2019 Top Prospects

Casey Ouellette  SS - 2019 - Pflugerville, TX
Louisiana Tech

Ouellette is a very projectable 6-2/170 athlete with plenty of quick twitch athleticism and two-way talent. He's a 6.88 runner with smooth defensive actions and a short and quick line drive swing that squared the ball up consistently in games. He was also up to 88 mph on the mound from a low effort delivery.

Ryan Curran  OF - 2019 - Albuquerque, NM
Coastal Carolina

Curran is a very talented overall athlete with tools across the board. He ran a 6.6 sixty and threw 90 mph from the outfield and 87 mph from the mound. He also had some of the best right handed bat speed at the event with gap to gap power and plenty of strength projection in his 6-1/165 build.

Carson Ogilvie  SS - 2019 - Spring, TX
Lubbock Christian University /Hill College

Ogilvie is a quick twitch athlete who played much faster than his 6.89 sixty time in the games, absolutely dominating games with his base running and aggressiveness. He threw 90 mph from both the outfield and infield in drills and filled up the strike zone with mid-80's fastballs on the mound.

Ethan Jeske  SS - 2019 - Murphy, TX
Grayson County College

Jeske is a talented athlete with 6.79 speed and the athleticism to play all over the field, including catch and work up to 83 mph on the mound. He is a right handed hitter with solid hitting mechanics and a high average hitting approach.

McCrae Wiest  RHP - 2019 - Carrollton, TX

Wiest looks the part of a young right handed pitching prospect with his long and young 6-4/185 build and was up to 88 mph on his fastball with a developing curveball. He will continue to add velocity if he can get stronger and continue refining his mechanics.

Caleb Hollis  RHP - 2019 - Mission, TX
Baylor

Hollis has a big and strong 6-3/215 build and a fast arm from a high 3/4's arm slot. He topped out at 87 mph from the mound with very good downhill plane, although his best pitch might have been a 77 mph change up with ideal arm speed and release point to mimic his fastball.

Caden McClure  RHP - 2019 - Bixby, OK
Amherst College

McClure showed a strong arm on the mound with a fastball in the mid-80's, topping out at 87 mph while maintaining his velocity well. He threw both a curveball and a slider from the same arm slot and did a good job throwing strikes and attacking hitters with quality stuff.

Sayers Collins  RHP - 2019 - Frisco, TX
East Texas Baptist University

Collins is surprisingly loose and flexible for a 6-2/235 athlete and showed a strong arm up to 85 mph on the mound. The most impressive thing about his outing was his ability to throw a seemingly endless number of different pitches with feel and command.

Matthew Giles  OF - 2019 - El Paso, TX
St. Edward’s

Giles is a strong armed two-way prospect who threw 91 mph from the outfield with nice mechanics and footwork and also ran a 6.93 sixty. He was up to 86 mph on the mound and got very good spin and depth on his curveball.

Aiden Davis  OF - 2019 - Lewisville, TX

Davis is an athletic 5-10/165 outfielder with very good quickness and 6.69 speed in the sixty. He showed lots of right handed bat speed in the games and a triple he hit up the left centerfield alley was one of the hardest balls hit all weekend.

Caleb Isaacs  LHP - 2019 - Edmond, OK

Isaacs has a loose and athletic 6-1/155 build and a deceptive delivery that makes his 80-84 mph fastball play up in velocity. He showed very good command of his fastball in addition to his velocity and deception and will continue to improve as he tightens up his curveball and gets stronger.

Mason Martinez  RHP - 2019 - Amarillo, TX

Martinez has a very young looking and slender 5-11/145 build and getting stronger will be key to his future development. He was up to 83 mph from a low effort delivery with plenty more velocity in there with additional strength. Martinez also threw a full assortment of off-speed pitches and commanded everything well.

Bailey Figueroa  OF - 2019 - Spring, TX
Concordia University at Austin/Coastal Bend

Figueroa has a very smooth left handed swing and can make an impact with the bat if he can add strength to his slender 6-0/150 frame. He's also a 6.71 runner with good outfield actions and was up to 81 mph on the mound.

Carter Hines  LHP - 2019 - Arcadia, OK

Hines has a very athletic 6-3/205 build and good overall athleticism. He has some adjustments to make with his delivery but throws up to 85 mph from the left side with more there in the future and showed the makings of three off-speed pitches.

