Jake Molinar is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from La Mesa, CA who attends The Bishop's. Lean, athletic build with long limbs that bode well for physical projection at the next level. Ran a 6.99 in the 60-yard dash. Right-handed pitcher, starts with the heel off the rubber working a windup into a higher three-quarter slot. Real downhill and athletic intent down the mound, good extension from a drop-and-drive delivery. Quick arm, loose arm circle produced a low-80s fastball and cutter with distinct action to both. Showed feel for a real tight 11-5 curveball that has advanced shape and depth. Can also throw a hard biting slider with late horizontal bite and flashed a splitter with late dive. Real feel to spin and can be an impactful arm as he continues to fill out and add strength. Arm strength also showed in outfield drills from a confident charge. Good carry to the bag in a consistent round. Excellent student.
