Ryder Dykstra  OF - 2024 - Corona, CA
Southern California

Ryder Dykstra was one of the more impressive bats all weekend. There’s real feel to hit where he was on the barrel all BP long to the pull-side showing some above avg. bat/hand speed within a smooth and balanced swing. Those swings transitioned into gameplay with two loud barrels to the middle of the field on Saturday. Also of note was his solid 6.94 60yd-dash and his accurate 84 mph arm in the OF.

Nate Stern  RHP - 2024 - Los Angeles, CA

A Long Beach State commit, Ortega was perhaps the best defensive catcher at the showcase. He works low and cat quick in his actions behind the plate and has a cannon of an arm, registering 82 mph during drills.

Tait Karlson  RHP - 2024 - Ramona, CA
Uncommitted

Tait Karlson’s Saturday outing on the mound brought some intrigue. It’s a low-effort flowing operation down the mound where his arm has worked loose/continuous in the back with some easy arm speed to release. His FB worked up to 88 living 84-86 that showed both run/sink that got in on the hands of RHHs. Mixed in a developing slurvy breaking ball at 75 mph that showed more depth than sweep and an interesting split that he was able to kill spin and get depth to when located low in the zone. Should be an interesting follow on the mound especially if athleticism trends in the right direction.

Augie Lopez  C - 2024 - Hermosa Beach, CA
Southern California

A Southern California commit, Lopez is a big and strong right-handed hitter with bat speed and the ability to drive the ball deep to the middle of the field. A catcher who also plays corner infield, Lopez’ best defensive tool is his strong arm.

Caleb Thompson  RHP - 2024 - Riverside, CA
Uncommitted

Joe Steidel showed intriguing stuff on the mound from the left side while striking out 9 hitters. His FB worked up to 82 sitting 78-81 using it with intent up in the zone for whiffs. Also snapped off several quality CBs in the upper 60s that he was able to flip over for strikes and even back-foot to RHHs. The build/frame yields some projection at 6-0/170 and should be an arm to watch develop this summer and into the fall.

Matthew Bernath  SS - 2024 - Riverside, CA
Uncommitted

Matthew Bernath has present athleticism/skill on both sides of the ball. He ran a solid 7.16 60yd dash and at SS he showed light feet that allowed him to play through the baseball along with some quality glove-to-hand quickness that translated in-game where he made several difficult plays where he had to come in on balls. With all that, he’s actually a primary OF who ran a solid 7.15 60yd dash and showed a solid 86 mph arm from the OF. At the plate, it’s a simple swing with quick hands that work direct towards the baseball where he was consistently on the barrel in BP and ended up squaring up several in game play collecting three hits on the weekend.

Aidan Stevenson  1B - 2024 - Coto De Caza, CA
Trinity College (Connecticut)

Stevenson is a versatile defensive player who can play all over the diamond, including throwing up to 83 mph on the mound. His best tool is his bat, as the 6-0/195 right handed hitter has very good strength and bat speed and impacts the ball hard.

Zach Doyle  OF - 2024 - Ladera Ranch, CA
UC Irvine

Zachary Doyle showed well across the board. The 5-9/165lb OF ran a solid 6.94 60yd dash and has an accurate 85 mph arm from the OF. He also showcased some athleticism on a tough sliding play coming in on a ball in right during game play saving a run. At the plate there’s a lot to like. It’s a simple/quiet trigger where his hands slot the barrel early in the zone allowing for a clean uphill bat path. There’s some present quickness in the hands and through the swing he maintains balance and extension through the baseball.

Dillon Booth  3B - 2026 - Rosamond, CA
Uncommitted

Booth was one of the most impressive defensive players at the showcase, as he showed a high level ability to play all over the field including catcher. His right handed swing is quick and short with plenty of line drive contact.

Logan Green  OF - 2026 - Reno, NV
Uncommitted

Green is a polished young player with a good tool set to develop. His right-handed swing approach was calm and repeatable with plenty of bat speed and he made consistent hard pull side contact.

Julian Rodriguez  3B - 2026 - Placentia, CA
Uncommitted

Julian Rodriguez showed quality skill in the INF and in BP but certainly passed the eye test on the mound. Defensively it was proper footwork/glovework with an ability to range both ways and be accurate with throws across the diamond. In BP, he showed a simple swing where his hands worked short and direct while being consistently on barrel. Then on the mound he showcased a solid east/west pitch mix that paired well off each other. He was into the low 80s with his FB that showed running action and a solid sweeping 71 mph SL that got up to 2600 rpms and should trend up as velo trends up.

Kosta Filipovic  RHP - 2026 - Las Vegas, NV
Uncommitted

Kosta Filipovic was one of the more interesting ‘26s our staff saw on the mound. Standing 6-4/210lbs he has standout size and physicality that gives him quite the mound presence. It’s an easier low-effort delivery. His arm gets longer in the back and works up to a higher slot that allows his FB to work downhill and induce ground balls. Mixed in a developing rolling CB in the mid 60s that flashed potential when he was able to extend and really snap it off. Should be an arm to watch develop these next few years in HS.
