8-Gold vs. 9-Navy Highlights
1/8/2017
Jorge Ignacio Mejia (2017 OF, San Juan, PR): Opened the game by doubling loudly into the opposite field gap, showing good bat speed and plate coverage. He then waited back well on a CB in his 2nd AB before driving it back up the middle for a 2 RBI single. He added a 3rd hit, a single, and a stolen base later in the game. Very productive game for hit.

Kenneth J Gonzalez (2017 C, Arecibo, PR): Collected a pair of hard base hits; also stood out defensively behind the plate with very good receiving and blocking skills to go along with a strong arm.

Ryan De Leon (2018 SS, Cooper City, FL): Showed a compact stroke in both at bats, the second one resulting in an RBI double to left field. Does a good job keeping his hands in and driving the ball.
7-Black vs. 8-Gold Highlights
1/8/2017
Jake Hakey (2017 RHP, Fairfax, VT): Struck out three over his three innings on the mound, working 78-83 MPH with his fastball, including cutting action; and flipping in a solid curveball with 12/6 shape and good depth.
Greg Balicki (2017 2B, Wellington, FL): Continued his solid weekend, showing quality hand speed with barrel control as he laced a hard single into center field in his first at bat. He had a similar hit in his 2nd at bat, getting the barrel on plane and hitting a hard shot up the middle.
Jeffrey Castillo (2017 3B, Wernersville, PA): Has continually hit well this weekend, showing good barrel skills with bat speed on a line drive plane. He can cover the plate well and make hard contact to all fields.
Jordan Small (2017 2B, Parkland, FL): Made hard contact a few times in game including a single that he stretched into a double with good speed, stealing 3B, and then coming around to score on a sac fly. Good wheels on him.
Weston Boling (2017 1B, Naples, FL): Came on in relief for the Gold team and was very good, working 80-81 MPH with his heavy fastball and showing a very sharp, swing-and-miss curveball. He didn't allow a hit and struck out two in his two innings.

8-Gold vs. 9-Navy Highlights
1/7/2017
8-Gold
Lloyd Dominguez (2017 LHP, Hialeah, FL) showed interesting tools on the mound. Dominguez has an ideal frame for a pitcher, which helped him maintain his velocity, and attacked hitters primarily with his fastball. The combination of velocity and movement helped his fastball, which sat 82-85 mph and topped out at 86 mph, rack up eight strikeouts in three innings of one hit baseball.
9-Navy
David Capobianco (2017 LHP, Raynham, MA) put together a gem during his outing. Capobianco finished off 3 scoreless innings of two-hit ball and struck out four batters. He had a long, loose arm action with good feel for mixing his pitches. The fastball sat from 77-80 mph and the pitch worked well off of the curveball, which sat in the high-60s and was the primary strikeout pitch.
Jordan Bridges (2017 OF, Myrtle Beach, SC) came in to deliver some of the highest velocity of the game. Bridges' fastball reached as high as 86 mph and sat comfortably between 83-85 mph. He mixed in a breaking ball which had tight break that he threw for strikes and for swings and misses. Bridges tallied two scoreless frames with five strikeouts.
7-Black vs. 9-Navy Highlights
1/7/2017
7-Black
Ping Chun Ho (2015 RHP, Boca Raton, FL) put together a sparkling out that saw him strike out four batters over three hitless innings. Ho had a very loose arm action with a simple delivery to the plate and attacked hitters with his fastball. The aforementioned pitch sat from 80-85 mph with good, late arm side run.
Justin Williams (2017 MIF, Charlotte, NC) came onto the mound in relief and had similar results. Williams struck out three batters over two innings pitched and allowed only one run. Williams predominantly stuck with his fastball, which sat 79-81 mph, and used it to attack both sides of the plate effectively.
Yi-Wei Hung (2017 SS, Taichung City, TG) put together a couple of good at bats during today's action. He went 1-2 with a couple of hard hit balls including a single. Hung showed good speed and athleticism with a line drive approach at the plate.
9-Navy
Daniel Clark (2017 RHP, Trophy Club, TX) matched Ho nearly pitch for pitch. Clark has a longer arm action but, similarly, did a good job pounding the strike zone. Clark struck out six batters over four innings and only allowed one hit. Clark's fastball showed occasional cut to it and went to the breaking ball often for strikeouts; the pitch had tight break with 10/4 shape.
Aramis Toledo (2017 OF, Cutler Bay, FL) made impressive plays on both offense and defense. He added a hard hit single which showcased his quick hands and bat speed. Defensively he showed off his high level athleticism and instincts with a diving grab in the left centerfield gap.
7-Black vs. 8-Gold Highlights
1/7/2017
7-Black
Jeffrey Castillo (2017 3B, Wernersville, PA) smoked a line drive into the left centerfield gap for a base hit early on in the game. Castillo has good arm strength as well and showed solid tools offensively and defensively.
Jaelin Sewell (2017 1B, Decatur, GA) showed two-way talent impressing on the mound and at the plate. Sewell lined a single to left field and came across to score a run. His overall athleticism and tools showed and he impressed on the mound as well. Sewell's fastball sat from 76-79 mph and topped out at 80 mph. He mixed in a slurve with downward tilt and good movement.
8-Gold
Daniel Nicholls (2017 RHP, Crystal Beach, FL) was dominant on the mound to start the game. He attacked hitters early on with the fastball, which sat from 83-85 mph, and mixed in a curveball and changeup as well. The changeup was in the mid-70s with some downward tilt and a softer curveball in the low-70s with some depth. Nichols allowed only one hit and struck out six over three scoreless innings.
Greg Balicki (2017 2B, Wellington, FL) showed off speed and a high level offensive skill set. Balicki had a hard hit line drive single and added a stolen base and a run scored to his box score as well. He has solid bat speed with solid athleticism and has a strong overall offensive profile.
Kenneth J Gonzalez (2017 C, Arecibo, PR) had a hard hit double to the pull side gap. He has good bat speed with a feel for hitting the ball hard with the barrel. Gonzalez generates good torque with his lower half as well and has present strength in his swing.
Anrae Strane Jr (2017 SS, Conyers, GA) showed off his impressive athleticism and was very sharp on the mound. Strane Jr has very good arm strength and topped out at 86 mph on the mound with his fastball. Strane Jr struck out three batters and allowed only one run over two innings pitched.
Jordan Small (2017 2B, Parkland, FL) delivered two base knocks during the game today. He scored a run and showed a sound, line drive approach during his at-bats. He showed some polish at the plate with a good game plan.
