Bryce Alewine, RHP, Sharpsburg, Ga.
Class of 2023 | PG Rank: 500

Alewine stands out from a physical standpoint at 6-foot-4 and has some serious upside because of it. Easy upper-80s fastball and feel to spin a breaking ball. In 2022, Alewine tossed 23 innings, giving up just two earned runs while striking out 27. He also proved to have command of his arsenal, giving up just five free passes over the course of the year. The biggest question will be his velocity coming into the spring. Anything into the low-90s will catapult him onto radars and he very well could be the top uncommitted arm from the ’23 class.



Luke Orfi, SS/RHP, Cumming, Ga.
Class of 2023 | PG Rank: 500

Orfi has put up some seriously impressive metric numbers this year at showcases while also proving that it translates into games. Plenty of tools to work with. Sub-6.5 second 60 runner. Good lateral range in the infield and has a strong arm to go with it. Some really strong stats over the last five years in PG events. In 479 at-bats, he is a career .342 hitter. Has also scored 132 runs himself, proving to be a threat on the paths. Plenty of high-end tools to work with and will surely warrant some interest going into his final prep spring.
 

Gus Gandy, SS, St Simons Island, Ga.
Class of 2024 | PG Rank: 231

Gandy is an intriguing prospect hailing from the southeast part of the state. Twitchy-type prospect who plays a solid middle infield while swinging a confident bat in the box. Really had a strong showing at the Jr. National Showcase back in June, impressed many on hand. Has the proper tools to stick at shortstop long term. Plays a fundamentally sound game and won’t be on that uncommitted list for much longer.
 

Noah Thigpen, RHP, Lake Park, Ga.
Class of 2024 | PG Rank: 401

Thigpen made a nice jump in the most recent rankings and for good reason. The right-hander from south Georgia was a menace on the bump this year. Lively arm as he ran it up into the upper-80s consistently. Great performance in the WWBA Underclass World Championship. Shut down a strong lineup, going 5 innings striking out six on just one walk. That outing was sure to get some attention and it will be interesting to see where he lands at the next level.
 

Henry Akopov, OF, Marietta, Ga.
Class of 2025 | PG Rank: 326

Akopov is no doubt one of the best athletes in his entire class. Ran a casual 6.39 second 60-yard dash back in May of this year. Speed translates into the outfield as he covers plenty of real estate. Has the arm to play any of the positions as well. Hit tool shines also, hitting just shy of .400 on the year with 144 plate appearances. Impressed at the Class of 2025 All-American Games in Baton Rouge in August, which surely put his name onto schools' lists throughout the country.
 

Porter Berryman, LHP, Lilburn, Ga.
Class of 2025 | PG Rank: 500

Berryman is right in line to take over as the guy at Parkview High School. The school has a long standing tradition of winning and Berryman looks to fit that mold. Crafty lefty who knows how to get guys to swing and miss. Mid-80s fastball and it is easy out of hand. Mixes in a big horizontal breaking ball and knows how to kill speed with a changeup. In 36 innings pitched, he struck out 45 hitters over the course of the year at PG events. Consistent performer and will be interesting to see how his prep career unfolds.

Jacob Fields, OF/3B/RHP, Acworth, Ga.
Class of 2023 | PG Rank: 500

Fields is a do-it-all type of player that can play multiple positions and also pitch. He has a strong lower half and produces impressive bat speed at the dish. He consistently peppers the gaps with liners. He’s a good runner, getting as low as a 6.65 60-yard dash time in recent months. On the mound, his fastball gets up to 88 mph with true feel to spin a sharp breaking ball. He repeats his mechanics well and still has some more in there. Fields is a name to continue monitoring as he shouldn’t be on the market for too much longer.

Corey Fields, OF, Acworth, Ga.
Class of 2023 | PG Rank: 500

Fields rounded out his solid year with an impressive showing at Jupiter. He hit .600 with a double and a triple and also drove in a par in only five at-bats. He has a nice blend of power and speed to the game. He’s a plus-runner and steals bags in every event that he attends, he had two in limited game action at Jupiter. He’s a strong player with jump off the barrel. He has quick, strong hands and finds the barrel often. Really like this player that has continued to put together solid performances over the past year.
 

