Reid Jacob is a 2023 OF/UT with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Lucas, TX who attends Lovejoy. Medium frame with a lean athletic build. Good runner, ran a 6.86 in the spring. Primary outfielder, good athlete at the position, takes efficient angles to work behind the ball, good carrying momentum through receiving and into release, slightly uphill out of hand and gains enough ground to let arm strength play well. Right-handed hitter, wide base and short simple move in, lots of quickness to his process and really fast hands, fires the hips well and creates real torque, has the barrel out front consistently and impressed with the amount of hard liners to the pull side. Very good student.
