2019 Top Prospects

Derek Smith  OF - 2019 - Arundel, ME

The Bryant commit was excellent all around in this event. He took a very professional round of BP with hard line drives with good carry behind them, ran a 6.76 seconds 60 yard dash, and showcased his athleticism in the IF and OF with arm strength up to 85 and 87 in those spots. Also got on the mound and worked up to 83 mph.

Tommy Clark  RHP - 2019 - Framingham, MA

Clark is a physical righthander who stood out on the mound, working up to 85 mph with heavy, late sinking life on the fastball. He also worked in a sharp, late 11/5-shaped curveball that got swings and misses in the zone.

Colin McGrath  RHP - 2019 - Quincy, MA

McGrath employs a quick, clean arm stroke with good extension out front, working his fastball up to 85 mph and generating good sink on the pitch. He was able to effectively mix in a slider and changeup as well as move all 3 pitches around the strike zone.

O'Brien is a highly projectable righthander who should easily add good strength to his frame; and with that strength will come more velocity. He already works up to 84 mph with good arm speed and command to the bottom of the zone along with a good slider.

Cooper showed off some of the best raw pop of the entire event; with legitimate bat speed and strength onto a lofted plane, routinely driving the ball deep with HR power and big carry. He also showed to be a solid defensive infielder.

Andrew Snape  3B - 2019 - Hingham, MA

Snape showed well both on the mound and in the power-hitting department. He worked up to 84 mph on the bump with a power-breaking curveball; and also showed big time raw power at the plate, gearing up for power and driving the ball deep when on time.

Patrick Aubuchon  RHP - 2019 - Townsend, MA
Cincinnati Christian University

Aubuchon is a primary catcher who showed well behind the dish, showing clean actions with a pop time of 1.95 seconds as well as good strength to the pull field when hitting. He also got on the mound and worked up to 83 mph from a very tough low three quarters arm slot.

Nicholas Cote  OF - 2019 - Londonderry, NH

Cote ran a 6.94 seconds 60 yard dash then showed interesting arm strength from a host of positions, including 80 mph from both the IF and OF. He sinks his hips well into his swing and generates good strength as a result, showing legitimate pop to the pull field.

Jake Erlich  C - 2019 - North Easton, MA

Erlich showed well with the bat, driving line drives to all fields with good bat speed and jump off the barrel. He also threw 84 mph from the outfield with good footwork, and showed some things behind the plate, including a pop time of 1.91 seconds.

Fahey showed some of the louder offensive tools in this event, with excellent bat speed and strength and legitimate home run power to the pull field. He also showed legitimate power the opposite way, something not many underclassmen can do.

Kevin Gower  OF - 2019 - Barrington, RI
Massachusetts

Gower showed intriguing hitting tools with good line drive bat speed; showing the ability to work to all fields. He also has solid athleticism on the base paths as well as in the outfield; where he moved to and through fielding well and showed an 80 mph arm.

Carson Hauben  RHP - 2019 - Grafton, MA
Saint Anselm

Hauben showed a lot of strength at the plate with good power to the pull field when squared up, and also showed a left-side arm in the infield when he threw 86 mph across the diamond. He also popped a 1.92 when catching and worked up to 82 mph on the mound when he pitched.

Kevin Mackenzie  OF - 2019 - Needham, MA
Case Western Reserve University

Mackenzie really shows his strength when swinging the bat, getting on an uphill plane and leveraging well off of his front side, able to create legitimate power to the pull field of the over-the-fence variety. He also shows solid action in the outfield.

Michael Rodgers  C - 2019 - Weston, MA

Rodgers showed well both at the plate and behind it in this event. His hands work quite well with both bat speed and power behind his swing; capable of producing hard liners to all fields. He's a solid athlete when catching as well, and showed a pop time of 1.95 seconds.

Tenney showed off his physical strength when hitting, bringing the barrel around with authority and leveraging it well off of his front side, driving the ball on a rising line with impressive carry, especially to the pull field. He also has an 81 mph arm across the infield.


2020 Top Prospects

Harold Coll  SS - 2020 - Hyde Park, GA
University of Houston/San Jacinto CC

Coll was one of the best all-around performers in the event. He moves very well in the middle infield and is light on his feet with clean actions throughout, showing off a very strong arm with 85 mph across the diamond. He also has very good hitting tools, showing a clean swing with lots of bat speed and leverage, peppering firm line drives to all fields.

Seamus Barrett  RHP - 2020 - Arlington, MA
Louisville

Barrett really projects physically, and he does a good job of repeating his delivery for a very long-limbed young prospect. He worked up to 84 mph with his fastball and worked it to both sides of the plate in addition to showing a good curveball.

Ben Reyes  LHP - 2020 - Framingham, MA
Trinity College (Connecticut)

Reyes showed well on the mound, with an easy arm action and delivery that certainly project for increases in velocity as he continues to mature. He worked up to 81 mph from the left side in this event, and has advanced feel for both his changeup and breaking ball.

Peter Messervy  OF - 2020 - Weston, MA
Harvard

Messervy was very good throughout the event, showing off quality athleticism in the outfield with an 87 mph arm, working up to 80 mph on the mound when he pitched, and showing very good hitting tools, including big bat speed and developing power that worked to all fields.

Richie Williams  OF - 2020 - Georgetown, MA
Saint Anselm

Williams stood out in a variety of ways over the weekend. He threw 86 mph from the outfield with good carry and athletic actions; as well as working up to 82 mph on the mound with a hammer curveball. He also has big time hitting tools, with smooth hands and lots of bat speed.

Patrick Roche  SS - 2020 - Milton, MA
Boston College

Roche showed a consistently quick bat when hitting, covering the plate well and able to spray firm liners to all fields with good power to the pull field as well. He also showed very smooth actions in the infield with a quality arm as well.

Joe Henry  RHP - 2020 - Purchase, NY
Georgetown

Henry left the ballpark a few times during BP, showing some of the better power of the event with consistent strength and bat speed to his stroke. He also threw 83 mph across the diamond from 1st base with good footwork; as well as got up to 81 mph on the mound.

Michael Quigley  RHP - 2020 - Halifax, MA
Massachusetts at Lowell

Quigley showed off really solid arm strength in a couple of spots this weekend, including 83 mph on his throws across the diamond from shortstop. He then got on the mound and showed a long, loose arm action with a fastball up to 84 mph and good feel for his breaking ball.

John Carney  RHP - 2020 - Mansfield, MA
Bryant

Carney really projects physically, and when combined with his present stuff on the mound, that gives him good upside. He currently works up to 83 mph with his fastball with good arm side life in addition to quality feel for his curveball and his changeup.

Bennett Teceno  3B - 2020 - Osterville, MA
Trinity College (Connecticut)

Teceno showed a big arm across the diamond when working out in the infield, clocked up to 84 mph and showing zip and carry. He also took a good round of batting practice, driving the ball deep to the pull field when on time with the barrel.

Alex Ungar  SS - 2020 - Ronkonkoma, NY
Albany

Ungar did a lot of things well in this event; including showing off an 84 mph arm across the infield in addition to showcasing his ability to drive the ball into the air with good carry when hitting. He also worked up to 83 mph on the mound with feel for his curveball.

Donald Wille  C - 2020 - Holtsville, NY

Wille took a very loud round of batting practice, showing advanced strength and leverage off of his front side, driving the ball deep to the pull field with impressive carry. He really does a good job of using his lower half in his swing, and the strength is evident in the results.

Wojtkowski showed off his athleticism by running a 6.76 60 yard dash and taking that athleticism to the infield, where his smooth actions and footwork stand out. He showed off an 80 mph arm from shortstop as well.
