Performance Baseball Rolls On

Championship teams often reveal themselves when the game isn’t going their way.

Performance Baseball 2028/Milwaukee Brewers Scout Team did exactly that.



Trailing Florida Burn 2028 Scout through four innings, the Brewers refused to panic. Instead, they relied on timely hitting, consistent pitching, and an unselfish approach at the plate, rallying a five-run fifth inning before pulling away for a 9-5 victory to clinch their spot in the semifinals.

The comeback was fueled by contributions throughout the lineup. Six different players drove in runs, including two RBIs each from Aiden Capobianco and Cameron Massey, while Matthew Heredia, Parker Weston, Ethan Smith, and Aj Bonnette each added an RBI of their own. On the mound, Derek Wenzel set the tone with 3.2 solid innings before Ethan Smith shut the door in relief, helping preserve the comeback victory.

Although the Brewers have had a lot of production from throughout the roster, Kingston Adams has emerged as one of the tournament’s biggest offensive stars. The Nevada native enters the semifinals as the tournaments No. 1 overall performer, a testament to the consistency he has displayed against some of the nation’s top competition.

For Adams, however, the focus has remained simple.

“I am really trying to work to the opposite field with the ball,” Adams said. “Just trying to stay connected with my front shoulder, seeing it well, and hitting my pitch.”

That team-first mindset extends beyond the batter’s box. Despite being known as one of the nation’s top infielders, Adams is willing to contribute wherever his team needs him.

“I will play wherever coach puts me,” Adams said. “I am just glad to be out here hitting, and I am grateful for this opportunity.”

As the Brewers mounted their comeback, that willingness to embrace every role became evident throughout the lineup.

Shortstop Matthew Heredia continued to provide steady production while staying focused on the fundamentals despite competing in front of college scouts and against elite competition.

“With a lot of scouts around and being known as a highly ranked player, there is a lot of tension and good competition around me,” Heredia said. “I just try to stay within myself, make simple plays, and keep the fundamentals.”

His offensive approach reflected the same mentality.

“When there were runners on base, I just think to myself how I need to put the ball in play up the middle and try to score that run around,” Heredia said.

Behind the plate, Capobianco played an equally important role in keeping the Brewers composed during the comeback.

“My coach really preaches on knowing the situation and executing,” Capobianco said. “Knowing what to do with runners in scoring position, finding the gaps, just doing your job, being unselfish, and making sure you get the job done.”

While his bat helped spark the offense, Capobianco also took pride in helping guide the pitching staff through one of the tournament’s biggest games.

“I feel like keeping my teammates on tempo, making sure they are under control and not losing any of the pitches,” Capobianco said. “Talking with them in between innings, making sure they know their locations, and making sure they are dialed in at all times.”

As the Brewers prepare for the semifinals, every player pointed to a similar key moving forward: maintaining the energy that fueled their comeback.

“I think the biggest focus for me will be doing my job with runners in scoring position,” Adams said. “As a team we are doing great. We just need to keep going, keep doing our jobs, and keep throwing strikes.”

Heredia agreed.

“Our biggest focus will be maintaining the energy,” Heredia said. “Keeping our energy high and really getting the bats hot.”

Capobianco believes there is still another level the team can reach.

“The energy has been there, but I can be better,” Capobianco said. “We’ll definitely need it going into the semifinal game.”

He comeback victory over Florida Burn showcased exactly what has made Performance Baseball 2028/Milwaukee Brewers Scout Team so powerful throughout the tournament. Whether it was timely hitting, lockdown pitching, or players embracing whatever role the team needed, the Brewers proved they could respond when the pressure was the highest.

Now, with momentum on their side and a spot in the semifinals secured, the Brewers will look to carry that same resilience into the next challenge as they continue their pursuit of a championship.
