2019 Top Prospects

Bo Gatlin  SS - 2019 - Oxford, MS
Mississippi

Making the trek from Oxford, Mississippi to Georgia, Bo Gatlin made a huge impression both in the infield at his primary shortstop position as well as a giving a big-time showing in batting practice. Gatlin has actions that play in the middle infield and an arm that topped out at 86 mph across the diamond, but the huge power in his balanced swing was on display during the event as he put three balls out to his pull side during BP.

Kevin Kilpatrick  OF - 2019 - Stockbridge, GA
College of Central Florida

Quick-twitch outfielder and uncommitted prospect flourished in all aspects of the weekend's showcase running a 6.56 second 60 yard dash, threw 91 mph from the outfield and showcased big-time power in batting practice. The righthanded hitter put on a power display in BP and has a chance to be an elite prospect with his showing at the event.

Caswell Smith  RHP - 2019 - Ball Ground, GA
College of Charleston

The commitment to College of Charleston ran his fastball up to 91 mph with a quick arm action and some feel for his pair of offspeed offerings. Smith a 6-foot-3 righthander, was able to produce lots of swings and misses with all three of his pitches when locating around the strike zone.

Theo Bryant  OF - 2019 - Conley, GA
Tennessee Tech

Bryant has an outstanding frame standing at 6-foot-3, 175-pounds and is able to generate big arm strength from the outfield with that frame up to 91 mph. The righthanded hitting outfielder has good barrel skills as well as leverage to his stroke that displayed promise making him a high level uncommitted talent.

Christian Collier  OF - 2019 - Ozark, AL
L. B. Wallace CC

Collier was able to showcase his talent especially his arm strength at an array of positional drills including his primary position in the outfield. The righthanded outfielder topped out at 90 mph from the outfield and a level swing plane that is able to square up the baseball with impact strength.

Darian Howard  3B - 2019 - Atlanta, GA
Wallace CC-Dothan

The son of former Major Leaguer Ryan Howard had one of the more consistent rounds of batting practice throughout the event. Squaring up the ball repeatedly and displaying big-time juice made Howard on a standout of the weekend's event. He also impressed at first base with athletic movements around the bag and a quick turn to second base.

Calabria Atkins  C - 2019 - Conyers, GA
Southern

Atkins has a very physical profile with strength in the frame, his arm, and in the bat. The arm strength was on display with an 80 mph recorded velocity from behind the dish with a sub-2.00 second pop time and a quick release. The bat speed stands out with lots of impact strength and has a nice, well-rounded skill set.

Matthew Silka  RHP - 2019 - Canton, GA
Uncommitted

Silka shows a tremendous amount of arm strength on the mound as well as the ability to maintain his 85-88 mph velocity over the course of his three inning stint. Not an overly physical pitching prospect but has an idea how to pitch attacking with his fastball and getting outstanding drive from his lower half down the mound.

Josh Gray  OF - 2019 - Jacksonville, FL
Tallahassee CC

A Hillsborough CC commit, Gray stood out with his professional approach both in the outfield and offensively. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound prospect has plenty of projection to his power with a long, leveraged swing path that plays well to the pull side and he has the overall athleticism with a sub-7.00 second 60-yard dash time to stick in the outfield.

Jarel Jay Watson  OF - 2019 - Stone Mountain, GA
Jackson State

Turning in one of the faster 60-yard dash times of the event, Watson uses his blazing 6.48 second 60 speed to take control of games on the base paths. He has solid arm strength from the outfield, recorded up to 84 mph, to go along with a contact-oriented approach that complements his speed nicely.

Nathan Boyce  RHP - 2019 - Loganville, GA
Piedmont University

Boyce, a primary righthanded pitcher, has an extremely projectable 6-foot-3 frame that is able to run his fastball up to 84 mph with varying life to the offering. The native of Loganville, Georgia is able to throw three pitches for strikes and produce lots of soft groundball contact.

