pitch combination.

Ethan Sutton  3B - 2023 - Acworth, GA
Georgia

There's plenty of room to project upon the long limbed Sutton, standing 6-2/170, but there's also lots of arm speed already as he topped out at 83 mph on the mound and 87 mph from the outfield. Along with the arm strength Sutton also shows quickness to his hands offensively, showing very nice carry off the barrel.

Zach Wadas  1B - 2023 - Phoenix, AZ
TCU

Zach Wadas displayed some eye-opening power during his round of batting practice. The primary first baseman has high impact strength to his pull side that he was able to showcase often during BP. His swing is compact with bat speed present and plenty of ability to turn the barrel over out in front.

TayShaun Walton  OF - 2023 - Emporia, VA
Miami

Walton showed perhaps the best bat speed and power potential out of anyone in the event with an extraordinarily loud round of batting practice on Saturday night. Walton has an excellent frame at 6-foot-2 and 205-pounds and recorded a sub-7.00 second 60-yard dash while throwing 84 mph from the outfield; the offensive upside is notable with excellent impact off the barrel shown by his best exit velocity of 99 mph.

Dean West  OF - 2023 - Woodland Hills, CA
UCLA

West is a twitchy outfielder who came out from California and his speed stood out right away as he posted a 6.78 60-yard dash. He uses that speed in the outfield with sound actions to the ball while displaying quickness to his hands from the left side of the plate, staying rather direct to the ball while exhibiting a handle for the barrel.

Lance Williams  RHP - 2023 - Shenandoah, VA
East Carolina

Williams is already committed to Virginia Tech and it was easy to see why the Hokies went after the young righthander. During his two innings on the mound Williams was able to run his fastball up to 87 mph but more impressive was his ability to change slots on all his offerings and vary his looks/tempo while filling the zone.

Jaxon Willits  SS - 2023 - Fort Cobb, OK
Oklahoma

Already committed to Oklahoma, Willits offers a strong frame and moves well in the infield dirt, fielding the ball out front with clean glove skills before showing a strong arm across. Taking reps from both sides offensively, Willits showed the best from the left side with a short, quick stroke through the zone while generating nice jump off the barrel.

Colton Wombles  C - 2023 - Phenix City, AL
Gulf Coast State College

Wombles is a well-rounded catcher who showed off excellent catch-and-throw skills with a best pop time of 1.84 seconds down to the bag. He gets rid of the ball very quickly and showed soft hands while he's a strong righthanded hitter too with a simple, strong approach in the batter's box resulting in some sneaky pull side power.

Hiro Wyatt  RHP - 2023 - Westport, CT
Southern California

The highly projectable Wyatt continued to show well as he has this summer, utilizing a whippy and loose arm action to run his fastball up to 85 mph with short sinking life through the zone. He did a nice job of working down in the zone with his fastball and replicated his arm speed and slot on both a tight slider and firm changeup.

2024 Top Prospects

Connor Crisp  RHP - 2024 - Locust Grove, GA
Georgia Southern

Connor Crisp is a compact framed righthander with plenty of projectable arm speed and present arm strength already. His fastball topped out at 84 mph from a high 3/4 arm slot and uptempo delivery. He threw lots of strikes in his outing with a two-seam fastball with lots of life as well as a feel for a changeup and slider that he pounded the strike zone with as well.

Miles Ghossein  SS - 2024 - Dallas, TX
Uncommitted

2024 graduate from California Miles Preston Ghossein may have been one of the younger players at the event, but that did not stop him from being one of the top players either. Ghossein has two way potential with a fastball that already touches 82 mph while his primary shortstop position is intriguing as well as he displayed a clean funnel and athleticism along with a loose, line drive swing at the plate.

Free Agents Top Prospects

Joaan De Jesus  SS - Free Agents - Santo Domingo, NC DOM

De Jesus just turned 14 years old though you wouldn't know it based on his actions either up the middle or his ability with the bat. From his footwork fluidity to the softness of his hands and overall balance, De Jesus's defensive actions were amongst the best while also showing fluidity to his righthanded swing with some present jump off the barrel.

Julio Henrique  IF - Free Agents - Santo Domingo, NC DOM

Henrique is a projectable infielder from the Dominican Republic whose tools carry way beyond his years. His mobility in the infield and clean transfers showcased well along with his arm that produced a best throw of 81 mph across the diamond. His righthanded swing projects well also with a downhill path to contact and plenty of balance to his stroke and line drive contact ability.

Nikau Pouaka-Grego  SS - Free Agents - Melbourne, VI AUS

Pouaka-Grego has an athletic and projectable frame, coming over from Australia to attend this past weekend, and showed out well as a nice, well-rounded prospect. Pouaka-Grego has a good arm, recorded up to 84 mph across, with good feel and actions at shortstop while the lefthanded swing is compact, repeatable, and very consistent as he worked liners to all parts of the field with intent.

Hector Osvaldo Santos Espinal  SS - Free Agents - Santo Domingo, SD DOM

One of the younger players at the event displayed all-around projectable talent with a loose barrel, bat speed and plenty of feel for the barrel already at 13 years of age. Espinal gets downhill with his path to contact using a high leg lift trigger to create advanced bat speed. On top of the impressive BP round, his infield round was impressive with clean actions, balance to his footwork and athleticism charging the baseball with accuracy from multiple arm slots.
