2020 Top Prospects

Ryan Targac  SS - 2020 - Hallettsville, TX
Texas A&M

Targac has a very impressive 6-1/190 build that is present strong and coordinated. He will be able to play both infield and outfield at the next level and is also a switch hitter, where he shows a better swing and more bat speed from the left side. He is a Texas A&M commit.

Zachary Easterling  RHP - 2020 - Spring, TX
Texas A&M

Easterling is a 6-3/195 primary pitcher who is up to 87 mph on the mound but he looked like a better outfield prospect at this event. He's a 6.94 runner with lots of arm strength and is a left handed hitter with present bat speed and lots of power potential.

David Valoy Jr  C - 2020 - Arlington, TX
Grambling State

Valoy was a standout both offensively and defensively. He popped a 1.87 with game actions during drills while showing flexibility and athleticism behind the plate. The 5-11/205 right handed hitter has an easy low effort swing approach with bat speed and power at the plate.

Jackson Duke  C - 2020 - Midlothian, TX
Southern Arkansas

Duke is a very versatile prospect who showed next level tools both behind the plate and in the infield on defense, along with 84 mph arm strength off the mound. A present strong 5-11/200 athlete, Duke has right handed bat speed and can put a charge into the ball when turning the barrel.

Jaren Warwick  RHP - 2020 - New Caney, TX
Texas A&M/Alvin CC

Warwick has an athletic and projectable 6-2/160 build and a deceptive delivery with a long and whippy arm action. He threw up to 85 mph with his fastball and had a late and tight 75 mph slider that was his swing and miss pitch.

Tyler Renfro  RHP - 2020 - Conroe, TX

The 6-1/190 Renfro went at hitters aggressively with two solid present pitches in a fastball that reached 85 mph and a tight 11/5 curveball that he should very good feel for. Renfro's delivery is loose and smooth and he is a strike thrower.

Jarrett Tadlock  SS - 2020 - Manvel, TX
Hill College

Tadlock is a well rounded middle infielder with the tools to play at the next level. He ran a 6.99 sixty, showed polished actions in the middle infield with some arm strength and carry on his throws and a short and simple middle of the field line drive approach at the plate.

Colby Cooke  LHP - 2020 - Spring, TX
Texas State

Cooke showed nice two way ability as both a left handed pitcher and a left handed hitting outfielder. He was up to 84 mph on the mound with good feel for his curveball and change up from an easy delivery. He also really hit the ball hard both in games and batting practice, with present power and bat speed.

Tyler Lund  OF - 2020 - Tomball, TX
Shawnee State University

Lund is a left handed hitter with a strong and compact build and plenty of raw bat speed and power potential. He uses his lower half especially well in his swing and is looking to drive the ball hard somewhere.

Hunter Henderson  RHP - 2020 - McKinney, TX

Henderson has a projectable 6-4/195 build and a fast paced high leg raise delivery that has some deception to it. He topped out at 84 mph on his fastball and showed three solid secondary pitches in a curveball, slider and change up that he could use to mix it up more often.

Ryan Schlotzhauer  LHP - 2020 - Missouri City, TX
Hutchinson CC

Schlotzhauer is a 6-3/165 southpaw with good arm speed and an idea how to pitch. His threw up to 85 mph with good arm side running action and showed the ability to mix in a curveball and change up with it. He projects to keep getting better.

Lance Little  1B - 2020 - Georgetown, TX
Western Texas College

Little's tool is his right handed bat. He's very strong at 6-1/200 and has present bat speed and the ability to hit the ball out of the part from foul pole to foul pole, although he actually gets better carry to right centerfield than to the pull side due to his ability to backspin the ball in that direction.

Monray Van Der Walt  C - 2020 - Fulshear, TX
Lamar

Van Der Walt is an usual athletic ability for a catcher, with 6.82 speed in the sixty and lots of bounce and quickness in his defensive actions. He has a sound fundamental swing with developing bat speed and plenty of projection as a hitter.

Aaron Munson  OF - 2020 - San Antonio, TX

Munson is a two-way talent as a left handed hitter and a right handed pitcher. His swing is quick and short with an approach that will enable him to keep improving as he adds strength to his 5-10/155 frame. He was up to 86 mph on the mound from a high 3/4's arm slot with good feel for a low 70's curveball.

St. Edward’s

Garcia is a 5-9/160 southpaw with fast paced and deceptive delivery that he repeats well and three solid pitches he can mix up and use to get hitters out. His fastball topped out at 86 mph, to go with a low 70's curveball and change up.

Tyler Douglas  OF - 2020 - Spring, TX
Davidson

Douglas is a solid all around athlete with running speed and a solid outfield throwing arm. His best tool is his left handed bat speed and aggressive approach at the plate, which leads to hard contact and plenty of power potential.