Matthew Grizzle  RHP - 2019 - Dahlonega, GA
South Georgia College

Grizzle is a lean and projectable righthander who can run his fastball up to 86 mph and held his low-80s velocity for the entirety of the outing. He shows good present command of the fastball and isn't afraid to run the pitch on the inner half against hitters while the curveball is a solid secondary pitch with 11/5 shape and good depth.

Peyton Harris  RHP - 2019 - Ramer, TN
Northeast Mississippi CC

Harris ran his fastball up to 84 mph from his deceptive delivery and has a projectable 6-foot-1 frame that you can project on as a righthanded pitcher. The righty has good arm speed in his delivery as well as the ability to maintain his velocity with the accompaniment of a sharp 11-to-5 curveball.

Kyle Potthoff  RHP - 2019 - Chesterfield, MO
Rutgers

Potthoff is a 6-foot-5, projectable righthanded pitcher who is new to pitching and has a ton of upside. The righthander worked up to 86 mph with three pitches for strikes including a sharp breaking ball and the ability to land the changeup effectively. The arm is extremely quick and he should continue to improve with more time on the mound.

Brandon Prince  SS - 2019 - Bremen, GA
Mercer/Georgia Highlands

Prince was able to run one of the fastest 60 yard dashes of the weekend as well as show the power in his swing and clean footwork in the infield. Prince burst for a 6.63 second 60 yard dash and displayed quick-twitch athleticism to his actions as well as a fluid, compact stroke with carry off of the barrel.

Tyler Rigot  LHP - 2019 - Weddington, NC
Bucknell

The lefthanded pitcher committed to Bucknell has plenty of things to like on the mound including his lively fastball that has plenty of movement. He pitches mostly off of the fastball attacking hitters with it as the pitch reached 84 mph with plenty of arm speed and a developing curveball as his secondary offering.

Jose Vargas  SS - 2019 - Harrisburg, NC
Catawba Valley CC

An uncommitted 2019 shortstop from North Carolina Jose Vargas made the trip to Georgia getting a chance to show off his skillset in the infield and at the plate. He did so well with his actions and footwork in the middle infield throughout the weekend and tools to work with and bat speed at the dish.

Maury Weaver  SS - 2019 - Peachtree City, GA
Chattanooga State Technical CC

Weaver shows some athleticism to his actions in the infield as well as overall quickness running a 6.63 second 60 yard dash at the event. His hands are really smooth out in front and his swing is compact with plenty of looseness as well as quickness to his hands producing line drive contact.


2020 Top Prospects

Brayden Brady Moore  SS - 2020 - Talking Rock, GA
Coastal Carolina/Georgia Highlands

Moore really showed off the tools this weekend as he turned in a 6.6 second 60-yard dash, threw 89 mph across the infield, and even bumped 88 mph on the mound. The hands and athleticism play nicely defensively to go along with lots of bat speed, impact strength, and future power potential from an offensive standpoint.

Jacob Howell  RHP - 2020 - Sharpsburg, GA
Central Alabama CC

Howell is a 6-foot-4, 185-pound primary pitcher who showed off very impressive two-way ability. The physical prospect ran his fastball up to 85 mph with lots of sink and a sharp 11/5 breaking ball. He moves well for his size and can range to both sides over at third while the swing is very good with balance, loft, and power coming.

Ryan Sonnier  OF - 2020 - Lawrenceville, GA
Alcorn State

Sonnier had a strong weekend as the uber-athletic 6-foot-3, 170-pound prospect is extremely projectable and showed off both offensive and defensive tools. Sonnier ran a 6.76 second 60-yard dash time and threw 87 mph from the outfield all while showing off a loose, fast swing with a very quick trigger that projects well going forward.