Quaterrion Walton, SS, Fairburn, Ga.
Class of 2023 | PG Rank: 500

Walton has been a name that we’ve seen quite a bit of over the last year and he’s impressive with every look. The 5-foot-10, 143-pound shortstop strings together solid at-bats and is a plus-runner already, running a 6.43 60-yard dash time at last year’s Underclass Main Event. He has a short, compact swing with good hand speed and advanced barrel skills. He’s a table-setter type hitter that finds himself on base regularly. The actions on the dirt are smooth with impressive range to both sides. He has easy arm strength and carry across, just proving he has all the tools to stick at shortstop but has also shown feel for second base.
 

Joseph Cable, C/RHP, Roswell, Ga.
Class of 2023 | PG Rank: 500

Cable is a solidly built 5-foot-11, 175-pound backstop that has the ability to stick behind the plate at the next level. He has sound movements with flexibility in the lower half and a good arm. The arm also translates to the mound, running the fastball up to 89 mph. At the plate, he has good bat speed and whip through the zone and has shown the ability to hit the ball hard consistently. He is a player that could fill multiple spots on a roster at the next level.
 

Alex Urias, OF, Cumming, Ga.
Class of 2023 | PG Rank: 500

Urias, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound outfielder, has shown the ability to hit the ball all over the field in multiple looks. He has a short, direct path to the ball with little moving parts in the operation. He has solid actions in the outfield with a good arm and the ability to play both corner outfield positions. Urias is a name that we have become familiar with in recent years and he won’t be available for much longer.

Dimitri Angelakos, SS/RHP, Woodstock, Ga.
Class of 2024 | PG Rank: 269

Angelakos strung together solid performances both on the mound and at the plate throughout 2022. He’s an athletic 6-foot-2, 200-pound right-handed pitcher that has been up to 88 mph with the ability to throw three pitches for strikes. He mixes in a breaking ball and a changeup with fade. At the plate, the cut is direct and leads to a lot of loud barrel contact. He’s as consistent as they come in both phases.
 

Zach Jackson, OF/RHP, Smyrna, Ga.
Class of 2024 | PG Rank: 500

Jackson, a star on the gridiron as well, looked really good on the mound throughout the summer. He’s an extremely athletic right-hander with a ton of room to continue to grow into more velocity. The arm talent has been on display, running the fastball up to 88 mph with a very low effort operation. The breaking ball is solid and has consistent depth with good spin rates. He has also shown the ability to handle the stick and play solid defense in center field.
 

Michael Zito, SS, Milton, Ga.
Class of 2024 | PG Rank: 500

Zito, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound middle infielder, strung together really good performances on the circuit all year. He has sound, athletic actions on the dirt with a good arm across and projects well to stick on the left side. At the plate, the hand speed is impressive and he has proven to have advanced feel for the barrel. He’s really starting to get into some power and could be a good add to any program.
 

Miles Shore, OF, Marietta, Ga.
Class of 2024 | PG Rank: 500

Shore, a 6-foot, 180-pound outfielder, looked really good throughout the summer and the fall for the East Cobb Astros. He generates a ton of bat speed and really fires the lower half in the swing. The jump off the barrel to both gaps is impressive and he finds the barrel extremely often. He’s still gaining strength onto the frame which is a scary sight to opposing pitchers.

Gavin Lynch, RHP, Milton, Ga.
Class of 2023 | PG Rank: 500

One of the anchors on the Brookwood Broncos High School staff, the 6-foot-6, 200-pound right-handed pitcher is one of the few top-ranked arms left in the Georgia class. Over the 2022 PG summer circuit, Lynch became a big part of the TG D-Backs Scout Team rotation with 30 strikeouts over 21 1/3 innings while allowing only four earned runs. The big right-hander sits in the low-90s with a high of a 94 mph on his fastball and spins a solid breaking ball in the mid-70s. Lynch also incorporates a changeup for a quality mix to not only compete at the next level but become a mainstay in the top half of starting rotation.

