Orange vs Purple Game Highlights

1/15/2024

Samuel Finn (2026 1B, Naperville, IL) is a strong, 6-foot-2, 170-pound left hander that showed plenty of things to like on the mound. He worked 80-83 mph with his fastball and proved to be difficult to hit for the opposition. He flashed a big curveball with healthy 1-7 shape and 2,400+ RPMs, as well as a harder, low 70's sweeper.

Jackson Heinlen (2027 RHP, Manhattan, IL) has long levers in his 5-foot-10, 135-pound frame, and there is plenty of room to fill moving forward. He uses his length well, showing a fastball up to 80 mph with some life through the zone. He flashed good feel for his changeup, which he pronates as well.

Chase Holtzman (2026 3B, Plainfield, IL) ran his fastball up to 80 mph in this one, displaying a compact arm with some life to it. He pounded the zone during his outing, showing good feel for his release point. He also flashed a tight curveball that missed bats and had good depth to it.

Nolan Lebert (2026 SS, Mascoutah, IL) showed some promise on the mound, as he worked up to 82 mph on the fastball. The pitch got on hitters quickly, showing good ride through the zone with some arm side run to it. He also flashed a slider with sweeping action. In his last at bat of the day, he added a sharply-hit double down the line, showing quick hands at the plate.

Braylon McNair (2025 1B, Chicago, IL) was impressive on both sides of the ball in today's contest. The 6-foot-4, 170-pounder put a good swing on one early in the game, elevating it to centerfield and showing some bat speed. On the bump, he ran his fastball up to 84 mph from a high slot, and flashed a curveball near 2,300 RPMs.

Black vs Columbia Blue Game Highlights

1/15/2024

Josh Colaizzi (2026 OF, Bartlett, IL) produced some of the loudest contact of the day, crushing one to left field. He elevated with ease, showing a compact swing with strength and bat speed. He also worked through a quick and efficient inning on the mound, running the fastball up to 82 mph and striking out two of the three hitters he faced.

Aidan Dillon (2027 LHP, Tinley Park, IL) was uber effective in his two innings on the bump today, pounding the zone with a 77-79 mph fastball and showing good feel for all three of his pitches. The left-hander flashed a tumbling low 70's changeup that he killed spin on, as well as a bigger, 1-7 shaped breaking ball.

Aadden Guerrero (2025 SS, Lagrange, IL) had a nice day at the park, showing potential on both sides of the ball. The right-handed hitter started things off with a sharply-hit single to the opposite field. Then he hopped on the mound, working up to 81 mph with a high-spin slider that showed lateral depth.

Tyler Gluting (2027 LHP, Aurora, IL) worked 81-83, topping out at 84 mph on his fastball today. He flashed a bigger, 1-7 shaped curveball that he mixed in well and missed bats with. The left-hander is an athletic mover on the mound with a clean operation, and there are plenty of projectable traits here moving forward.

Patrick Vance (2025 C, Kalamazoo, MI) found himself a loud barrel in this one. The primary catcher has a sturdy and physical 5-foot-11, 180-pound frame, and he created definite leverage on this swing. He elevated with ease and showed strength at the point of contact, as he lifted one to deep left field.

Batting Practice Highlights

1/15/2024

Derrick Holmes (2025 2B, South Holland, IL) showed nice athletic ability at the plate and pairs a short, direct swing with fast hands that allows him to generate easy power into the gaps.  He does a nice job of staying on time and consistently repeating his swing.

Gael Urbieta (2025 C, Chicago, IL) is a physical athlete that uses all of his present strength at the plate.  He has a slightly uphill swing that allows him to leverage the ball deep into the gaps and looks to punish any pitch left over the inner half of the plate.

Dominic Bonilla (2025 SS, Chicago, IL) stays relaxed at the plate and features a simple swing that is easily repeated.  He does a nice job of letting the ball travel before attacking pitches and sending them into the opposite field gap.

Alexander Clark (2024 OF, Glencoe, IL) showed the ability to cause the ball to jump off of his bat when he was on time and made contact out in front of the plate.  He has strong hands and hits the ball hard to all parts of the field.

Dylan Kassab (2026 C, Hinsdale, IL) is a strong athlete that uses all of his power at the plate, pairing a compact swing with fast, strong hands.  This combination allows him to track the ball well before driving it with force into the gaps.

Liam Arsich (2025 OF, Mokena, IL) is quick to the ball with his short swing which allows him to barrel up pitches in any part of the zone.  He does a nice job of getting on plane and staying through the pitch, allowing him to drive the ball to all parts of the field.

Aadden Guerrero (2025 SS, Lagrange, IL) is able to get the barrel on plane early in his swing and is consistently on time.  He repeats his swing will and makes hard, line drive contact into the gaps, depending on which part of the plate the pitch is at.

Ethan (E.T.) Data (2027 3B, Chicago, IL) does not waste any time at the plate, attacking pitches in the middle of the zone and driving them hard back up the middle.  He has the ability to track the ball well and hammers it wherever it is pitched.

Gavin Triezenberg (2025 SS, Palos Heights, IL) has a power hitters frame and showed the ability to crush balls when he is on time and out in front of the plate.  He is able to create nice back spins on his line drives which allows the ball to travel into the gaps.

Samuel Finn (2026 1B, Naperville, IL) does a nice job of staying on pitches and letting the outside pitches travel deep into the hitting zone before jumping all over them.  He has a strong build and utilizes this strength well in his swing.

Noah Delgado (2025 OF, Northbrook, IL) does a nice job of engaging his lower half in his swing which allows him to generate easy power.  He has an up-the-middle approach and showed the barrel control to handle any pitch.

Nolan Lebert (2026 SS, Mascoutah, IL) was a model of consistency at the plate during his round, sending line drive after line drive to the back of the cage.  He does a nice job of staying on balance and working through the baseball with his lower half.

Andrew Lim (2025 OF, Skokie, IL) used his fast hands to generate nice power at the plate today during his round.  He has a simple swing and is able to consistently get the barrel to the ball and hitting it square to all parts of the field.

Braylon McNair (2025 1B, Chicago, IL) showed real power potential at the plate today, driving the ball deep into the gap.  He has a tall frame with present strength and room to add even more strength as he continues to develop.
