Tomorrow, Sunday August 7, 28 of the top 11u players from around the country will descend upon the East Cobb Complex to partake in the 2nd annual 11u Perfect Game Select Festival as the first pitch is slated for 3:30 pm EST. Only in year two, the 11u Festival has already produced some of the top talent we saw at the 12u level this past circuit as 11 players have graduated from the 11u Festival last summer to this year's 12u game, including the reigning Player of the Year Carter Moon.

Over the course of the spring and summer, the Perfect Game staff gathered names not only from marquee events such as the World Series and Perfect Game Invitational (PGI) but also some of Perfect Game's regional events from throughout the year. As you continue down the article we'll highlight some of the top performers and names to keep an extra sharp eye during Sunday's matinee but before we do, it's important to note that this weekend was about much more than baseball. All 28 players in attendance came together to help raise nearly $30,0000 to benefit the Perfect Game Cares Foundation Grow the Game Fund for underserved youth across America with the West squad's Cash Ericsson (Texas) leading the way with just over $5,100 raised as of this publication.

In last year's inaugural game the East squad took home the victory in rather deciding fashion behind a couple timely hits and big performances on the mound, a result this year's East team look to replicate. Even the quickest of looks reveals a bountiful crop of talent for the reigning victors, lead offensively by the likes of Braiden Miller and his video game-type numbers, Graham Huffstetler who garnered 3 MVP honors this tournament season and barrel machine Kannon Derry and his .585 average while slick fielding shortstop  Lucas Borges will anchor the defense. And if you needed any more reason to think the East might just defend their crown, they also have one of the best arms in the country in Nathan Handley-White who was superb throughout 2022.

That said, the West team is equally as loaded in talent and depth and will look to get in the win column following Sunday's game to even the series at a game apiece. The offense will receive an immediately from having Caleb Klein hitting towards the top, after all, he took home MVP honors from the prestigious 11u PGI earlier this summer after hitting a whopping .714 with 6 doubles and 14 RBI. Texas native Quinn Neal has proven to be a legitimate threat on both sides of the ball following a strong PGI showing of his own, both on the mound from the left side as well as with the bat, while Cameron Hockett brings some Northwest flair to the lineup and should contribute in a variety of ways all over the diamond.

Between the player's fundraising efforts and overall talent on the field, the 2022 11u Perfect Game Select Festival will once again prove to be the premier event of the age group and build off of the success of last year's inaugural game.

Be sure to tune into CBS Sports August 7th at 3:30 pm EST to catch a glimpse at the future of baseball and follow Perfect Game USA and PG Select Festival on all social media platforms for live updates and some behind the scenes looks!
