Julian Gallegos (2024, Las Cruces, N.M.) continued his impressive offensive success with another quality performance at the plate. The left-handed hitter displayed a mature approach, leading to quality at-bats nearly every time up. Patience and advanced strike zone awareness allows Gallegos to work deep into counts. The ability to recognize spin stands out for the age, as breaking balls were handled with ease. Quick bat speed and feel for the barrel lead to frequently hard hit balls to all fields. Quality torque within the swing helps generate solid power despite a slightly smaller build. It is an impressive offensive skill set from the uncommitted bat that has produced consistently all week long.
