Wyatt Arellano is a 2024 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 5-9 162 lb. frame from Corona, CA. Medium frame with with beginning of strength. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary catcher with a taller, slightly side set stance while receiving the baseball. Gains ground towards the bag would working out of crouch. Fluid glove circle across chest at exchange and released from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Throws created on line carry to the bag topping at 69 mph, best workout pop time of 2.19. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing deliberate footwork while rounding the baseball. Funnels from a slightly deeper position and worked through exchange efficiently. Loose arm circle at separation and released from a three-quarters slot. Throws created some on line carry to the bag at 71 mph. Right handed hitter with a spread, slightly open stance and toe tap trigger. Created solid line shift into contact with lower half. Deeper hand load and swung with intent on a naturally lifted barrel plane through extension. Consistently threw barrel head to contact out front and looked to drive the baseball to the gaps. Generated good carry to each gap when on time and squared. Also pitched utilizing a side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays flexed on back side at gather and worked to the plate with drop and drive actions. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a three quarters slot. Primarily looked to work fastball down in the zone in the upper 60's to low 70's, topped at 72 mph. Curveball showed 12/6 shape with occasional tight spin and shorter depth in the upper 50's.
