Stephen Kriner is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Hope Mills, NC who attends Freedom Christian Academy. Recorded a 6.74 in the 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder has a short and compact arm action as he fields the ball out front accurately throwing the ball to the bases at 82 mph with developing footwork. The right-handed hitter steps to the plate with a straight and even stance, high handset, and a short, compact swing that generates good barrel control. Kriner has quick hands working the ball gap-to-gap as he is developing backspin on the ball. Secondary right-handed pitcher moves with a full windup with a short sidestep into a high leg kick as he rides the backside down the slope with good lateral movement to the plate out of a high three-quarter arm slot with a developing release point and topping 80 mph. Good student. Named to the Spring Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