Callum Burton  SS - 2020 - Spring, TX
Blinn College

Burton is a very sound fundamental player with some quick twitch athleticism and good all around tools. He ran a 6.88 in the sixty, threw 84 mph across the infield while showing range and body control in the middle infield and had a very repeatable gap to gap line drive approach at the plate.

Hunter Simmons  3B - 2020 - Mansfield, TX
Howard College

Simmons showed two-way prospect tools, as a strong 6-0/190 right handed hitter with lift and power in his swing along with being up to 85 mph on the mound with a sharp 70 mph breaking ball.


2021 Top Prospects

Zachery Mack  1B - 2021 - Manvel, TX
San Jacinto CC

The 6-3/203 Mack had some of the best right handed bat speed at the event with some adjustments he can make to even add more in the future. The ball really comes off his barrel hard and that ability to drive the ball will play at the next level.

Chase Spencer  SS - 2021 - Plano, TX
Air Force

Spencer is a slender 6-0/155 middle infielder with a chance to really improve if he can get stronger. He's a 7.02 runner with very nice defensive actions and plenty of present arm strength. A right handed hitter, Spencer uses his hands very well to generate bat speed and squared everything up in BP and in games.

Derek Brieden  RHP - 2021 - Conroe, TX
Texas at Dallas

Brieden showed three good pitches in a fastball up to 85 mph, a 77 mph cutter that was often his best pitch and a low 70's sweeping curveball. The projectable 6-2/168 athlete has a simple and uncomplicated delivery that will ensure he throws plenty of strikes.

Jack Beiter  C - 2021 - Austin, TX
John Carroll University

Beiter is a present strong athlete whose best tool is his left handed bat. He hit the ball with authority in both batting practice and games with a well executed pull and lift approach and home run power.

Dylan Rogers  RHP - 2021 - McKinney, TX
Air Force

Rogers has a projecctable 6-2/170 build and sound mechanics that he repeats well. He worked up to 84 mph with good downhill angle to his pitches and showed he could spin the ball with a cutter and slurve type breaking ball.

Jacob Stephens  OF - 2021 - Plano, TX

Stephens is a very good young athlete with a 6-0/185 build that has some present strength and plenty of projection. He ran a 6.99 while throwing 88 mph from the outfield and has a short right handed swing with some bat speed and more to come.

Ivan Brethowr  OF - 2021 - Olathe, KS
Arizona State

Brethowr has big right handed power in his 6-4/200 build that showed itself both in batting practice and in games. He might outgrow the catcher's position but he's athletic and flexible behind the plate now with a quick release on his throws.

Ethan Medlin  OF - 2021 - Lake Charles, LA

The Barbe HS (LA) sophomore has a nice range of tools, from quick hands and bat speed and an all fields line drive approach at the plate to 7.00 speed to a strong and projectable throwing arm.


2022 Top Prospects

Trey Duffield  OF - 2022 - Houston, TX
Rice

Duffied has an outstanding 6-3/180 build for a freshman and a loose arm action with a smooth delivery and a quick arm that projects. He was up to 85 mph on his fastball with good depth and bite on his curveball and filled up the strike zone.

Jacob Sullens  OF - 2022 - Keller, TX
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi

Sullens has a nice 6-0/170 build with plenty of raw strength for his age. He's a right handed hitter who really gets coiled and loaded well at the plate so he can unleash that strength through his barrel and projects plus power. He also threw 85 mph from the outfield and 82 mph off the mound.

Trent Caram  RHP - 2022 - Houston, TX
Lamar

Caram's 6-2/185 build for a freshman stands out. He showed two especially promising tools in his right handed power that highlighted his present strength and in his arm strength, which produced fastballs up to 82 mph on the mound with more to come.

Wilson Woodcox  RHP - 2022 - Houston, TX

Woodcox has good present strength at 6-0/190 and two solid pitches he can throw strikes with in a fastball up to 84 mph and in a 68-72 mph curveball that had good depth and bite to it. He mixed his pitches well and showed maturity on the mound.

Damian Bravo  SS - 2022 - Haltom City, TX
Texas Tech

Bravo has a long and projectable build and very impressive right handed bat speed for a freshman. He was also up to 82 mph on the mound and showed his speed well on the bases to highlight his overall athleticism.

Justin Vossos  SS - 2022 - Missouri City, TX
Texas A&M

Vossos has solid tools as a middle infielder, with 7.22 speed, good side to side athleticism and balance and a big throwing arm that could become his standout tool.

Matthew Whitting  C - 2022 - Bellaire, TX
Blinn College

Whitting has lots of growing to do but he's a solid athlete with good baseball actions in all areas. He has a good loose swing at the plate, flexible and quick actions behind the plate and performed well in the games.

Kolby Branch  SS - 2022 - Lucas, TX
Georgia

Branch's best tool is his right handed bat; he has quick hands and present bat speed with a strong pull side approach that generates plenty of carry on the ball, especially for a freshman.
