Ben Davis (2022 C, Fulton, MD) is a big and strong 6-2/200 catcher
who uses his strength well in his right handed swing. He stays under
control and short to the ball and produced lots of loud barrels in his
round.
Tyler Albright (2022 OF, Greensboro, NC) is a strong and
athletic player who is a rare left handed thrower and right handed
hitter. A Duke commit, Albright has fast hands at the plate and creates
lots of bat speed with a short path to the ball.
Colin Horneman
(2022 C, St John, IN) has a well timed swing that is short to the ball
and he gets nice extension out front through contact. It's a very sound
mechanical swing that will serve him very well as he gets stronger.
Eli
Gries-Smith (2022 OF, Keyport, NJ) is a big and strong 6-2/195 athlete
with lots of looseness and muscle twitch. He showed big power to the
gaps when he got the barrel out and extended and has plenty of
potential.
Matt Heavner (2022 SS, Lincolnton, NC) is a North
Carolina State commit who has a nice short swing with plenty of hand
quickness and barrel acceleration. He stays very balanced and
directional through contact and squared up almost every pitch.
Leo
Mangiamele (2023 3B, Westfield, NJ) is 6-3/185 and tends to over stride
into his swing and get too spread but the couple of times he shorted up
he showed very nice raw bat speed and lots of leverage and power
potential
Drew Charney (2023 C, Minnetonka, MN) has some
violence in his swing but there is no mistaking his intent and bat
speed. The ball really jumped hard when he squared it up.
Jake
Mathis (2024 3B, Apex, NC) has a nice athletic build for a freshman and
projects very well. He shows present hand quickness from a calm and
balanced approach and a line drive swing that will develop well.
Fisher
Canaday (2023 1B, Wake Forest, NC) has an extra large 6-5/225 build and
huge strength for a sophomore. He has a open, pull approach at the
plate with plenty of lift and carry to left centerfield already.
Cameron
Richey (2024 OF, Sanford, NC) is another North Carolina freshman who
has some present strength his age and a very nice right handed swing
that was simple and direct and consistently finding barrels.
Owen
Platts (2022 3B, Concord, NC) has plenty of solid strength at 6-0/190
but has a short hands driven swing that produced a solid round of hard
line drives to the middle of the field and the pull side.
Joseph
Zorc (2024 SS, Sterling, VA) has good bat speed for a freshman with a
long and extended swing that gives him plenty of leverage at contact.
He uses his lower half very aggressively to help create that bat speed.
CJ
DiNapoli (2022 OF, Mechanicsville, VA) showed some of the best bat
speed of the day and is another right handed hitter who swings with
unmistakable intent. He's attacking the ball and looking to drive it
hard.
Benjamen Mease (2023 RHP, Asheville, NC) is a big and strong
6-3/200 athlete who did a nice job of showing his power, including a
home run during BP and a long triple to left centerfield in the game.
Cameron
Turner (2024 1B, Richlands, NC) is one of the strongest freshman at the
event, if not one of the strongest players overall, and his strength
translates well into big right handed bat speed.
Matthew Ferguson
(2022 1B, Davidson, NC) ranks with Turner as one of the strongest
players at the event and his strength also translates well into power
with pull approach and good natural loft in his swing.
Colin Shue
(2023 C, Leesburg, VA) still has plenty of growing to do to full out his
5-11/155 frame but he has a very nice base swing to grow into and
already has quick hands and an accurate barrel.
Braeden Smith
(2022 1B, Statham, GA) gets coiled and load into his swing very well and
his nice ground up sequencing that enables him to use his 6-0/190 build
and strength to generate bat speed and loud barrel contact.
William
Hovey (2022 2B, Chapel Hill, NC) is an athletic looking middle
infielder with an aggressive swing and solid present bat speed, with
more to come as he adds to his 5-010/160 build.
Matthew Caldwell
(2022 OF, Newport News, VA) is another slight athlete with a very good
base swing who is going to keep improving as a hitter in direct
proportion to how much stronger he can get.
Kristian Barcroft
(2022 1B, Virginia Beach, VA) is a switch-hitter but his left handed
swing really stood out for his bat speed and hard pull contact.
Nick
Baldev (2022 RHP, Warren, NJ) was one of the best hitting primary
pitchers of batting practice, with a nice loose and extended swing and
nice hand action that produced lots of solid mid-field line drives.