Blake Bortak  OF - 2020 - Monroe, GA
Samford

Whenever you run a 6.5 second 60-yard dash time, you know a prospect has elite speed, however that doesn't quite do Bortak enough justice. The speed is used in various ways in game to disrupt on the base paths and his arm strength from both the outfield and infield coupled with the offensive tools make for an exciting prospect.

Christian Dyer  SS - 2020 - Sharpsburg, GA
LaGrange College

It's rare to see such a young prospect with an impressive combination of speed and power. Dyer recorded a 6.64 second 60-yard dash time and showed a smooth, leveraged swing during batting practice. The swing path, approach, and raw bat speed all bode well moving forward and the power will continue to improve with additional strength.

Dylan Johnston  C - 2020 - Athens, AL
Alabama-Huntsville

Johnston showed off some of the best pure catch-and-throw tools of the entire event and the peripherals back that up with a 79 mph velocity from behind the dish with a 1.93 second pop time. The offensive approach is nice and balanced with the ability to impact a ball to all fields and he showed off intriguing two-way potential on the mound running his fastball up to 84 mph.

Matthew Peak  OF - 2020 - Franklin, TN
Uncommitted

Peak is a very good athlete with a high-ceiling offensive profile. The swing is long and loose through the zone with lots of natural leverage and power potential. The athleticism with play all around the outfield, he's a 6.7 second 60-yard dash time runner, and the athleticism combined with the upside offensive approach are very intriguing.

Jacob Profit  2B - 2020 - Warner Robins, GA
Reinhardt University

Profit may not blow you away with size, but he more than makes up for it with tons of quick-twitch athleticism and a high-contact offensive profile. He turned in one of the better 60 yard dash times of 6.63 second time and the athletic middle infielder has quick hands and good balance in the righthanded batter's box.

Jack Witmer  OF - 2020 - Griffin, GA
West Georgia

Witmer is a solid outfield prospect with good athleticism and speed, a 6.85 second 60-yard dash that was recorded, in conjunction with his well-balanced profile. He throws in the mid-80s from the outfield along with real hitting tools highlighted by his consistent, repeatable swing path to go along with quick hands and barrel skills.


2021 Top Prospects

Harry Ford  C - 2021 - Kennesaw, GA
Georgia Tech

Ford was a revelation this weekend showing off some of the best catch-and-throw skills in the class to go along with serious tools elsewhere. The arm strength was recorded up to 82 mph behind the dish while his best pop time was an absurd 1.81 seconds. His loose hands, fast bat, and smooth barrel plane all project exceptionally well going forward.

Michael Conder  OF - 2021 - Bainbridge, GA
Enterprise-Ozark CC

Conder has plenty of pop already off of his barrel and has extremely advanced foot speed. The righthanded hitting outfielder drove the ball during batting practice and ran a 6.66 second 60 yard dash during the event. With the combination of pop and quickness, Conder has high level projectability.

Grant Cherry  RHP - 2021 - Vestavia Hills, AL
Long Beach State

Cherry stands at an ideal 6-foot-2, 185-pounds and really projects for more with additional strength. He already is able to produce mid-80s fastballs that he is able to locate to either side of the plate. His arm action is long and loose with a potential weapon in his 11-to-5 curveball when he further develops.

Jack Spyke  C - 2021 - Lawrenceville, GA
Winthrop

Spyke has gap to gap power that was on display early and often during the showcase both in batting practice as well as repeatedly in game action. He shows the ability to turn the barrel over with strength at the point of contact as well as, at his primary catching position, popped a 1.94 second best time down to second base.

Sean Desrosier  OF - 2021 - Midland, GA

Desrosier consistently drove line drives to the middle of the field with quickness to his stroke and a line drive swing plane. He also shows good arm strength from his outfield position and good foot speed with a best throw of 84 mph and a 60 yard dash of 6.76 seconds respectively.

Coulson Buchanan  RHP - 2021 - Sugar Hill, GA
Wofford

Buchanan had a really clean outing on the mound while running his fastball up to 83 mph and offering up a pair of secondary pitches for strikes. The righthander has a compact arm stroke and feel for his offspeed especially his curveball that does have some potential and present tightness.