Amir Streeter, OF, Lithonia, Ga.
Class of 2023 | PG Rank: 500

The 6-foot, 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder is a 6.5 runner that is starting to tap into his strength and potential at the plate for the GBSA Rays. Streeter stays through the middle of the field with his approach and has shown the ability to juice balls to the pull side. Just another talented Georgia Premier Academy product coming through the pipeline down in Statesboro, Georgia.

Kyle Chatham, OF, Marietta, Ga.
Class of 2023 | PG Rank: 500

If you are looking for an outfielder with instincts and fundamental baseball skills that will add value to your lineup, then Chatham is a player to fit in your program. The 6-foot, 180-pound right-handed hitter exhibits these traits with his ability to find the barrel in the box and utilizes his 6.68 speed and high baseball IQ to contribute on both sides of the ball. An intelligent player on the field with athletic actions and a 4.18 GPA in the classroom, Chatham is the type of player you want in your program.

Adrian Jimenez, SS, Sugar Hill, Ga.
Class of 2024 | PG Rank: 344

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitting shortstop for Lanier High School can flat out swing the stick. The 2020 13U Select Festival player hits everywhere he goes, using his strong lower half frame and elite hand-eye coordination to consistently barrels balls all over the diamond. A quick footed middle infielder with soft hands and arm strength to play on both sides of the pillow, Jimenez can impact a game on both sides of the ball. An excellent student in the classroom and smart baseball player between the lines, he will be a plus addition to any program that is fortunate to land him.

Jackson Barberi, RHP, Snellville, Ga.
Class of 2024 | PG Rank: 320

A young 2024 grad, Barberi won’t even be 18 years old when he steps on a college campus. The 6-foot-3, 165-pound right-handed pitcher has a ton of projection in his frame to dream on and already armed with a 90 mph fastball and quality secondaries. After bursting on the PG circuit over the summer for the TG D-Backs, Barberi finished his campaign with a stellar performance on the bump at the WWBA World Championship in Jupiter, Florida and will look to continue his rise in the PG rankings in 2023 at Brookwood High School as one of the top uncommitted arms in the Georgia class.

Ethan Jarvis, OF, Winder, Ga.

Another talented baseball player from the powerhouse North Oconee High School baseball program, the junior right-handed hitter can definitely play at the next level and will be a good grab for a number of college programs. The 5-foot-9, 155-pound outfielder competes on both sides of the ball and will only increase his present skill set as he adds size and strength to slender frame as a late-bloomer that knows how to play the game.

Cannon Goldin, OF, Buford, Ga.
Class of 2025 | PG Rank: 35

A 14U Select Festival player, Goldin is the No. 1 ranked outfielder in the Georgia class. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound left-handed hitter displays all the skills as a top-of-the-order bat with his ability to use the whole field with barrel awareness in the box and his 6.6 60-yard dash speed. A gifted athlete and route runner in the outfield, Goldin displays the instincts and arm strength to play all three spots on the grass while maintaining a 3.5 GPA in the classroom at one of the top programs in Georgia at Buford High School.

Jay O'Neal, RHP, Cedartown, Ga.
Class of 2025 | PG Rank: 57

An uncommitted list of Georgia prep players would not be complete if it did not include the power arm of O’Neal. All the 6-foot-2, 210-pound right-handed pitcher does is put up zeros every time he toes the slab. He runs the fastball into the low-90s with some serious arm-side run to both sides of the plate and commands the pitch as good as any pitcher in the state, regardless of grade or class. A power right-hander that goes right after hitters that is starting to show signs of a plus breaking ball and quality changeup, as he logs more innings as a primary pitcher. A top-ranked catcher before converting solely to the bump, O’Neal is the definition of a workhorse starting pitcher that takes the ball and provides quality innings at the top of the rotation.

With a postseason run for the ages, the Oklahoma Sooners (43-23) took home the National Championship and naturally finish the 2026 season as our No. 1 team in the land.  It is the third national title for the Sooners, playing in their 12th CWS and making their fourth championship series appearance.  They add to previous national titles won in 1951 and 1994 and did it by taking the most difficult path of any team in this year’s tournament.  In the NCAA Tournament, Oklahoma took down national seeds, No. 2 Georgia Tech twice, No. 3 Georgia twice, No. 5 UNC twice, No. 7 Alabama and No. 15 Kansas twice.  This was the second time that head coach Skip Johnson has led the Sooners to the CWS Championship Series since 2022 and the first time he has taken home the crown.  The North Carolina Tarheels (54-14) was one win away from their first national title and finish...

