Chandler Murray (2024, Honolulu, Hawaii) earned MVP honors after finishing the tournament with a remarkable 17 hits. The uncommitted first baseman did nothing but find barrels all week long. A simple swing shifts the weight to the backside well and stays balanced throughout. A clean, linear path with good extension out front produces frequent line drives. The approach stays through the middle, allowing Murray to stay on balls well. A strong, physical frame generates quality power that should only continue to show up in-game more regularly. The run-producing ability and consistent barrel accuracy was impressive to watch.
