Gavin Dassau (2023 RHP, Slidell, LA) showed some impressive pop in the game today. He roped a 2B into centerfield, showing a good line drive swing plane with some lift. Gavin had a quiet stance with a patient approach at the plate, quick hands and controls the barrel. 

Grant Norton (2022 C, Deatsville, AL) was all over the pathways in the game today. He racked up two singles in the game, showing lots of hustle out of the box and around the bases. Grant showed a line drive approach with slight lift in the swing, has feel to consistently barrel up the baseball.

Sam Silas (2023 SS, Deatsville, AL) tripled in this afternoon for the green team. Silas has an advanced approach at the plate with pop in his bat and hits the ball where it's pitched. 

Brandon Webb (2023 C, Denham Springs, LA) had two hits today including doubling in his first at bat. Webb shows good bat speed at the plate with a line drive swing plane and the ability to square the ball up consistently.

Matthew Kitchens (2023 OF/RHP, Pike Road, AL) topped out at 76mph on his fastball mixing in a curveball at 64mph and a changeup at 64mph as well. Kitchens attacks hitters with his fastball doing a good job of keeping the ball down in the zone. 

Rives Reynolds (2023 OF/RHP, Flowood, MS) sat 77-80mph on his fastball with his curveball at 67mph. Reynolds did a good job of getting ahead of hitters while mixing in his curveball for strikes.

Randy Davis (2023 LHP, Deatsville, AL) sat 71-76mph on his fastball mixing in his curveball at 61mph and his changeup at 65mph. Davis showed command of his pitches doing a good job of keeping the ball down in the zone and attacked hitters with his fastball. 

Caleb Campbell (2022 C, Killen, AL) made solid contact all day this morning. Campbell showed a confident approach at the plate with a level swing. 

Walker Sanders (2023 OF, Lamar, MS) had a good showing at the plate in his teams first game of the day. Sanders showed an aggressive approach at the plate with bat speed while showing good speed on the bases. 
Batting Practice Highlights

Caleb Campbell (2022 C, Killen, AL): Campbell showed the ability to drive the ball into the air, doing a good job of creating leverage and flashing jump on a line. He projects well for power moving forward.

Chandler Pollard (2022 SS, Winston, GA): Pollard showed an excellent combo of present bat speed and projectable strength, getting the barrel out on time and squaring up the ball consistently.

Jax Yoxtheimer (2023 OF, Smiths Station, AL): Yoxtheimer showed good ability to repeat relatively complex swing mechanics, doing a good job getting the barrel out and squaring the ball up on a line with good jump off the bat. 

Gavin Dassau (2023 RHP, Slidell, LA): Dassau showed quality bat speed with good lower half incorporation into his swing, doing a nice job of getting the ball into the air on a well-struck line. 

Cooper Pratt (2023 SS, Oxford, MS): Pratt shows the ability to move the barrel around the zone and consistently square the ball up, and he'll continue to drive the ball with more and more authority as he physically matures. 

Matthew Kitchens (2023 OF, Pike Road, AL): Kitchens took a very professional round of BP, wearing out the middle of the field on a firm line and doing a nice job of working to all fields with advanced hit-ability. 

Rives Reynolds (2023 OF, Flowood, MS): Reynolds took one of the best rounds of the 14u event, consistently generating leverage and driving the ball into the air with bat speed and strength, projecting both as a hitter and in terms of power in a big way.

Myles Gordon (2023 OF, Stockbridge, GA) tripled in his final at bat of the day today. Gordon showed bat speed with quick wrists and did a good job of turning on an inside pitch for his triple. 

Drew Diamond (2024 RHP, Hattiesburg, MS) sat 74-77mph on his fastball with his curveball at 63mph. Diamond did a good job of mixing in his pitches keeping hitters off-balance and hitting his spots. 

Hudson Mattox (2023 3B, Grenada, MS) tripled in his final at bat of the day today. Mattox has quick hands at the plate with a smooth swing and an aggressive approach at the plate.

Caleb Campbell (2022 C, Killen, AL) doubled and singled in his two at bats this afternoon. Campbell is a gap to gap hitter with pop with bat speed and has a good approach at the plate. 

Sam Silas (2023 SS, Deatsville, AL) tripled in his last at bat this afternoon. Silas showed an aggressive approach at the plate with a level swing and has bat speed. 

Rives Reynolds (2023 OF, Flowood, MS) doubled in his at bat today. Reynolds has a quick barrel through the zone with quick wrists. 

Luke Robinson (2023 SS, Brandon, MS) doubled in his at bat this afternoon. Robinson has a nice easy swing at the plate with a good approach.

Walker Sanders (2023 OF, Lamar, MS) doubled this afternoon. Sanders has a short compact swing with a sound approach at the plate and drove the ball to the LCF gap for his double. 

Benjamin Arn (2023 1B, Madison, AL) doubled and singled in his teams game today. Arn showed bat speed at the plate with a line drive swing plane with pop.
