Gavin Coughlin is a 2026 C/RHP, 3B, SS, MIF, OF, UT with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Savage, MN who attends Academy Of Holy Angels. Recorded a 7.04 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame with some strength. Primary catcher works from a side straddle stance with quick twitch footwork. Gains some ground with a clean transfer and a max-effort arm action with some carry and accuracy to the bag. Recorded a top pop time of 1.96 seconds. Secondary outfielder starts with fundamental footwork to the ball and fields it out front with decent athleticism. Longer arm action through the back with some velocity and carry to the throws with one-hop accuracy. Recorded throws up to 86 during drills. Also threw an inning on the mound. The right-handed pitcher works from a belt-high leg lift. Violent with his drive down the mound and extends down the slope. Delivers from a three- quarter arm slot with a release that hides the ball well back in the delivery. The fastball (2180 RPM) was 80-82 and had some arm-side run when he throws it to the arm-side. The curveball (1951 RPM) was low 70s with 11-5 shape and good depth to it. Also showed a change-up (1849 RPM) that was mid-70s with some depth on it. The right-handed hitter works from a wide base with even hands and an even back elbow, utilizes a simple toe lift trigger. Good hip turn with some weight shift and connectivity to the swing. Put balanced, level swings on the baseball with a gap-to-gap approach. Solid, fundamentally sound round that projects well. Exciting young player with upside on both sides of the ball.
