Kelley Crawford
RHP - 2026 - San Mateo, CA
Cal Poly
The 6-2/175 Crawford turned in an impressive performance on the mound, striking out five hitters in three innings with no walks. He ran his fastball up to 83 mph and did a nice job of landing his curveball for strikes. He's a solid overall athlete who's going to keep getting better.
2027 Top Prospects
Austin Gerken
C - 2027 - Orange, CA
Uncommitted
Gerken was very impressive in all aspects of the game. He's a very strong 5-10/190 and that strength really shows in his right handed bat speed. He has very promising tools on defense behind the plate and was up to 82 mph with a three-pitch mix on the mound.
Kona Bainum
OF - 2027 - Beverly Hills, CA
Uncommitted
Bainum has an impressive 6-2/155 build that really projects well. His right handed swing gets very good extension and is loose with big potential bat speed. There is a high power/offensive ceiling here. Bainum is also a 7.00 runner with promising defensive tools in the outfield.
Lukas Waite
RHP - 2027 - San Diego, CA
Texas
Waite is a impressive young prospect with tools across the board. The 6-0/160 outfielder showed 6.84 speed in the sixty to go with a strong arm that registered 84 mph from the outfield and 85 mph off the mound. He has plenty of right handed bat speed and the present ability to drive the ball.
Jordan Kurz
SS - 2027 - Tustin, CA
Georgia Tech
Kurz is a strong 6-0/155 athlete with solid tools across the board and an advanced ability to play the game for his age. His right handed bat is a weapon and he has left side tools and skills on defense in the middle infield. Kurz was also up to 80 mph on the mound with a low 70's slider.
Owen Digenan
RHP - 2027 - Poway, CA
Cal State Fullerton
Owen Digenan stands out immediately with his projectable 6-2/172 frame and brought a solid overall skillset as well. He showed solid actions both in the INF and OF during his defensive workout showing aggressiveness and athleticism along with proper footwork/glovework. Offensively, it’s a simple swing that showed some loose quickness to the hands that produced plenty of line drives in BP and barrels in-game throughout the weekend. He also jumped on the mound where he attacked hitters with an 77-81 FB and a developing 68-70 CB that showed some downer action.
Elijah Kwon
OF - 2027 - Stevenson Ranch, CA
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges
Elijah Kwon showed one some advanced bat talent throughout the weekend. The left handed hitter displayed some above avg. bat speed working the barrel on an uphill path through the zone. On Sunday he caught three barrels in three ABs while showing some sneaky pop to the pull-side. He also ran one of the faster 60s of the group with a 7.07. Kwon also jumped on the mound where he pounded the strike zone with an upper 70s FB and a quality CB that he showed real feel for that generated a lot of whiff.
Aden Manning
LHP - 2027 - Bakersfield, CA
Holy Cross
Aden Manning brought projection and upside both at the plate and on the mound. At the plate, there’s good rhythm and balance to the swing where he syncs up his lower and upper half well. The swing itself is one where his hands throw a direct barrel that work inside the baseball well with some quickness. He ended up collecting 4 hits on the weekend. On the mound, there’s some rawness mechanically but the arm works loose and his FB at 75-78 came out well missing barrels with its running life. Also showed feel for his CB that he was able to get over for strikes that ended up freezing some hitters.
Talon Spencer
SS - 2027 - Mission Viejo, CA
University of California, Berkeley
Spencer was impressive on both sides of the ball as two-way prospect. He's a 7.15 runner who stood out defensively both in the infield and outfield. Spencer has a short and strong swing at the plate and showed promise on the mound with an upper 70's fastball and advanced pitchability.
Joaquin Covarrubias
OF - 2027 - Upland, CA
Southern Cal
Covarrubias showed well on both sides of the ball, especially with his left handed swing that was very well sequenced and executed. He also jumped on the mound and was up to 81 mph with a curveball and change up.
Kye Leenders
LHP - 2027 - Tualatin, OR
Uncommitted
Leenders dominated during his three innings of work, striking out six without allowing a hit. The 6-0/175 southpaw pounded the strike zone with a 78 mph fastball with outstanding boring life and mixed in a nice 70 mph slider as well.
Camden Nishnick
1B - 2027 - San Diego, CA
San Diego State
Nishnick is a big 6-3/175 right handed hitter and first baseman with big potential at the plate. He's already strong enough to overpower the ball and drive it and he's just going to keep adding bat speed as he matures physically.
Gavin Hamilton
OF - 2027 - Chandler, AZ
Uncommitted
Hamilton has a nice balance of tools and skills and tons of athletic versatility on defense, where he showed the ability to literally play all over the field. His right handed swing was very balanced and repeatable with some present bat speed.
Austin Olness
3B - 2027 - Hermosa Beach, CA
Uncommitted
Olness has nice size and strength at 6-0/175 and impressed on the mound with a fastball that reached 82 mph from a deceptive delivery and release that hides the ball well and enables the velocity to play up. He also showed good promise on his curveball.
Mason Sims
LHP - 2027 - Lake Elsinore, CA
Texas
The 5-10/150 Sims is very polished on the mound for his age and already has a solid three-pitch mix that he can throw for strikes. He worked up to 80 mph on his fastball to go with a sweeping slider and advanced change up.
Luke Hoffman
MIF - 2027 - Foothill Ranch, CA
Uncommitted
Hoffman has a real "ball player" look to him on the field and stood out especially in the games. He looked especially good at the plate, with nice rhythm to his swing and showed his pop with a loud ground rule double.
Ozzie Ortiz
SS - 2027 - Yuma, AZ
Uncommitted
Ortiz is a live bodied middle infielder with a nice balance of offensive and defensive tools to grow as he gets stronger. He has very strong fundamentals on both sides of the ball and pretty much squared up everything at the plate over the two days of BP and games.
Chris Smith
3B - 2027 - Dana Point, CA
Uncommitted
Smith has a nice athletic 5-11/140 build that will fill out well and lots of solid offensive tools. He gets some whip in his right handed swing with good bat speed and is also a 7.05 runner.
Ian Nunez
SS - 2027 - Downey, CA
Cal State Northridge
Nunez has strong defensive fundamentals behind the plate and blocks and receives with maturity while also showing a strong throwing arm. He has the strength in his right handed swing to continue to develop as a hitter.
Sean Tam
SS - 2027 - San Mateo, CA
Uncommitted
Tam showed well on the mound where he was able to strike a nice balance between his fastball and his secondary offering. He was locating the fastball in all four quadrants, and getting swing and misses on the changeup showing advanced pitchability.
Everett Flanegan
RHP - 2027 - Concord, CA
Uncommitted
Flanegan displayed quality actions on the infield, showing confident hands and quick feet throughout defensive workouts. An accurate arm was shown on throws across the diamond. At the plate, a balanced swing with a linear path found barrels on a consistent basis.
2028 Top Prospects
Scott Fritz
1B - 2028 - Hawthorne, CA
Uncommitted
Fritz is an outstanding two-way 2028 prospect with tools in all areas. The 6-3/160 lefty has an outstanding swing that is very loose and smooth and is also a 7.28 runner at his size and age. Fritz topped out at 80 mph on the mound with a very smooth delivery.
Grayson Thomas
RHP - 2028 - Manhattan Beach, CA
Uncommitted
Thomas is a very good young athlete who showed well on both sides of the ball. He was up to 75 mph on the mound with a nice slider that had some tilt and bite. His best tool might have been his right handed swing, which combined aggressiveness and good balance and direction through the ball.
