2023 Top Prospects

Jake Molinar  RHP - 2023 - La Mesa, CA
Abilene Christian

Molinar was an intriguing presence on the bump with big upside. The fastball is lively in the low-80s with advanced feel to spin. His curveball and slider are both hard breakers with distinct shape. The split changeup and slight cutter give him an enticing mix that really missed barrels. Awfully impressive performance, bodes well to project.

Jayden Graves  RHP - 2023 - Rsm, CA

Graves was another enticing arm that ran it up to 86 mph with late life to the heat. Sweeping slider was a standout and showed feel for a quality changeup. The athleticism and size is hard to ignore, big upside.

Isaac Gala  OF - 2023 - Antioch, CA
Westmont College

Gala was a big athletic standout, recording 91 mph from the outfield and 83 mph from the infield. Ran a sub-7.00 and the athleticism shows out in several facets. Loose hands at the plate, big arm that can run it up to mid-80s on the bump. Big athletic profile to keep an eye on.

Trevon Jones  OF - 2023 - Brentwood, CA

Jones is another physical, athletic presence that showed up in a huge way. Impressed in outfield and infield drills while running a 6.79 in the sixty. Good intent and strength at impact offensively, lots to build upon.

Ryan Anderson  RHP - 2023 - Solana Beach, CA

Anderson has a really potent two-pitch mix from an athletic body. The fastball has tight arm-side run with feel for a tight, late tilting slider. Real quality arm that works quick and gets down the slope.

Richie Burillo  3B - 2023 - Eastvale, CA
Mt. San Antonio College

Burillo has strength in several facets and uses it both ways. He uncoils with intent and lots of pull-side impact. He can also hop on the bump and offer a potent two-pitch mix. Really solid two-way presence.

Caden Pearlman  LHP - 2023 - Carlsbad, CA

Pearlman is a crafty lefty with some solid stuff on the hill. Feel for a three-pitch mix, good life to a mid-80s fastball with a tight tailing slider and firm changeup. Solid upside, more in the frame long term.

Harrison Park  OF - 2024 - Hacienda Heights, CA

Park had a loud batting practice that translated to game action, sending a loud two-run blast to left field. The hands are packed with strength and intent with easy bat speed and impact strength. It's an athletic profile, 6.88 runner with some juice.

Max Adolph  RHP - 2024 - Valley Center, CA

Adolph is an enticing two-way with good upside on the bump. Looser arm stroke lived low-80s and mixed in plenty of funk with a four-pitch mix. Changeup is a fading weapon with feel for a curveball/slider mix. Solid profile and 6.76 runner.

Costes was a big in-game performer, physical catcher with a pretty loud stick. hands get deep and work the barrel. Strong set of hands connect for loud pull-side contact. Good momentum and transfer behind the dish, as well.

Jaylen Thomas  C - 2024 - San Pedro, CA

Thomas found a couple loud extra-base hits and showed athletic traits behind the dish. Good exchange and momentum with strength that plays to all fields. Solid upside in the stick as he continues to fill out.


2025 Top Prospects

Angel Laya  OF - 2025 - San Diego, CA
Oregon

Laya oozes athleticism and has tools that can really develop. Recorded 91 mph from the outfield and the athleticism really shows in actions and throws. He found multiple hits from a looser lefty swing with easy hand speed and ability to manipulate the barrel to all fields. Lots to project upon going forward.

Kaij Ordaz  3B - 2025 - Chula Vista, CA

Ordaz made his presence felt with a loud pull-side homer over the left field fence. Aggressive swings. Lots of intent in the path and can rotates the hips well. Creates good strength out front with big time impact off the barrel. Power showed in a big way and can hop on the bump and offer some two-way potential.

Rechs stood out with his defensive feel up the middle and quality mix on the hill. The defensive actions and glove showed amongst his age group. Also recorded an outfield assist from left field where the arm shines. Solid two-way as well with a fastball/curveball mix.
