Cam Collier is a 2023 3B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Austell, GA who attends Mt Paran Christian. Large, athletic frame with advanced physical strength proportioned well throughout frame, additional room to grow. Ran a 7.54 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, moves well on his feet and shows lightness to his footwork for size, fields the ball out front and funnels into a clean arm stroke, looseness through the back and shows solid arm strength across the diamond with accuracy on throws. Also pitched, short side step at start of delivery, tight take back with a full arm action working to a high three-quarters release; lower effort out of hand and works online down the mound while topped out at 84 mph. Fastball showed some sink to it down in the zone, repeats delivery and shows ability to land curveball for strikes with short 11-5 break in the zone. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box, shift weight well through lower half moving into contact. Fast hands and generates big bat speed through the zone, occasionally gets too inside the ball with hands but impacts the ball hard when squared and out front. Showed ability to adjust to off speed in live action, ball jumps to either gap, big power potential. Named to the 14u National Showcase Top Prospect List. Verbal commitment to Louisville. Selected for the 2019 PG Select Festival.
