Landon Adkison is a 2029 C/RHP/1B with a 6-0 171 lb. frame from Pflugerville, TX who attends College Station. Lean medium build with lots of time and room to get stronger. 7.60 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, set up in a high side saddle stance, replaced his feet well and moved into his throws, made accurate throws with some young carry. Also worked out at first base and showed good athleticism and some feel for the glove on the dirt, might develop the skills to play third base as well. Left handed hitter, sets up in a medium stance with a short stride into contact, loads his hands tight with little rhythm or separation, has strong hands and handles the barrel well but will need to create some extension/separation to take the next step as his strength comes. Also pitched, works from the stretch with a belt high leg raise and a low 3/4's arm slot, rotational mechanics out front. Fastball topped out at 76 mph and threw strikes, also threw a soft 11/5 curveball. Excellent student.
