Addison Johnson is a 2029 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-11 225 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Katy. Large, thicker build with plenty of time to add more strength. 9.06 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman, moves around the bag at a deliberate pace with developing lateral range and agility. Showed feel for the proper footwork at the position. Displayed quality glove actions with arm strength up to 77 mph on throws across the diamond. Secondary left-handed pitcher, utilizes a full wind-up delivery from the first base side of the rubber with a belt-high leg lift. Separates the hands at the midsection and into an inline arm path. Releases the ball from a low 3/4 arm slot. Fastball worked well to the glove-side, topping out at 77 mph. Mixed in a softer two-plane breaking ball at 59 mph. Right-handed batter, starts in an open stance with a high hand set-up and high back elbow. Utilizes a simple stride for timing before working into a slightly uphill bat path. Has advanced bat speed and strength for his age. Produced consistent line drive impact to the middle of the field during batting practice. Projects for more power as he continues to physically mature. Posted an exit velocity of 78 mph.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
