2-Purple vs 1-Orange Game Highlights

Liam Duggan (2029 C, Hempstead, TX)  smashed a ball to the pull side for a single. Has been good all week, staying through the ball and driving it all around the yard. Has good bat speed and has a clean path through the zone.

Oliver Martin (2027 SS, El Paso, TX) absolutely crushed a ball to the pull side for a bomb, and there was no doubt about it. He didn't miss the mistake at the top and launched it out. Good physical frame in the box, not trying to do too much.

Isaac Solis (2029 SS, Midland, TX) didn’t waste any time getting his swing started and smashed a knock back up the middle. Doesn’t get too big but has a level path working through the zone. Had a good day finishing with a pair of knocks that helped his squad.

Paul Moret (2029 C, Houston, TX) has been on the barrel all day, staying between the two gaps. Got the foot in the ground early and turned on a middle heater for a double to the left-center field wall. Has good bat speed already and has a natural feel to lift the ball to the pull side.

Max Sherrill (2027 C, Kingwood, TX) yanked his hands through the zone and hit a triple into the pull-side gap. He hasn't had any issues getting the barrel to the inner half. Has good feel for the bat-to-ball and good feel to pull the ball with impact.

Brayden Warren (2029 3B, Gatesville, TX) got his foot down on time and got his arms extended through the slider for a pull-side knock. Has a good level path through the zone and can work to all parts of the field.

Jagger Williams (2029 OF, Montgomery, TX) does a good job of putting himself in a solid launch position and stays compact in his swing. Turned on a fastball on the inner half for a knock through the left side.

1-Orange vs. 2-Purple Game Highlights

8/1/2026

Isaac Solis (2029 SS, Midland, TX) got the start for the purple squad in this one, and put together a solid first inning of work. The fastball worked mainly in the low 80s and topped out at 83. The fastball worked with solid life to it, and Solis was able to work it in on the hands to hitters for grounders. Solis also showed two different breaking balls, with the slider in the low 70s range with horizontal action and the curveball in the upper 60s with 11-5 shape and depth.

Kalum Garner (2027 RHP, Decatur, TX) kicked things off on the mound for the orange squad, working in the low 80s with the fastball and topping out at 83. The fastball works with a little bit of run to it, and he locates it well to the arm side. The delivery works controlled down the slope with drop-and-drive mechanics into a strong front side. Garner also showed a mid 70s slider with a bit of sweep to it with swing and miss traits. He also showed a mid 70s changeup with a bit of arm side fade and depth. Garner tallied seven strikeouts in three innings.

Bradley Lewis (2028 OF, Mansfield, TX) was first out of the bullpen for the purple squad, and was able to put together a solid showing on the mound. The fastball worked right around 83-85 with good life to it up in the zone. Lewis works with an abbreviated windup, and he works down the mound well into a strong lead leg block. The breaking ball works in the upper 60s with slurve shape to it, and he also showed a changeup in the mid 70s with arm side fade.

Jariel Contreras (2028 OF, Copperas Cove, TX) had a nice showing out on the mound in relief, working around 82-84 with the lively fastball. The delivery works with a loose lower half, and Contreras has a strong front side to finish his pitches. He also works with some tempo on the mound, and mixed in a breaker with depth right around 68-70 with feel for the pitch. Contreras also has a lanky frame with plenty of room to add strength in the coming years.

Connor Chambers (2029 C, Prosper, TX) had a nice swing in the fifth inning, lining a fastball through the middle of the field and into center for a base knock. The swing works with a strong base in the lower half and Chambers keeps the hands inside and through the baseball.

Aiden Rossano (2027 SS, Montgomery, TX) had a good swing on an inside fastball to the pull side for a base hit. The right handed hitter has a feel for the barrel to the pull side with quick hands to get to the inside heater. Rossano also has some strength to the hands with plenty of pop to the barrel.

Oliver Martin (2027 SS, El Paso, TX) had a solid at bat here in the bottom of the fifth, lining out to the center fielder. Martin has some twitch and strength to the swing, and has impressed both at the plate and in the field so far this weekend.

Batting Practice Highlights

8/1/2026

Tanner Smith (2029 OF, Spring, TX) was all over the barrel during his round of BP, working with quick hands and solid direction to the swing. The swing works best through the middle of the field and into the gaps.

Michael Mullagh (2028 OF, Sugar Land, TX) showed off some solid bat speed in his round of batting practice, working on the barrel to all fields consistently. The swing works with a slightly open stance, and most of the strength comes to the pull side.

Aiden Rossano (2027 SS, Montgomery, TX) had a nice round of batting practice, working through the baseball with a feel for the barrel. The swing works with some twitch to it, and he works with impact into the gaps.

Wayen Slanina-Wertz (2028 C, New Braunfels, TX) had a good showing during his round, staying on the barrel throughout the round. The swing has good rhythm to the hands, and he creates good separation with the hips and hands.

Oliver Martin (2027 SS, El Paso, TX) showed off the twitch within the swing during his round, working with a slightly uphill path and impact into the gaps. The swing works with plus bat speed, and Martin has the ability to work the other way with strength.

Max Sherrill (2027 C, Kingwood, TX) provided an intriguing look for strength, showing strength to the opposite field. The hips and lower half fire well into the pitch, creating separation between the hips and the hands.

Jace Vernon (2029 C, Bryan, TX) had a nice showing in BP, working on the barrel consistently throughout the round. Vernon works with a fluid barrel path and good feel for the barrel.

Addison Johnson (2029 1B, Katy, TX) showed off some impressive strength in his round of BP, working on the barrel to all fields with impact. Johnson has a strong profile at the dish, and the swing has a lot of twitch and bat speed.

Bradley Lewis (2028 OF, Mansfield, TX) had a nice round during his batting practice, working on the barrel to the middle of the field. He also has a bit of a downhill path with the ability to backspin the baseball.
