Brandon Olivera is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Barbara Goleman. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.21 60-yard dash. Right-handed pitcher, full hand path over head at start of delivery, clean rock step at start and loads onto back side well, drives down the mound with direction; loose and quick arm action through the back working to an over-the-top release point. Fastball topped out at 89 mph, running life to fastball and can get in on the hands, works fast and pounds the strike zone. Slider is a swing-and-miss type offering up to 79 mph with late bite. Maintains arm speed on changeup well and lands for strikes, up to 80 mph. Three pitches for strikes, maintained riding life on changeup and velocity projects moving forward. High hands and back elbow in the box, slightly open stance with a leg lift trigger, tends to hit against front side, uphill path through the zone. Good student. Verbal commitment to Miami.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