David Pagan  C - 2019 - Richmond, TX
Wharton County Junior College

Pagan has the tools to be a valuable utility type player at the next level, especially if he can add some strength. He showed athleticism and smooth actions all over the field defensively and a strong right handed bat for his size.

Trennor O'Donnell  RHP - 2019 - Southlake, TX
Ball State

O'Donnell is all about projection and getting stronger. He's 6-7/205 and only works up to 82 mph at present but has a sound delivery and throws strikes and has outstanding extension out front that enables his fastball velocity to play way up.

Kyle Reece  OF - 2019 - Cypress, TX
Bossier Parish CC

Reece is a very projectable 6-0/165 athlete with a very strong arm from the outfield that registered 92 mph in outfield drills. He's also a 6.95 runner who showed solid infield actions as well.


2020 Top Prospects

Homer Bush  OF - 2020 - Southlake, TX
Grand Canyon

Bush has an outstanding 6-2/185 build and plenty of graceful athleticism. He ran a 6.53 sixty and has all the makings of a plus defensive centerfielder with excellent range and a strong arm. Bush is a right handed hitter with bat speed and gets plenty of carry on the ball and projects big power.

Mitchell Szczygiel  RHP - 2020 - Frisco, TX
Fort Scott CC

Szczygiel showed tools across the board as a two-way prospect. He was up to 84 mph on the mound from a deceptive delivery and abused hitters with his curveball but may have had a better showcase with his polished and smooth left handed swing.

Chuck Ingram  C - 2020 - Kansas City, MO
Wichita State

Ingram has a strong and mature 6-0/195 build and next level tools on both sides of the ball. He has plus arm strength behind the plate and nice flexibility and athleticism in his overall defensive actions. He uses his strength well at the plate with develop good right handed bat speed.

Hunter Cramer  SS - 2020 - Conroe, TX
Northwest Mississippi CC

Cramer is an Arkansas commit with a very projectable 6-2/170 build and solid overall athleticism. He shows very good right handed bat speed that should keep improving as he gets stronger and an aggressive swing approach.

Griffin Shearon  RHP - 2020 - Highlands Ranch, CO

Shearon is a very athletic two-way prospect. Although he is listed as a primary pitcher and threw up to 85 off the mound with a clean arm action, he looked especially strong defensively at shortstop, where he has a strong arm and really charges the ball well.

Perry Burkett  RHP - 2020 - Corpus Christi, TX
Air Force

Burkett worked in the mid-80's for three innings, topping out at 86 mph, with lots of life in both directions on his fastball. He also showed a tight breaking slider and the ability to throw a cutter off his fastball with intent.

Logan Williams  3B - 2020 - Forney, TX
Vernon College

Williams has a big and projectable 6-2/185 frame and lots of right handed bat speed. His swing is short and on time and he showed plenty of jump off the barrel and power potential.

Henry Cooper Huspen  OF - 2020 - Allen, TX
Louisiana State University, Shreveport

Huspen is a very good athlete with 6.75 speed in the sixty and fluid and athletic actions in the outfield to go with a strong throwing arm. He has some present bat speed and gap to gap power and will continue to improve as he adds strength to his 6-1/155 frame.

Jacob Escalon  C - 2020 - Breckenridge, TX
Tarleton State

Escalon has a very strong 6-1/210 frame that gives him big right handed power at the plate. He really stood out on defense at multiple positions, especially at catcher where his arm strength played up and he had a 1.84 pop time.

Jaxon Osterberg  OF - 2020 - Southlake, TX
Wichita State

Osterberg has a solid set of present tools and lots of room to get stronger. He ran a 6.71 sixty, showed a strong outfield arm with good fundamentals and has a strong right handed swing that produced consistent line drive contact.

Caden Koerbacher  C - 2020 - Pilot Point, TX
Grayson County College

Koerbacher has a strong and compact 5-9/175 build and very good quickness behind the plate. He showed good arm strength and popped a 1.92 while showing one of the better swings of all the catchers at the event.

Chase Richter  OF - 2020 - Cypress, TX
Northeast Texas CC

Richter has good present strength at 6-0/180 and a fundamentally sound and simple left handed swing that produced very consistent hard line drive contact. He's a 7.05 runner with similarly fundamentally sound footwork and mechanics in the outfield.

Kolby Bryant  C - 2020 - McKinney, TX

Bryant is a quick twitch athlete, especially for a catcher, and is flexible and fast in all his actions defensively. He's a right handed hitter who uses his quick hands well to create bat speed rom a line drive approach.

