Cameron Hockett is a 2029 RHP/3B/IF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Spokane, WA who attends Mount Spokane. Lean, athletic frame with tons of physical upside remaining. Recorded a 7.45 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set. Fields slightly off to the side, gathers cleanly and maintains some momentum into release. Produced accurate, online throws up to 79 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from an abbreviated windup with good tempo into balance and down the slope. Incorporates slight drop-and-drive lower half mechanics and generates easy arm speed. Fastball worked in the 78-81 mph range for most of his outing and topped out at 82 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Strike thrower with tons of intent, landed slurve shaped breaking ball for strikes, while showing some feel to manipulate speed/shape to it at-times. Completed three-pitch mix with a faded changeup that he drops his arm slot on slightly. Confident, attack mentality with more velocity coming. Left-handed hitter that hits from an upright, slightly open base with a high hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Generates good separation into launch, has plenty of present bat speed and impacts it well to the middle-of-the field. Displayed tons of feel for the barrel and is very accurate with delivering it on-time frequently. Huge upside on both sides of the ball that will continue to improve with minor refinements and additional strength. Named to the 2024 13U Perfect Game Select Baseball Festival.
