Chase Richter is a 2020 OF/LHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cypress Woods HS. Strong athletic build. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread open stance with a limited lower half shift into contact, simple short swing that he repeats very well, patient hitter who sees the ball well, consistent solid line drive contact, pull to mid field orientation, high average approach. 7.05 runner, has athletic actions in the outfield, aggressive through the ball, good footwork with a compact and quick release. Also pitched, simple leg raise delivery, hides the ball very well, tight 3/4's arm action. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, mixes in a good curveball and a straight change up and has an idea how to pitch, throws strikes. Well rounded athlete who can swing the bat. Good student.