Jack Cebert  RHP - 2021 - Tampa, FL
South Florida

Jack Cebert has nice ability on the mound with good arm strength that produces a fastball in the low-80s up to 84 mph. He works downhill from and over the top arm action mixing in a curveball with 12-to-6 shape and depth as well as the ability to land the fastball and curveball for strikes.

Cameron Foster  SS - 2021 - Douglasville, GA
Liberty University

Foster showed off impressive two-way ability, current tools, and projection from his 6-foot-3, 193-pound frame. The athletic middle infielder has good actions over at shortstop with a strong arm, but his performance on the mound was very intriguing. He has a clean arm, a fastball up to 84 mph, and a good secondary pitch with a slider.

Alex Johnson  C - 2021 - Montgomery, AL
Martin Methodist College

Johnson showed big-time arm strength especially given his age while firing up to 88 mph from the outfield during drills. At the plate he has some whip to his barrel with hips that work well into his swing and an overall very projectable stroke.

Braden Montgomery  OF - 2021 - Madison, MS
Stanford

Primary righthanded outfielder and switch hitter Braden Montgomery has quick hands from both sides of the plate and athletic movements in the outfield. He also was able to top out at 85 mph from the outfield. With lots of promise to his swing in both batters boxes, Montgomery really has a bright future in the outfield.

Avery Seaton  OF - 2021 - Madison, AL
Alabama A&M

Seaton had a solid weekend on both sides of the ball and offers intriguing upside as a two-way prospect moving forward. The swing is powerful as he can impact the ball with a lot of strength while getting the ball into the air nicely. The arm strength plays well on the mound where he can work in the low-80s.

Emery Wright  C - 2021 - Knoxville, TN
Tennessee Tech

Versatility and middle of the field contact are what Emery Wright brings to the field and he showcased that at the weekend's event. Wright worked out at the athletic 5-foot-10 primary catcher has athleticism behind the plate that plays at multiple positions as well as clean actions and a quick and strong arm behind the plate.


2022 Top Prospects

Tanner Knowles  SS - 2022 - Elko, GA
Georgia

Knowles is still growing into his young and projectable frame, but has tools to like in a his infield actions as well as with his bat. His swing is very projectable as he continues to add strength while already having looseness to his hands that work well into the rhythmic stroke.

Caleb Parmele  OF - 2022 - Roswell, GA
Uncommitted

Arm strength was on display for the incoming freshman from Roswell, Georgia as he was able to showcase it during outfield drills bolting a best 86 mph throw from his primary position. His feet are quick to the ball with athletic actions while having a good approach at the plate with the ability to hit the ball to all fields.

Nick Correll  RHP - 2022 - Nashville, TN
Uncommitted

The 2021 graduate from Nashville was really impressive on the mound and has potential to continue to improve velocity as he already tops out at 83 mph with his fastball. The baseball comes from a compact arm stroke with occasional sink on the fastball and flashes of tightness to his upper-60s 11-to-5 breaking ball.


2023 Top Prospects

Jaeden Jackson  1B - 2023 - Dothan, AL
Uncommitted

The youngest grad year participant at the event made a big first impression as he is still only an eight grader, but already has big potential power moving forward with some refinement as well as a fastball that already touches 83 mph with heavy sinking action. The primary first baseman produces high exit velocities when he squares up the baseball and will only improve in due time.


Free Agents Top Prospects

Daalen Adderley  SS - Free Agents - Nassau Bahamas, NW BHS

The native of the Bahamas and now attendee of the McCallie School in Chattanooga was able to show off his elite in fielding actions as well as his righthanded hit tool during the weekend. Adderley hands extremely soft hands that play the ball well and a loose stroke that already produces hard contact and projects even more with proper refinement.