Ian Mason  3B - 2020 - Bedford, TX
Murray State College

Mason is a big and strong 6-3/210 athlete who looks to be a future third baseman on defense. His best tool is his right handed bat, where he has present bat speed and plenty of power potential.

Tyler Wulfert  SS - 2020 - Farmington, NM
Oklahoma State/Midland College

Wulfert is a good athlete with a projectable 6-0/165 build and 6.95 speed in the sixty but his best tool was his right handed bat. He consistently squared the ball up hard to the middle of the field with a smooth swing and an advanced approach.

Nicholas Bedsole  3B - 2020 - Shreveport, LA

Bedsole had one of the strongest arms at the showcase, registering 93 mph from the outfield and 87 mph from the mound. How he develops his right handed swing will determine how high a prospect ceiling he has in the future.

Pool has a young and projectable 5-11/170 build and a strong set of fundamentals in all areas that enable his tools to come through well both offensively and defensively. He even looked very solid on the mound, filling up the zone with a low 80's fastball and tight curveball.


2021 Top Prospects

Josiah Lewis  OF - 2021 - Frisco, TX
Uncommitted

Lewis has some strength in his long 6-1/165 build and plenty more to come. He has a strong right handed swing with bat speed and some natural lift to it and has all the tools, including 6.93 speed and a strong throwing arm, to be a plus defensive outfielder.

John Riden  C - 2021 - Austin, TX
Uncommitted

Riden is an athletic defensive player at a number of positions but really stood out behind the plate in games with his quickness, energy and game awareness. He has the look and actions of a high level defensive catcher in the future.

Eric Hammond  RHP - 2021 - Keller, TX
Southern California

Hammond is listed at 6-2/138 but is athletic and has a very fast right arm that is loose and very well timed. He worked in the 80-82 mph range and there is huge additional velocity in there as he gets stronger. Hammond also had an outstanding change up that is a potential plus pitch for him.

Cooper Babcock  C - 2021 - Belton, TX

Babcock has solid defensive tools behind the plate and a projectable 6-1/165 build that is going to get stronger. He popped a 1.94 with good arm strength and fluid actions and also ran a 7.0 sixty and has the ability to play the outfield.

Jack Ben-Shoshan  SS - 2021 - Houston, TX
Rice

Ben-Shoshan has good strength for a 2021 middle infielder and plenty of room to get stronger. He has a fluid right handed swing with nice simple mechanics and drives the ball hard to the gaps. He also showed solid middle infield actions and was up to 83 mph from the mound.

Benjamin Baker-Livingston  RHP - 2021 - Richardson, TX
New Mexico

Baker-Livingston showed solid arm strength for a 2021, topping out at 86 mph from a straight over the top arm slot that created big angle to the plate. He also threw a 73 mph slider that had good action to it and showed nice overall athleticism, including some switch-hitting ability at the plate.

Sebastian Soliz  C - 2021 - Pearland, TX
Incarnate Word

Soliz has a very strong arm for a 2021 and puts it to good use both behind the plate and on the mound, where he sat steadily in the 83-85 mph range with minimal effort. His right handed swing is short and simple with good strength behind it.

Jaxon Weber  LHP - 2021 - Carrollton, TX
TCU

Weber is an athletic young left hander with a strong arm that produced a fastball that topped at 86 mph and was consistently in the mid-80's his entire outing. He threw strikes with his fastball and worked it to spots with intent.

Sergio Guerra  C - 2021 - San Diego, TX
Texas Rio Grande Valley

Guerra is a young primary infielder but he may have a higher ceiling defensively behind the plate, where he showed good athleticism and a strong arm for his age. Guerra's right handed swing is strong and aggressive with good bat speed and extension through the zone.

Tyler Abrego  SS - 2021 - Argyle, TX

Abrego has a nice right handed swing with good flow into the ball and some present bat speed. He also showed smooth actions with nice footwork in the middle infield defensively and a strong and projectable arm.


2022 Top Prospects

Jacob Sullens  OF - 2022 - Keller, TX
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi

Sullins has a loose and projectable 5-11/160 build for a 2022 and has plenty of time to get bigger and stronger. He showed very good run/throw tools for his age with a 7.12 sixty and 83 mph outfield arm strength and plenty of potential in his right handed bat.

Alex Montiel  SS - 2022 - Kyle, TX
Blinn College

Montiel has some strength for his age and a nice and smooth right handed swing with the makings of some real bat speed as he gets stronger. He's a good athlete with balance and athleticism in the field defensively.
