2021 Top Prospects

Lucas Torres  C - 2021 - Cayey, PR
Alabama State

Torres made the trip up from Puerto Rico and impressed all over the diamond with his athleticism and arm strength. After running a 7.09 60-yard Torres threw an event best 89 mph from the outfield and also topped out at 87 mph on the mound while showing loose hands in the box with comfort hitting to his pull side.

Tracy Mitchem  OF - 2021 - Windermere, FL
Tulane

Mitchem and his lefthanded swing stood out over the weekend as it's an easy one overall and one he's able to create plenty of present bat speed with. His swing is simple and easy to repeat with lots of jump to his pull side and leverage to his path justas he showed in game. he was also up to 80 mph on the mound.

James Triantos  SS - 2021 - McLean, VA
North Carolina

A primary righthanded pitcher, Triantos opened eyes while on the mound with a true three-pitch mix which included a fastball up to 86 mph and a hard breaker. He's a two-way prospect though with smooth defense actions and looks to do damage with his righthanded swing.

2022 Top Prospects

Luke Heyman  C - 2022 - Longwood, FL
Florida

Heyman proved there wasn't much he couldn't do on the diamond this weekend, impressing in all facts. A long and projectable 6-foot-3, Heyman showed arm strength all over the diamond including on the mound (up to 85 mph) though it was his righthanded bat with which he did nothing but find the barrel and collect hard contact and extra base hits.

Elijah Green  OF - 2022 - Windermere, FL
Miami

Looking stronger than his listed 6-foot, 160-pounds on his profile, Elijah Green has that chance to develop into a big talent, especially given the tools he already shows. After posting a 6.78 in the 60-yard, Green did nothing but seemingly find the barrel in live action with lots of hard, loud contact all over the yard.

Landon Moran  1B - 2022 - Altamonte Springs, FL
Stetson

While there's certain two-way potential for Moran as he was up to 80 mph on the bump from the left side, he showed very intriguing skills with his lefthanded stroke. He shows nice balance with a natural feel for the barrel and plenty of looseness as well as clean defensive actions in the outfield in the outfield which he repeated well and showed a clean arm stroke.

Roman Anthony  OF - 2022 - Parkland, FL
Mississippi

Anthony is another young player who hasn't yet turned14 but already shows intriguing talent on the diamond. Long and projectable at 6-foot-2, 164-pounds, Anthony showcased a loose and easy lefthanded stroke with which he was able to drive the baseball and also showed his athleticism in the outfield.

Drake Flowers  RHP - 2022 - Jupiter, FL
Florida Southwestern State College

Flowers is a long and projectable 6-foot-3/160-pound righthanded pitcher who showed well this outing and projects for even more as he continues to physically develop. He ran his fastball up to 84 mph and maintained his velocity well while living down in the zone with a present feel for his 11-5 shaped curveball.

Jesus Pena  SS - 2022 - Miami, FL
Chipola College

Despite being a strongly built 6-foot, 190-pounds, Pena still moved well on his feet both in the 60-yard and through his defensive actions, showing nice body control and balance as well as a strong arm. Pena's raw power and overall strength in his bat is perhaps is loudest tool with quick hands and leverage to his path.

Dean Guzman  C - 2022 - Pembroke Pines, FL
Miami-Dade College

A young and athletic backstop, Guzman put together a nice performance throughout the weekend all over the diamond. After running an impressive 6.75 60, Guzman proceeded to show his athleticism defensively, handled upper-80s fastball well behind the plate, and exhibited a loose, full swing with a natural feel for the barrel.

Lou Paolillo  RHP - 2022 - Jupiter, FL
Eastern Florida State

Paolillo is a strongly built 5-foot-11, 172-pound, broad shouldered primary third baseman who impressed during his time on the mound. He ran his fastball up to 83 mph with a quick arm but also showed comfort in mixing three pitches for strikes which includes a tight spinning curveball up to 73 mph.

Azais Garza  OF - 2022 - Conroe, TX
Uncommitted

While standout speed isn't a tool you often see at the 14U level, it's the tool that's at the center of Garza's skillset as highlighted by his blazing 6.63 60-yard time. He showed an improvement in his arm strength from the outfield and found the barrel a few times in live action, including a loud double to his pull side.

Free Agents Top Prospects

Christopher Cruz  RHP - Free Agents - Santo Domingo, NC DOM

Cruz captured everybody's attention the moment he released his first pitch of his two inning stint which clocked in at 90 mph. He isn't eligible to sign until July 2 of 2019 but Cruz already shows a whip-like arm which produced an advanced arsenal with solid feel of both his curveball and changeup while sitting in the upper-80s.

Joaan De Jesus  SS - Free Agents - Santo Domingo, NC DOM

Nothing De Jesus Cespedes does on the diamond suggests his age as he more than held his own amongst his older peers this weekend. With obvious physical projection, De Jesus Cespedes showed advanced skills with the glove and overall actions up the middle while also showing a present feel for the barrel from the right side.

Manuel Beltre  SS - Free Agents - Santo Domingo, SD DOM
Florida International

Still only 13 years old, Beltre certainly doesn't play like his age as his actions and overall feel up the middle with very smooth hands and plenty of quickness to his feet. He was just as impressive offensively with plenty of bat speed and natural leverage with juice off the barrel.

Jaison Onell Chourio  OF - Free Agents - Maracaibo, ZU VEN

Jeison Onell Chourio may not be as physical as his brother Jackson (above), though he's also a full year young and has plenty of time to grow. He showed the same quick feet during the 60-yard as he did in the outfield and is also a switch-hitter with simple mechanics at the plate and comfort from both sides.

Jackson Brayan Chourio  OF - Free Agents - Maracaibo, ZU VEN

Despite his long and lean 6-foot, 135-pound frame, Brayan Chourio showed plenty of skills this weekend and it's exciting to envision what he could develop into. He's already an advanced defender in center field as he showed multiple times and already shows a handle for the barrel with back spin coming off.

Grabiel De Jesus Arias Morel  SS - Free Agents - Santo Domingo Este, NC DOM

Strongly built at 5-foot-10, 170-pounds, De Jesus Arias Morel showed nice skills all over the diamond and projects to only grow stronger moving forward. He showed nice defensive actions on the left side with plenty of arm to complete the long throw as well as a strong, balanced righthanded swing which yielded big strength off the barrel.
