Michael Allen (2026, Cypress, Texas) really impressed both sides of the ball putting together a huge week that helped propel his team to a championship run. Allen is an athletic 6-foot-0 backstop who really catch and throw. The bat really came around this week as he went 7-10 with 4 doubles and 6 runs batted in. He came up in big moments and wore out the gaps with the utmost authority. His swing plays to all fields and can match multiple planes. Swing path generally stays level through the zone and has really started to show better control of the barrel staying on it often. The combination of athleticism and strength certainly stood out. Allen is an intriguing uncommitted name to key in on as we roll through the Summer.
