Hector Osvaldo Santos Espinal is a 2024 SS/2B, 3B with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Santo Domingo, Sel who attends Cenapec. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, stronger frame with additional room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.96 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, light actions on feet, moves well to the ball with good angles to it, easy transfer and release with carry across the diamond, picks it well and repeats actions. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Short hand load at start of swing, some timing issues but shows the ability to lift and elevate to pull side. Strength in hands, shows power potential and projects well moving forward. Excellent student.
