2018 Top Prospects

Tyler Bassett  RHP - 2018 - Woodstock, GA   Shelton State CC

The Woodstock, GA product utilized a loose, three-quarters arm action while on the mound that produced solid cutting action to arm side in the low to mid 80's, topped at 86 miles per hour. Consistently located down in the strike zone throughout each inning of works and induced weak contact while effectively staying off barrels.

Carson Reeder  RHP - 2018 - Gulf Breeze, FL   Uncommitted

The 6-foot, 195-pound right handed pitched utilized a simple side step delivery while releasing from an over top arm slot. Fastball produced good downward angle through the zone with occasional run topping at 85 miles per hour. Reeder showed a sharp 12/6 breaking ball has is primary off speed that flashed solid swing and miss potential.

Wynston Dyer  1B - 2018 - Columbia, SC   University of South Carolina-Sumter

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound first baseman showing good strength in his swing with the raw bat speed to drive the baseball through the gaps with ease. Dyer consistently barreled the baseball throughout the weekend generating very loud, hard contact with carry to all parts of the field.

Ethan Foley  2B - 2018 - Canton, GA   Reinhardt College

Foley topped at 85 miles per hour during defensive workouts showing smooth, fluid actions while moving to and through the baseball. Offensively, The 6-foot, 175-pound second baseman created hard contact to all fields showing good feel for the barrel throughout the hitting zone.

Christopher Lukas  OF - 2018 - Danielsville, GA   South Georgia College

Lukas displayed smooth, athletic actions in the outfield paired with solid arm strength topping at 84 miles per hour. Posted a 6.83 sixty-yard dash. Offensively, Lukas employed a simple, repeatable swing plane but also flashed the present had speed to turn the barrel to contact with authority.

Jacob Edwards  3B - 2018 - Lawrenceville, GA   Flagler College

Edwards showed smooth, polished actions defensively with a clean release topping at 86 miles per hour across the infield. At the plate, The Lawrenceville native generated good linear shift into contact with his lower half producing present bat speed and strength. Edwards utilized a naturally lifted barrel plane through the hitting zone that generated loud contact when squared.

Andrew Vladyka  OF - 2018 - Jacksonville, NC   Charleston (West Virginia)

The lefthanded hitting catcher consistently threw the barrel to contact showing present strength and bat speed through the zone. When squared, Vladyka produced tight backspin off the barrel that generated very good carry to the pull side gap.

Chris Shepherd  C - 2018 - Durham, NC   Winston-Salem State

Shepherd showed quick feet from behind the plate paired with an clean release producing a best pop time of 1.97. At the plate, the North Carolina native utilized a simple leg lift trigger and an inside barrel path to contact. Shepherd consistently worked to each gap producing good jump off the barrel when squared.