More than 30 teams from the 14U-18U age divisions will head to Fort Myers, Florida this Fourth of July weekend for the seventh annual Perfect Game Freedom Classic. The tournament, running July 3-6, features several nationally ranked prospects from across the country as teams look to compete for a championship. Headlining the field are twin brothers Derek and Ryan Yormark of Merrick, New York. Right-handed pitcher Derek Yormack is the No. 51-ranked player in the class of 2027, the No. 1 player in New York and the No. 5-ranked right-handed pitcher in the country. Championship teams often reveal themselves when the game isn’t going their way. Performance Baseball 2028/Milwaukee Brewers Scout Team did exactly that. Trailing Florida Burn 2028 Scout through four innings, the Brewers refused to panic. Instead, they relied on timely hitting, consistent pitching, and an unselfish approach at the plate, rallying a five-run fifth inning before pulling away for a 9-5 victory to clinch their spot in the semifinals. The comeback was fueled by contributions throughout the lineup. Six different players drove in runs, including two RBIs each from Aiden Capobianco and Cameron Massey, while Matthew Heredia, Parker Weston, Ethan Smith, and Aj Bonnette each added an RBI of their own. JK Select Hawaii capped off an impressive tournament run by defeating GBG Vegas 14u Red14-4 in the championship game on Sunday at Goodyear Ballpark, claiming the 14u West World Series title. From the opening pitch, JK Select controlled the pace of the game. The offense jumped out early, scoring 6 runs in the 1st inning after timely hits from MVP Sean Shindo and Kade Manarpaac. The early lead gave the pitching staff confidence as they worked efficiently through the opposing lineup. “I've worked hard to get better at my game for the past few months; it means a lot that I did well and performed in a tournament like this” said Shindo. Starting pitcher Maddox Prones turned in a strong performance, allowing 3 runs while striking out 5 batters over 3 innings. On the second day of the 2026 Perfect Game National Elite Championship, one swing turned heads across the ballpark. The next one brought everyone to a stop. With Wow Factor Nation 16U trailing midway through its matchup against Sandlot Scout Team 2028, Micheal O'Connor launched a solo home run to spark the offense. Just one batter later, Aaron Frink stepped into the box and sent another ball over the fence, delivering back-to-back home runs that quickly became one of the most talked about moments of the tournament’s opening days. Parents gathered along the nets, players from previous games stopped to watch, and college scouts turned their attention toward the action as the two towering swings energized the crowd and brought new life to the game. Following a jam-packed week of entertainment at the 17u WWBA Championships, the top nationally ranked program, USA Prime 17u National/Detroit Tigers Scout Team, faced off against Stacked Baseball 17u (No. 80 nationally) in the highly anticipated championship matchup as both teams looked to earn one of the most prestigious titles in all of travel baseball. Each talented squad entered the finale undefeated, but Stacked Baseball continued their dominance throughout the tournament, defeating the Detroit Tigers Scout Team 10-2 in mercy rule fashion to become national champions behind explosive bats and impressive pitching. 17u WWBA Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4  Day 5 | Day 6 Shea Corona (2027, Brooklyn, N.Y.) showcased some loud stuff out of the bullpen for MLB Breakthrough Series 2027. The New York native and primary shortstop topped out at 93 with the fastball, sitting comfortable in the 90-92 range. Corona paired it with a sharp and tight slider at 81-83, staying on the same plane until late. The pitch plays well already and the delivery is very athletic. Flames Natty used timely hitting and a dominant start from Beau Collier to defeat NLB American 7-3 and capture the 18U BCS National Championship on Monday at Lee Health Sports Complex. Despite being assembled just hours before the tournament began, the Flames quickly developed chemistry throughout the tournament. “This team was put together 12 hours before this tournament, and they went on a crazy run,” head coach Adam Vasquez said. “These kids know each other locally, but they don’t play together. For them to come together last minute like that, it’s crazy. I’m proud of them for that.” The game opened as a pitchers’ duel, with David Acevedo recording the lone hit through the first two innings.
