3-Green Game Highlights

2/17/2024

Noah Merrifield (2026 RHP, Dardenne Prairie, MO) ran his fastball up to 84 mph in today's contest, flashing occasional cutting action to it. He paired it with a high-tilt breaker in the low 70s that showed slurvy depth, and he proved to be able to land it for strikes. He also added a changeup to the mix, which he killed spin on well.

Carson Ramos (2025 C, Wentzville, MO) is a talented backstop who showed plenty of promise with the bat, in addition to being a reliable target and putting in work behind the dish. The right-handed hitter got the barrel out early and smoked one to the pull side during game action. He impressed with consistent jump off the barrel during BP and in game, and he showed the ability to work both gaps with relative ease.

Drew Timp (2025 LHP, Ballwin, MO) worked up to 81 mph from the left side as part of a four-pitch mix. The fastball spin was 2300+ RPMs, showing good life and ride. He flashed two distinct breaking balls - one a short slider/cutter at 70 mph with good lateral depth - and one a curveball in the low 60s with 2500+ RPMs. He also killed spin on a changeup at 74 mph. Timp mixed all four pitches as needed and proved that he could miss bats.

Brady Rosenkranz (2025 RHP, Lincolnshire, IL) worked 87-88 mph consistently on the fastball, showing a smooth and clean operation from a premium 6-foot-7 frame. He flipped a bigger, low-70s curveball and spun a mid 70s slider as well, which had a spin rate of over 2500 RPMs. He also flashed a changeup at 83 mph that he killed spin on well. Plenty of projection to dream on. The upside is massive for Rosenkranz.

2-Columbia Blue Game Highlights

2/17/2024

Luke Blackwell (2026 RHP, Valmeyer, IL) really opened some eyes with his performance today, showing a three-pitch mix from a really tough slot. He was up to 86 mph on the fastball with a ton of ride through the zone, and there was plenty of deception in the delivery. He flashed a slider in the mid-70s with good sweep and tilt, and he also had a changeup with good fade. The right-hander mixed all three pitches well and was painting the corners during his outing.

Noah Cunningham (2025 RHP, Saint Charles, MO) showed a solid two-pitch mix, flashing a fastball up to 85 mph and a curveball in the mid-70s. The fastball had good angle from a higher slot, and the curveball displayed sharp downer shape, which generated swings and misses when below the zone.

Carter (Cj) Lake (2026 3B, St. Louis, MO) is a really intriguing overall prospect who shows big upside on both sides of the ball. On the mound, he topped out at 91 mph with clean arm action and big arm speed. At the plate, the right-handed hitter found the barrel twice, creating lots of separation and leverage in the swing and flashing real power potential.

Ben Kolb (2024 1B, Wentzville, MO) is a strong and physical prospect with big power potential at the plate. His hit tool is also quite advanced, and he put together some good at bats today, including one that ended in a hard-hit single up the middle. He also hopped on the mound for an inning, running his fastball up to 84 mph and flashing a 12/6 curveball.

1-Black Game Highlights

2/17/2024

Chase Dykstra (2026 RHP, Fulton, IL) showed real projectable actions on the mound in this one. The fastball sat 82-83 mph with a spin rate of 2000+ RPMs and good ride. The curveball was 71 mph with 11/5 shape, and he also flashed a hard changeup in the upper 70's with good bite. The right-hander has a quality three-pitch mix with good upside and potential moving forward.

Cameron Fuqua (2026 RHP, Saint Louis, MO) worked up to 85 mph with his fastball, holding a spin rate of 2100+ RPMs. He showed a curveball at 71 mph with 2300+ RPMs, and  it flashed 12/6 shape with good depth. To round out the arsenal, he also featured a changeup at 77 mph with arm side fade. He missed bats and caused problems for hitters during his outing. Good all-around showing for Fuqua.

Kade Huffman (2026 RHP, Poplar Bluff, MO) put together a complete day at the mound and the plate. The big 6-foot-4, 185-pounder was up to 80 mph on the bump and was missing barrels with his fastball at the top of the zone. He fits the bill of your proto-typical left-handed hitting first baseman, and he showed some promise with the bat, displaying a nice swing on an opposite field line drive.

Brendan Pyle (2026 3B, St Peters, MO) flashed some legit two-potential in this one. On the mound, the right-hander ran his fastball up to 90 mph with big arm side run and flashed a breaking ball that can miss bats. At the plate he came ready to go, as he smoked a line drive in the gap in his first at bat of the day.

Brennan Swindler (2025 3B, Lake Saint Louis, MO) certainly made his mark during the games, finding two loud barrels and putting in a quality inning of work on the mound. He ran his fastball up to 83 mph in this look and has plenty more in the tank. The left-handed hitter showed lots to like with the bat, as he hammered two balls to the pull side, flashing real power potential.
