2018 Top Prospects

Justin Tucker  RHP - 2018 - Renton, WA
Uncommitted

Tucker topped out at 85 mph on his fastball but his best pitch was a mid-70's slider that was tight and big and completely over matched the hitters consistently. He has some deception in his high energy delivery but pounded the strike zone with three pitches.

William Pawlosky  RHP - 2018 - Mercer Island, WA
Uncommitted

Pawlosky has a nice 6-3/190 athletic build that still has room to grow and three solid pitches that he has good command of in an 82 mph fastball, a tight spinning upper 60's curveball and a change up.

2019 Top Prospects

Will Simpson  1B - 2019 - Sammamish, WA
University of Washington

Simpson was likely the strongest player at the event at a chiseled 6-3/205 and that strength really showed well in his right handed bat speed. He crushed some balls to the middle of the field and can really get the ball to jump hard.

Brady Boyle  OF - 2019 - San Antonio, TX
Clarendon College

The 6-1/210 Boyle came all the way to the Northwest from Texas and we're glad he did. The left handed hitter showed two big tools in his bat speed and power potential, plus a strong right field throwing arm.

Daniel Furman  OF - 2019 - Olympia, WA
Uncommitted

Furman was the defensive standout of the showcase with his range and strong arm in centerfield and he plays the game hard and with emotion. The 5-7 athlete also surprised when he came into pitch and filled up the strike zone with 83-84 mph fastballs.

Dawson Baracani  3B - 2019 - Sammamish, WA
Mesa CC

Baracani may have been the best overall hitter at the showcase, as he consistently showed the ability to square up the ball hard and with power both in batting practice and in games. He's a calm right handed hitter in his approach but explodes his hands well into the ball.

Jonas Kim  OF - 2019 - Puyallup, WA
University of Puget Sound

Kim is a projectable young athlete with graceful and balanced actions both offensively and defensively. He profiles as a third baseman at the next level and his right handed bat speed should continue to improve as he gets stronger.

Luke Tanner  SS - 2019 - Los Angeles, CA
Northwestern

Tanner was by far the fastest runner at the showcase, turning in a 6.74 sixty. He also showed plenty of handed bat speed with quick hands and an aggressive approach.

Layton Wagner  3B - 2019 - Boise, ID
Uncommitted

Wagner is a strong 5-11/205 athlete and has a short right handed swing with good bat speed. He wore out the right centerfield gap during both batting practice and the games. He also threw up to 82 mph off the mound.

David Ater  OF - 2019 - Tacoma, WA
Uncommitted

Ater has a slender and very projectable 6-1/170 build and plenty of present tools, including 7.10 speed in the sixty, a strong arm that registered 85 mph from the outfield and 83 mph from the mound, plus plenty of right handed bat speed.

Matthew Schwarz  SS - 2019 - Greenacres, WA
Lower Columbia College

Schwartz is a solid all around athlete with a short and quick right handed swing that's going to generate plenty of line drive contact, plus smooth and polished defensive actions in the middle of the field.

Colby Knutzen  RHP - 2019 - Blaine, WA
Uncommitted

Knutzen topped out at 82 mph from a drop and drive delivery and attacked hitters aggressively with his fastball. His best pitch was a 70 mph curveball with sharp biting action that generated lots of swing and misses.

Danny Burns  SS - 2019 - Meridian, ID
Yakima Valley CC

Burns is a middle infielder with smooth actions and an accurate arm but also has a strong right handed bat that especially showed itself well in games.

2020 Top Prospects

Durham Sundberg  OF - 2020 - Gresham, OR
Uncommitted

Sundberg has a very projectable 6-2/180 build and already runs a 6.94 sixty and shows good outfield actions and arm strength for his age. His right handed swing is strong and projects power as well.

Peter King  OF - 2020 - Gig Harbor, WA
San Jose State

King is a young athlete with a nice combination of speed and arm strength in the outfield. He also has a strong left handed swing with some present bat speed that will keep growing as he gets stronger.

Zane Skansi  SS - 2020 - Gig Harbor, WA
Utah

Skansi has very nice well balanced actions in the middle infield, with mature footwork and soft hands at the ball and should continue to grow as a defender as he gets stronger and faster. He also showed his athleticism by getting into the mid-70's both left handed and right handed on the mound.

2021 Top Prospects

Crosby Albee  OF - 2021 - Salem, OR
Uncommitted

The 6-0/185 Albee is very strong for a freshman and it shows in his right handed bat, which has present bat speed and plenty of lift out front for future power. He has smooth and fluid actions on defense as well.
