Jack Parisi (2028 3B, Itasca, IL) showed some things to like on the bump today, running hisi fastball up to 75 mph from a deceptive slot. The right-hander has big movement to his fastball, as it really takes off to the arm side late. He will be very tough to hit as he develops more control over his fastball movement. He was not afraid to throw in on the hands of right-handed hitters, as he even broke an opposing players bat.
Gus Tahlier (2028 RHP, Elmhurst, IL) made one heck of a play in right field, as he threw a runner out at home plate. Tahlier fielded the ball cleanly and fired a strike that was right on the money, as he saved a run for his squad. Tyler Stith (2027 C, Wayne, IL) also made a great diving play at first base. Stith dove for a line drive at first base and caught it at full extension.
Carson Hamblin (2027 SS, Lake Zurich, IL) put a nice swing on one today, as he took an outside pitch the other way, driving it into left field for a double. The left-handed hitter has some strength to him, and he will be a tough out if can continue to barrel up that outside pitch consistently.
Sean Quigley (2027 3B, Cedar Lake, IN) showed a lot of promise on the mound in his one inning of work. The right-hander has a tall and slender frame with plenty of room to fill moving forward. His delivery is fairly low effort and there is some whip to the arm. He topped out at 77 mph and certainly has more in the tank as he continues to grow and get stronger.
Cayden Jackman (2028 1B, Kirkwood, MO) is another young prospect who showed intriguing potential on the bump. The left-hander has a long and lanky frame with a slight crossfire delivery, which leads to some natural cutting action on his fastball. His curveball might be his best pitch, as he could throw it for strikes and also as a swing and miss pitch below the knees.
Noah Rist (2027 3B, Altoona, IA) was seeing the ball well today, as he collected two solid barrels. His first hit came via a line drive single to right field, as he sat back on an outside pitch and took it the other way. His next hit was a missile down the left field line that would go for an RBI double.
Simon Rose (2027 SS, Highland Park, IL) impressed on both sides in this one, starting with a line drive double over the left-fielder's head. This ball was squared up, as he showed some looseness to the hands and feel for the barrel. He also made a great backhanded play at shortstop, as he fielded one deep in the hole and made a strong throw to first base to get the runner.
Dylan Williamson (2028 3B, Highwood, IL) is a strong and physical young player who has proven that he can hit the ball hard. There is plenty of power in the 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame. He found a loud barrel today, as he got on plane with a tough, high pitch and sent a screamer right back up the middle.
