Quinn Neal is a 2029 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Katy. Large, broad shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.85 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front and works into a clean funnel, some bend at the waist fielding, longer transfer but does a nice job of working on top of the ball with accuracy across the diamond on throws, sound footwork on turns around the bag. Also pitched, full windup on the mound, works to a lower three-quarters release point and filled the strike zone, pitching to contact. Fastball topped out at 73 mph, short natural life to it through the zone given arm slot, tends to slow arm on release of curveball up to 60 mph. Left-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high back elbow in the box, tight hands at start, does a nice job of implementing physical strength to generate big bat speed through the zone and loft at the point of contact. Middle to pull side approach, ball jumps well when on time with sequencing.
