Jake Jones (2023 C, Benton, AR) has lots of strength for a '23 and is a switch-hitter as well. He was much stronger from the left side in batting practice Friday nice bat speed and lots of power projection that would be helped by a lower hand set to start his swing.
Tyler Hernandez (2020 1B, Frisco, TX) is another big and strong hitter who showed his power and bat speed well from the left side. The 6-1/210 senior to be worked mostly in the middle of the field with lots of carry and one-hopped the centerfield fence on one of the hardest hit balls of the day.
Anthony Rios (2021 3B, Keller, TX) has strong hips for his size and age and really fires them hard to create bat speed. He gets very coiled into his swing and explodes out of it with good timing that produced nice raw bat speed and loud line drive contact.
Sterling Sutcliffe (2020 SS, Dallas, TX) has a nice 6-2/186 build and a loose left handed swing with present bat speed and more to come. He fired his hips well and showed carry up the right centerfield gap with good lift in his swing.
Jack Hanson (2020 OF, San Antonio, TX) had one of the best swings and best rounds of any hitter Friday. He's a 6-1/180 right handed hitter who looks bigger and stronger than listed and had a loose and extended line drive swing that produced very consistent line drive contact.
Caden Roeschen (2022 OF, Wylie, TX) has some strength in his young 5-9/165 build and does a very nice job of exploding his hands at the ball with quickness and strength. The left hander's swing is short but strong and can make the ball jump.
Collin Young (2020 OF, Magnolia, TX) took a very consistent round of BP, hammering line drive after line drive to left field, turning on balls hard with a loose pull-oriented swing with good bat speed from a spread stance.
Andrew Cates (2020 C, Waco, TX) has a big and strong 6-1/225 build and lots of power potential. The ball comes off his barrel hard and he showed better than expected timing from a busy load that gave him good rhythm in his overall swing approach.
Zane Raba (2020 OF, San Antonio, TX) showed nice left handed bat speed and the ability to drive the baseball when he got his barrel and hands out and turned the barrel through contact. The 5-11/180 athlete has good present strength with room for more.
Will Thomas (2020 OF, The Woodlands, TX) has nice quick hands from the left side and a high average approach that produced lots of line drives to mid-field and the pull side. He'll continue to improve as he adds strength to his 5-11/160 frame.
Austin Hunter (2021 LHP, Houston, TX) showed some of the best raw power of the day. The strong 6-1/195 primary left handed pitcher has a loose and strong swing with power and looked like a two-way prospect based on his batting practice.
Andy Neal (2023 C, Grapevine, TX) is extremely strong for a '23 and is able to overpower the ball from the right side, creating lots of lift and power. He'll be able to get to that power more often with a simpler and better timed front foot load.
Dillon McKee (2020 SS, Lago Vista, TX) has plenty of strength in his 6-2/197 build and good bat speed out front to drive the ball. His challenge will be to get better timing with his lower half before firing his hands.
Luke Hill (2022 3B, Port Allen, LA) was timed up from the first pitch with a simple and loose right handed swing. He has a projectable young 5-10/155 build and is going to keep improving over his last two years of high school as he physically matures and gets stronger.
Bryce Johnson (2021 3B, Fairview, TX) has a tall and athletic 6-4/200 build and a simple right handed swing approach that enables him to repeat his swing and keep it short for his length. He's very strong and well leveraged right now and has plenty of room to get stronger.
Grayson Hawley (2021 OF, Willow Park, TX) has a strong 5-10/180 build and a short and quick swing that produced plenty of bat speed and juice. He drove both alleys with some carry while staying simple and on time in his approach.
Caleb Heuertz (2020 SS, San Angelo, TX) had a very nice fundamental swing with good timing and nice loose extension through the ball. His round produced almost all squared up line drives and showed him to probably be a high average hitter.
Garrett Williams (2021 OF, Forney, TX) hits from a spread left handed swing approach and shows quick hands that have some strength in them as well. He got timed up quickly and projects to keep adding bat speed as he fills out his 6-1/175 frame.
Kyler Heyne (2020 RHP, Frisco, TX) was one of the best hitting pitcher's of the day, showing nice pull power potential and an aggressive right handed swing approach.
Stephen Ranieri (2021 OF, Highland Village, TX) has a loose and smooth Right handed swing with good bat speed. He got consistent jump off the barrel through his round with line drive pull contact.
Kendall Dove (2023 SS, New Caney, TX) has lots of growing to do to fill in his slender 5-10/135 build but has wide hips for his age and plenty off room to add strength. He was a switch-hitter with a loose and well timed swing from both sides and a bit more bat speed from the right side.
Juan Garcia (2021 SS, Round Rock, TX) has a very projectable 6-2/160 build and a nice quick swing when he gets his front foot down in time. He's going to keep adding bat speed as he fills out physically.
Mohamed Harati (2020 SS, Houston, TX) had some of the bet raw bat speed of the day, with a very aggressive move into contact from the right side and hard lower half rotation. If he can barrel the ball up enough in games, he's doing to do some damage with that bat speed.
Lane Brewster (2021 OF, League City, TX) has some strength to add to his young 5-10/165 frame but has a nice swing base from the left side to build from. He was well timed from the first pitch in his load and shift and squared the ball up well to all fields.
Matthew Branch (2020 C, Grand Prairie, TX) is one of the bigger players at the showcase at 6-1/245 but has a very loose and extended swing for his size and some serious pull side lift and carry. Adding future strength, unlike the large majority of the young players here, one of his top priorities.
Jackson Knox (2021 MIF, Georgetown, TX) has good strength on his athletic 5-11/175 frame, especially in his hips and core. He produced solid right handed bat speed and drove the ball well from a deep hand load.
Izaiah Ayala (2021 RHP, Diamond Bar, CA) is another right handed pitcher who took a nice BP and showed hitting tools. He has a nice fundamental swing with good present bat speed and some pull side power.
Weston Peninger (2020 C, Flower Mound, TX) needs to add strength to his 6-3/175 build, especially to stay behind the plate, but he has a very nice and well timed swing to build from if he can get stronger. He flashes just enough whip in the barrel to let you know more is there potentially.
