Ethan Foley is a 2018 2B/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Canton, GA who attends Woodstock HS. Medium frame with a lean build. Projects for additional size with strength. Primary second baseman with clean, fluid footwork while surrounding the baseball. Funnels the baseball out front and worked through exchange well. Flashed solid range to each side while releasing from multiple arm slot. Throws produced stiff on line carry across the infield topping at 85 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance. Simple, inside hand path to contact and showed good feel for the barrel throughout the zone. Primarily worked to the middle of the field on a line but flashed the bat speed and strength to split each gap. Also pitched utilizing a simple leg lift delivery. Stays balanced on back side at gather, tends to land at a slightly closed front side position. Released from a high three-quarters arm slot producing good downward plane with a fastball that topped at 84 miles per hour. Fastball flashed varying cut and run to each side of the plate. Changed speed with an 11/5 breaking ball that flashed late depth when maintaining arm speed throughout extension. Good student. Named to the 2017 Southeast Uncommitted Showcase, Top Prospect List.
