West WWBA Scout Notes: Day 1

Tait Reynolds (2026, Queen Creek, Ariz.) continues to impress in looks this summer, and Saturday was no different. One of the top talents in the country, Reynolds shot two loud balls to the left-center field gap and showcased his enticing array of tools in the process. Bat speed continues to stand out, matches plane early on a linear path and let’s it work through the zone. Showed some loud jump off the barrel. Breezed around the basepaths with top-end speed, stretching a would-be double into an inside-the-park homerun his first time up. Later doubled to the gap, showing the easy hand speed once again. Range and quickness in center field with arm strength that stands out. Held a runner at third playing a bit shallow on a hop. Reynolds’ tools have really impressed and continue to project going forward with his blend of athleticism and strength in his frame. He’s a name to keep a close eye on in the class.
